U Like Chinese Restaurant

This place has the best Chinese soups and lunch specials around. I eat here at least twice a week for lunch if not more. The food is affordable and always «bangin»!!!

This place recently opened on Main Street in Athens, Just south of the intersection of Main the the East Athens road.
This is a small take out Chinese Restaurant but seating for about a dozen people. It is quite clean and cheerful.
There are now 5 Chinese places here in the Valley and as far as take out goes this is now my favorite of the take out Variety. The two buffets are very good, but one tends to overeat.
I’ve ordered off the lunch menu several times now, and so far everything has been very good. The price is on par with the others in town. The portions are a tad smaller than the other two places, but the quality and taste is better. The sauces are lighter and tastier. The vegetables are cooked just to my liking, and the protein is of good quality.
Recently I had the Cashew shrimp. There were about ½ a dozen Medium shrimp in the order, and they were delicious. The soups don’t have that salty cooked forever flavor. I’m hooked on their Hot and Sour soup, my wife on the Wonton.
The smaller order, while still ample, is just about right. As my wife remarks, «Often Chinese food doesn’t reheat well». As any Chinese restaurant service is very prompt. The girl behind the counter speaks good English and is very nice.
