ABC Early Learning Academy

My son has an amazing experience during his time at ABC. He started there when he was 3 months old and he (and his father and I) enjoyed everything about this center. The care that they gave to our son for the four years he was there was more than we could have imagined. His teachers gave him a wonderful start and fostered his love of learning. We will forever be grateful to the staff and management at ABC.

This daycare is AWESOME!!! My son lights up every morning when he walks through the front door. For the life of me I still can’t figure out how they manage to keep the place SO CLEAN with so much going on. I’ve visited many daycare centers in the area and this one is by far the best. We LOVE it!

My child goes to ABC Early Learning Academy on Ponce De Leon and she is very happy. The teachers are very caring and friendly. I am very satisfied with the service I’m receiving. I know my child is safe and loved because I view the cameras. She walks through the halls of that school and EVERY teacher knows her name. And Mrs. Gibson is very kind and helpful. Whoever is writing bad reviews can’t possibly be referring to this school. I have celebrated my child’s birthday outside the school and several of the parents came and we all had the same feelings, our children will remember this center as a happy, fun-​loving place! When I pick my child up she cries because she wants to be there so someone on the staff walks her out. I have also witnessed the staff loving on other kids and actually taking the time to wipe there tears away when they are stressed. I commend these teachers because when we are working they are the parents, teacher, doctor, counselor & friend!

Fantastic daycare center. I finally decided to leave a Unilocal review so that I can allow other parents who are looking for magnificent childcare the opportunity to experience what I have here at ABC early learning academy. My daughter has been attending for 3 years now. I’ve never had any problems out of ANY of the teachers. Mrs Gibson, the assistant director has been working with my family through every milestone of my child’s life, so far. Every teacher that my child, my husband, and I have encountered at this facility has welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. This is truly my Child’s family away from home. I love this daycare center, not only because of the accessibility in terms of my job — but because Mrs Victoria, the owner, includes me in all aspects of the curriculum for my child also. The fact that i receive emails and newsletters from her when they’re introducing new topics and seasons is great. There’s also a webcam that parents are able to log into throughout the day in order to «check in» with their kid. GREAT! The teachers are devoted to these children, and you can see it from the first moment that you walk into the door. My child, and others, are truly loved at this school, and it gives me a peace of mind knowing that the teachers feel the same way about my child, as I do. I would recommend this school to ANYONE.

My child was abused at this facility. The first time my son complained about a teacher hurting his arm, I figured he may have been exaggerating. I asked to have a meeting with ms. gibson, she literally refused I had to force her.
Later I witnessed the same teacher man handle a small girl on the live camera, by picking her up by her arm and leg and throwing her down on her mat. I brought it to Ms. Gibson’s attention. She assured me that it was not acceptable and she had multiple grand children ect. She assured me that she would review the cameras.
A few days later I came in the class room my son was hysterical, I asked him what was wrong, the SAME teacher immediately began to over talk him. My son grabbed me by my hand and told me that this same teacher pinched him. He was very persistent and when she denied it, he told her «yes you did!»
I attempted to contact Ms. Victoria the owner she never responded. I spoke to ms. gibson once again in the most professional manner possible and she accused me of threatening her… I should have but I never did. I ASKED HER ABOUT THE PREVIOUS CAMERA FOOTAGE SHE SAID IT DELETED ITS SELF. At this point I knew she was simply an evil nasty old woman with a fake smile.
When I came to the school the next day, the same teacher was very hostile toward me when I asked about my child’s day. I immediately began secretly recording with my I pad. It was clear that ms Gibson, never addressed the issue and the teacher had no idea that I had made complaints against her. She was told that I said something derogatory about her and was instructed not to talk to me anymore???
After I began to address the issues once again with ms Gibson (as I recorded her responses) she told me my son could no longer attend. (this was his last day anyway) she refused to issue me a refund for my pre paid balance as well. Told my son that he could not tell his friends goodbye!!! (Who treats a child like that)
I told her that I would not be leaving without my refund, she began screaming that she would call the police on me IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN. (I recorded the entire ordeal) I told her I would wait out front for the police. She told the police that I was irate and I was a threat to her and the children (not knowing that I had recorded EVERYTHING)
When the police came I played back the tape for the officer, he immediately disregarded their accusations and took my report. (If you inbox me I will provide you a copy) before it was over Ms. Gibson was almost arrested in front of the center. (The teacher had already left)
I truly feel that the owner has some type of affiliation with defacs because when I got the investigation report, it said that they investigated for «lack of supervision» not abuse. I am having that defacs worker investigated now.
Ms. Gibson is a manipulative and ignorant hood rat who greets you with fake smiles at the door. She could care less about those children. I just thank God that my son was the best talker in the class and I took the time to listen.
The center looks nice but take a deeper look, the teachers are mostly hood rats who get paid next to nothing which means they can’t put food on their own table. (Some don’t even have teeth) So why would they care if your child is properly cared for. (Theirs go without everyday)
Find a better facility, it’s not worth the risk.

Very bad managent. Dont treat their staff members well. Thats the reasons teachers keep changing every other day.

My daughter went here from 8 weeks until about 6 months. The only reason I moved her was because I was relocated for my job. I loved this place! I never once doubted that my child was getting quality care! Her teacher was amazing! This place was a blessing for me as a new mom!

My daughter just graduated from pre-​K today and she has had a wonderful experience! The staff are excellent from; Ms. Tisha at the front desk (very pleasant and helpful), Mr. Watson makes all the great food for the children (great personality!), and the pre-​K teachers (Ms. Veena, Ms. Lauren, Ms. Carter, and Ms. Jennifer) are great with children. Ms. Maria is so supportive and helpful. The program director Kimberly is amazing. The executive director Victoria is very hands on and one of the most understanding people I have ever met! The other staff members are very friendly as well –they always say ‘hello’ and have a smile on their face. They have truly provided an exceptional experience my daughter learned a lot and enjoyed her time there. I have 2 other small children that will be going there soon as well.
I also like the fact that the place is very secure! Each parent has a code to get in and each child is clocked in and out by their parent or guardian via a secure finger print code system.
Finally, the renovations to the interior are great and really add value to overall experience at ABC Early Learning Academy. If you live or work in midtown/​downtown or the surrounding areas ABC Early Learning Academy should be your first choice for your child!

I love this place and the staff… they are all so friendly and loving! Kudos because my daughter loves them just as much! Bonus: they just renovated their interior space, and it looks great!!!
