We have taken our dog here several times for the same issue after spending x amount of dollars the issue remains. This place prescribed the wrong medicine on the first visit, the second visit was a small fortune as we had to do blood work to find the underlying cause of the problem, we did and were prescribed another medication. To make a horrible and long story short the problem has not been solved and we are now dealing with a much better vet. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your animals treatment. This place is only here to make money and could honestly care less about the pets. Unfortunately I did have to give one star or otherwise it would have been none.

The most compassion and amazing Vets in the world. We have used them for 16 years and they have always been wonderful. We had to let our 20 years dog go this week. They had a full schedule but when they heard she was failing fast they had us come in and they saw her right away. Dr. Fireman talked with us and helped us make the hard decision to let her go. She gave us time to take her outside and say good bye then stated with us and helped ease our Durt baby on her journey. This is not a onetime thing 10 years ago they help with our old cat Misty with the same Dignity and compassion. They are the best.

I have been taking my pets here over 3 years now. I have 2 dogs, and had 3 cats, all cared for here. Today my 15 year old cat, who was my buddy, had to go to the afterlife. have never dealt with this for my pets, I have been present for someone else’s dog euthanasia a few years ago and dreaded the idea of this one day for any of mine. Today I got home around 1:00 p.m. to find my Jojo wailing and shallow breathing. I knew on the way there that this was his final hour, with still hope. I drove over to Ansley in the time it take to form a sentence. The office was already closed but there were some staff members finishing paperwork and that is when I realized they had closed. I was too distraught to call and check. They let me in as soon as they spotted me, and I was quickly tended to.
I cannot now recall the vet’s name, as I was too focused on my cat. She was super attentive and quickly gave him assessment and noticed kidney swelling, etc. She gave me all options for further diagnosis, but I knew it was time to let go. He had given me all the love he was set out to share and it was time for him to go where cats roam.
They gave me the time required to come to terms with the decision and tended to Jojo with such tenderness. I fell apart and my friend was able to join, and we finally moved to the final injection. It is one of the hardest moments of my life right now, but I am glad of how we were treated, not rushed, not hounding me for payment while I am still grieving. I am appreciative of them and now more than ever.

Can’t say enough about Ansley Animal Clinic and the people that work there. Ansley has provided first rate care for our pets over almost two decades, including inevitably and sadly, easing their passing when it’s time.
Routine appointments are not hard to schedule — you don’t have to wait weeks. And emergencies have been handled immediately on several occasions.
We’ve had favorite Ansley veterinarians over the years, but really, all of them have been great.
I was really saddened when I heard about the death of Elliot, the clinic kitty. He was awesome.

What a friendly place to bring your pet! The doctors are so helpful and the front desk are some of the nicest people I’ve ever spoken with at a doctor’s office. They are prompt, and the services are priced well. If you are looking for an A+ vet take your pet here!

I got my Puppy in May 2015 and chose Ansley after great recommendations from friends and neighbors. Pros: He seems to like it. The staff is friendly and professional. I like the facility itself. The vets are very knowledgeable and give great advice. Cons: Billing: I wish the billing was a bit more descriptive and transparent. The same service seems to fluctuate every time, it could be because different rates for different vets, but I would have loved for someone to have explained that to me or give me the choice of which doc my puppy should see. Duplicate services — My dog had a certain test performed during his prior visit and was not due to have another one for another couple of months. The tech didn’t see this in his chart and just performed the test without consulting me. i figured it out when I checked out. The same thing happened with an ear swab. This all totaled $ 64.50. not a huge deal. but I’d prefer if they discussed this with me. All in all a good place and I’ll likely return since I’ve started out. Next time I’ll be more vocal about the fees.

We found Ansley Animal Clinic about a year ago after having a bad experience at another vet’s office, our cats at that time were just kittens who needed to have their booster shots and sprayed/​neutered. The AAC team made our experience wonderful. Dr. Coates and Dr. Scott are both amazing with our two cats. We are so glad that we found AAC!

If I could give more ** I would! Dr Wood and the entire team at AAC was so kind and compassionate around the illness and subsequent final moments of my cat. Not only do they treat the animal with kindness and respect but also understand the human element and emotions as well. They were pros from the first day I brought him in as a feral kitten until his final moments.

Dr Brandley is so kind and knowledgable! I have been going to this clinic with our 3 dogs and 1 cat for 10 years. She is exceptionally good with pets with chronic illnesses.

