Hiring Kate for our wedding photography was the best decision we made during the entire process of our wedding planning. We chose her not only for her documentary style and obvious talent as a photographer, but also because we connected with her instantly when we first interviewed her over the phone.
The «getting to know you» session before the wedding was a total treat, as my husband is one of the most awkward people in photographs. With Kate, he was instantly at ease and looked great in our photos. She has a such a calming presence, and really knows how to capture the little moments that are so special.
We also couldn’t be happier with timeline of everything — we received a really cool slide show of some special shots about two weeks after the wedding to hold us over while we wait for the rest of the images.
Kate is not only a pro, but instantly makes you feel like you’re just out having fun with an old friend. We couldn’t be happier and are so grateful that we found Kate to work with!

All hail Kate Harrison! Like a previous reviewer, I wish I could give her a million stars! I am terribly camera shy, and was truly nervous about taking wedding photos. Kate is so real, so sweet, and so open hearted that it was easy for me to relax and just trust her. I adore her natural, photojournalistic style, and feel that she truly captured the spirit of the day. She sent the slideshow of our pictures soon after the wedding, and at first viewing I seriously cried tears of happiness. Our only regret is that the wedding is over and we don’t have an excuse to hang out with Kate all the time!

I finally joined Unilocal so I could write reviews for the amazing people that made our wedding day truly magical and unforgettable. A good friend recommended that we use Kate as our photographer, and I could not be happier that we did! She felt like a great, long-​lost friend the first time we spoke, and Alex and I both loved every minute we spent with her… which on your wedding day is quite a bit. Alex does NOT like having his picture taken, but Kate’s laid-​back spirit really made him comfortable and able to relax. She takes the time to find out about both the bride and groom and our story as a couple, so our pictures and time with Kate feel very personal. She did not try to «pose» us in any uncomfortable or unnatural ways, and she helped us appreciate the beauty and joy of our day, as it was happening and now every time we look back at the pictures.
Her images are beautiful, unique and really captured the essence of our day. And, just as important, she is truly delightful to be around. She and her assistant moved through the day with us but without being intrusive in any way. It may sound cheesy, but her love of life and beauty shines through her pictures. If you want someone that will capture your day with beautiful images rather than spending a ton of time posing for pictures, then you will love Kate!

She made us feel so comfortable. Her pictures really captured the day in the most dreamy wonderful way. She made taking photographs feel romantic, playful and fun! She had us share wonderful moments from our day and relationship while capturing candid photo’s. If I could give a million stars I would. I absolutely adore Kate Harrison! She’s the most talented photographer you will find. I knew that when I searched for our wedding photographer he/​she needed to have that eye for originality and spunk. I know everyone nowadays goes in the way of photojournalism, but Kate takes it to a whole different level. Meeting her for our engagement shoot left me feeling completely at ease and Kate’s energy and positivity is completely infectious. I love her style and how she sees things in a completely different way. Our engagement shots were beautiful!
On our wedding day Kate did such a good job of being around and getting good shots, but in a way that you barely even realized she was there. I only wish we had more time in the day to take more shots. My biggest regret of our wedding day for sure. Everyone loved our pictures and Kate even gave us a slideshow within days of the wedding so everyone could re-​live the moments while it was still fresh in our minds. I highly recommend Kate for anyone looking for the most perfect wedding photographer.
P. S. She loves to be green and will even offer discounts if you incorporate it into your wedding. How cool is that?

The wedding day with Kate was phenomenal. Her warmth and spirit added a ton to our day and helped calm both my husband and my nerves. LOVED every single minute of taking photos with Kate.

Oh how I love thee Kate Harrison, allow me to count thy ways…
1.) SHE IS SO NICE… I was RACING to get to our first meeting and I literally coasted into the gas station with zero gas and 2 minutes to spare before being late. Let’s just say I was rudely late to our appointment and she literally hugged me upon seeing me. She was so sweet it hurt. We sat on her comfy couches and just talked. Yes we saw some photos she happened to take, but mostly we just vibed. I signed the contract the next day.
2.) WHAT A CLASS ACT… she sent me a gorgeous arrangement of flowers as a thank you, all white and fluffy romantic as I had told her I love!
3.) SHE IS TALENTED… our engagement shots were seriously impressive. No posed, weird moments that make you cringe when you see them. They were romantic, sweet, gorgeous, and showcased our love to a T!
4.) SHE MADE US FEEL AT EASE… Sitting on a bench in golden gate park with a camera in front of you is slightly awkward. After taking 20 minutes worth of scary shots, Kate had us laughing with one another, whispering sweet nothings and rolling in the grass. By the end of the afternoon we felt like models.
Overall we are 100 000 percent sure she is the right photographer for us. We feel so fortunate to have booked Kate and look forward to a wonderful wedding day with her.

Kate is an amazing wedding photographer. To me, the wedding photographer was one of the top three most important vendors that we hired because when the day is all over, the pictures are what you have left to remember all the special moments by. I knew I liked Kate’s style as she had photographed two of my friends’ weddings and you can view her work on her blog. However, I was blown away by the pictures of our wedding. She really listened to everything about the style of pictures I liked and they couldn’t have come out perfect. Kate did an amazing job of capturing each and every moment, all without you even noticing that she was taking your picture. She has such enthusiasm for her job and an amazing eye. Kate is truly talented and you will not regret hiring her.
