The only real con of this place is what Tracy P said in her review… that damn speed trap on College Station when you leave The Reserve to go DT/Campus/etc. I got my 1st speeding ticket there back in 2009. UGH. #iamstillbitter. :(But that speed trap isn’t The Reserve’s fault at all. Not worth docking a star over. Note: I lived here from July 2009 to July 2011. I lived here for 2 years during my undergrad and I actually still crash here sometimes when I’m in Athens with my friends. I LOVED living here. I actually showed my mom ALL apartments in Athens and we both concluded The Reserve was #1. I think I showed her like 8 – 10 places. Pros: — It’s on the Eastside of Athens = cheaper than Westside — So close to Kroger, restaurants, everything on the Eastside — Nicer apartments(not as nice as The Exchange [which is on the Westside = more expensive] but still, nice for an apartment in a college town) — Awesome leasing folks — I lived in Building 3(which is the best one btw!!!) and I was super close to the pool, trash(can walk over to throw the trash out), and leasing office — Probably a party in someone’s apartment every weekend during the spring/summer, but it wasn’t crazy loud or anything. — Doable drive to Campus. I didn’t really have traffic or get stuck when I went to classes. I usually had 9AM classes everyday. — Always found parking spots anytime of the day everyday. Cons: None I highly recommend this place to others :) Esp if your friends work in the leasing office. They made my stay here really pleasant. BTW: every summer, they«turn» the used apartments into brand new apartments. They like to hire residents for this. I did it one summer and it was pretty fun! Exhausting, but fun. We also got paid hourly for our labor. So – a cheap way to make money for ~3 weeks of work. I’d get your friends to do it too. Might as well suffer together with friends while making money during your«broke» college years haha. We honestly worked 40 hours per week for ~3 weeks. ^ Almost every apartment in Athens does this too. Just go apply! TBH, this place is better than Lakeside, Polo Club and etc. I’d maybe even say the best place to live on Eastside of Athens. BUTTTTTT that’s just me thinking that probably haha.

You know an apartment is good when the biggest con is the speed trap located just outside the complex. You know what I’m talking about College Station Road. I moved in armed with a can of bug spray, roach spray to be exact. As it was my first apartment, springtime in Georgia, and I was a novice bug killer, I was very worried that I was going to be facing menacing roaches battling me for the domain. I could picture them flicking their long antennae at me, emitting silent growls. To my huge relief, in my nine months at the Reserve, I didn’t have to kill a single roach! or any kind of bug. True to their word, they routinely sprayed the outside of the buildings, and the worst I had to deal with was a *dead* roach found in the corner of the living room. The apartment was comfortable, the bathrooms are large, and while parties are common on weekends, noise was never anything unbearable. The fitness room is functional and is not usually crowded. And every sunny day after spring break is a party at the pool and volleyball court. I enjoyed my stay and recommend it! Like I said, the biggest con for me was getting my first speeding ticket, and a hefty one at that.