Is there anything better than seeing your dog completely content at the vets? Ansley was referred to us by a friend in my apartment building. I can not believe how much my dog just absolutely adored every single person he encountered at Ansley. My dog can be super fearful of new situations, especially men. I told the vet, vet tech etc all of this, and they proceeded super gentle, and made me feel actually more at ease as well. We just moved to Atlanta last month, and I could not be more excited to have found the staff at Ansley animal. My dog, Willie lights up when we even drive by! By the end of the visit Dr. Odebralski was literally on the floor with my 45 pound Lab mix in his lap. Doesn’t get much better than this :) Thank god we found Ansley!

I had to make the unfortunate choice to euthanize my cat. Dr. Wood was extremely kind and considerate. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for compassionate pet care.

Since moving back home from out of state we have been in search for a veterinary for our pup Kai. Today we had a wonderful experience with Ansley Animal Clinic. Great, clean atmosphere and friendly staff! My pup Kai loved all the green space around the building since the clinic is right next to Piedmont park. He got his annual shots and did wonderful and was rewarded with lots of treats. So happy to find a great place for my fur child! p. s. For Atlanta this place has tons of parking, extra bonus!

We have been a client of Ansley for 10 years. The only vet I had known prior to Dr. Brower and team was our family friend Dr. John, who happened to be our vet. The staff and vets at ansley have treated my animals the same way Dr. John treated our animals.
Their compassion has been always there, but even more during our time of need yesterday, when our beloved lab’s quality of life had reached it’s end. Dr. Brower and her tech were themselves invested in our dog’s well being., supportive and compassionate about him almost to the point of tears themselves.
Thank you Ansley for the love you showed for our boy.

I switched to Ansley after my previous vet began gouging horribly. Ansley is priced appropriately for an in-​town vet.
When I brought home my German Shepherd pup, I wanted to try a raw diet and I wanted to wait to neuter him. I was almost scolded by the vet at Ansley for suggesting this. There was a holistic vet in the hood, at the time, and I tried that out. Long story short, while she loved my alternative plans, the holistic vet was so disorganized, I couldn’t possibly consider her for regular vaccinations and checkups.
Ansley is always busy but incredibly consistent. I’ve never felt as though they were over-​booking or not being respectful of my time.
Recently, I needed after hours emergency care for my cat. Ansley was closed so I went elsewhere. Long story short, this time, is that the other vet was completely incompetent. I brought my cat home and visited Ansley the next day. Dr Wood diagnosed a bowel obstruction, immediately, and sent me off for surgery at St. Francis. So they get 5 stars for being great at what they do!
As far as the raw diet is concerned, this is a controversial topic. A vet, like a human physician, has an obligation to base their recommendations on science and evidence. There have not been any funded studies on raw diet because, who is going to pay for them? I would love it if they had a more open mind to things like that but I really can’t fault them for it. My cat is alive because they focus their efforts on their practice and what they know will be effective given the information and tools that they have. Highly recommended.

We have been very happy with our recent experiences at Ansley Animal Clinic. We have taken our two cats here for a check up and teeth cleaning/​extraction. The staff is very friendly, efficient and professional. I appreciated their phone calls with appointment reminder and post-​appointment check-​ins. The staff really seemed to care about the well being of all the animals that come to the clinic. We appreciate it!

I last reviewed Ansley two years ago. I thought I’d provide a quick update.
I’ve started taking my dog to another clinic that I strongly prefer. My cat, however, needs emergency care now and then due to some persistent health problems. Since Ansley is so close and has his records, I’ve continued to take him there. They’ve renovated their facility, and it looks a million times better! That said, their waiting room is still tiny, which is frustrating– like I said previously, it makes already nervous pets crack!
And, like I said last time– the wait here is crazy. Today I had an appointment for an annual exam. I waited almost 45 minutes to see a vet. I understand that medicine can’t be timed down to the second, but if people are ALWAYS waiting that amount of time (and I’ve never, ever gotten into my appointment in under thirty minutes), then perhaps you’re packing the appointment book too tight.
And also, like I said last time: The vets themselves are very nice and professional. I like them a lot. But the front end– the waiting room, the wait time, etc– means that I’m never really thrilled with Ansley, and wouldn’t enthusiastically recommend it to my friends.

Like many of the reviewers on here, I recently relocated to Atlanta and chose to set my pups up at Ansley Animal Clinic due to the good reviews online and close proximity to my house. I have actually taken two of my dogs to this vet (I have 3!) and overall, experiences have been good.
The first visit was for my female 2yo shepherd mix, who had to go in for an emergency visit due to a swollen foot and lameness. She was seen quickly and it was diagnosed as a snake bite and treated as such. Regular meds and within a couple of days (and $ 300 later!) this pup was back to normal.
The second visit was for my female 10yo pit with a suspected torn ACL [her second]. This visit was slightly less successful given that we paid $ 200 for a vial of medicine, some x-​rays and a referral to a vet that may actually know what was wrong. I understand that general practitioner vets are just that — general. But… I have had several experiences in the past with very intelligent general practitioner vets that have exceeded my expectations either because of their education or commitment to the field. Either way, don’t expect anything more than «general practitioner» at Ansley. BTW my pit did turn out to have a torn ACL and had surgery at Northlake.
My most recent experience was taking my shepherd mix back in for a routine check up. You know, the usual… fecal exam, heartworm test, DHPP, bordetella, rabies vaccines. Fun stuff! And I was completely expecting $ 200 bill when it was all said and done. However; my pup had an ear infection and I THOUGHT that having that checked out while simultaneously having a wellness exam would be the most economical route. I was charged $ 30 each for an ear swab and an ear cleanout, $ 52 for ear infection medicine AND $ 35 for her annual exam. C’mon, seriously? I could have cleaned out her ears myself — all they used was soap and water, and as an owner of 3 dogs, I have plenty of ear cleaning solution sitting around. The kicker, they weren’t even dirty.
BOTTOM LINE: This vet will nickel and dime you to death. I’ve worked with vets in the past that would do some things free of charge while you’re already in the building for a scheduled appointment, as a courtesy.
But — I will continue to take my dogs there as it is convenient, I’m very confident in the aptitude of the vets working there and their knowledge of general nuances with pets, the office and exam rooms are clean and I actually like the fact that the building is so old it slightly resembles a barn. They ARE animals for goodness sake.

My dog got fleas and I needed to get her some medicine, so I called to make an appointment. I had just moved to Atlanta and didn’t have a vet yet. This clinic is right around the corner from me, so I thought I would try it.
I called on a Monday morning, figuring it would be less busy during the week and I would be able to get an appointment quickly. No luck. The woman on the phone said they were booked all week, but they had an opening Saturday morning. So I watched my poor dog scratch all week (and spreading fleas to the cat).
On Saturday, I got to the clinic and waited in line for 20 minutes just to get to the counter to let them know I was there. When I finally got to speak to someone, I found out that the woman on the phone had scheduled my appointment for the NEXT Saturday, not this week as she had told me. Apparently this clinic is so overbooked you have to wait two weeks to get flea medicine.
The woman at the desk offered no apologies for the mix up. She told me I might (no guarantees) be able to see someone today if I waited a while. Since I had to wait 20 minutes just to get to the front desk, I figured a while meant pretty long.
No thanks, I’ll find a vet that doesn’t make my dog suffer for two weeks before they can see her. And one that at least tries to make a good impression on a new client.

I was shocked and disappointed at the experience I had at Ansley Animal Clinic.
I recently moved to the area and have an indoor/​outdoor cat. She started showing signs of difficulty swallowing and would gag pretty frequently/​threw up a few times.
I was shocked because when I called, the phone interaction was great, the woman was so sweet and caring, the office staff when I arrived was wonderful, the woman who led me to the room was so kind and attentive, but the veterinarian herself was far from helpful.
I saw Dr. Hayes, and her demeanor was almost condescending in a way.
She immediately confronted me about letting my cat outside, saying there were coyotes in Midtown. I informed her I live in an attic apartment and that my cat was primarily on the roof. Her response, «Well, no coyotes up there».
Then she proceeded to interrogate me on why I wouldn’t have a collar on my cat if she’s outside. I told her due to my cat’s obvious throat irritation that I had taken her collar off the night before.
Following the interrogation, she saw two black specks on the exam table and immediately pegged it that my cat had fleas.
Meanwhile, she still has yet to address the actual reason I am there.
Finally, she looked down my cat’s throat, claimed she didn’t see anything. Asked if I’d been sick, I said no, and she then explained that cats can get sore throats from owners.
In the end, about a 10 minute exam total, and $ 85 later, my cat apparently had a sore throat and she gave me some liquid antibiotics to give her twice a day.
Yet, a week later and after the medicine has ran out, my cat still is having complications swallowing.
I have never felt more belittled and unwelcome by a vet. Will not be returning.

The folks at Ansley Animal Clinic, specifically Melissa, are just terrific. They go to great lengths to make sure that you’re happy.
Triscuit, my Rat Terrier, became ill from a shot and we had to go back for some pain meds. Melissa met us after hours and treated us both like we were part of her family.
Highly recommended. Since our pups are often treated as part of the family, this familiar treatment is much, much appreciated.
