Art of the Smile

I have Aetna DMO plan. And it is really hard finding a good dentist on this plan. I found Dr. Burak Tekin on Aetna’s provider list. I saw that he had several positive reviews on Unilocal.I agree with other positive reviews. I had my appointment scheduled in the morning before lunch. When I got there I did not even have to wait to get in. I had a complete x-​ray and a thorough cleaning. Dr. Tekin does a great job of explaining my treatment options. His office staff is friendly and helpful. I needed the Dr. to make another referral for me and they got it done the same day. If you’re having a hard time finding a dentist on a DMO plan, then look no further.

So let me start off by saying that I have complete anxiety about visiting the dental office– for anything. After having a bad few years with a dentist, I decided to transfer all of my records to highly recommended Dr. Tekin and his staff.
After my first visit, Dr Tekin and his staff made me feel very comfortable and where was my anxiety all of a sudden? I had several dental problems that needed attention. They were very efficient with helping me schedule my appointments in order of importance and saw me thorough the end. Even the newest dental hygienist was fabulous!
The facility is clean, comfortable, stylish– was just what I needed.
The staff is smart, friendly, competent, attentive– I needed that too!

I chose Dr. Tekin’s office based on them accepting my new dental insurance and the good reviews on Google and Unilocal.Dr. Tekin and his staff (Kayla and Susan) exceeded my expectations on my first visit today.
Susan was the technician who performed my cleaning and she made it the most comfortable and relaxed cleaning I think I have ever had.
Dr. Tekin is great as far as listening and understanding your immediate needs and future goals with your smile. He understands cost limitations of having a 100% perfect smile but gives a good plan of attack to get the smile you seek. Through years of neglect I am still playing catch up restoration but he gave me a good plan of attack to get to where I can focus on cosmetics.
Thank you Dr. Tekin and your entire team! So glad to have found you guys and have already referred two colleagues to you.

I made an appointment here after switching insurance and my last dentist was no longer supported. But I really liked going here and would continue going even if I could switch back.
The office is clean and neat. I did not wait long for my appointment. They had on fun music and the TV in the front lobby was playing music videos.
Everyone was nice, from the front desk staff, to the technician, to Dr Tekin. I will definitely keep going here and recommend it to anyone.

Dr Tekin was a second opinion after a horrid experience. I thought he was very nice and personable. The front desk lady is super sweet and really accommodating. The office was really nice and clean, didnt feel like I was in a dental office at all which was comforting.

My husband and I moved to Atlanta from Austin, Texas about a year and a half ago and this is the third dentist we have tried. We finally hit the jackpot! The office is very nicely furnished and immediately made me feel relaxed. The music selection was a welcome surprise (Paul Simon and Jack Johnson — some of my favs) and the staff were great. My cleaning was quick and easy (probably because I take good care of my teeth by brushing and flossing regularly) and I had a thorough discussion with the dentist and hygienist about my options to fix my front teeth, which were damaged by a fall many years ago. There was no up-​selling and I left feeling like I received the full benefit of my dental insurance from a very professional and pleasant dental practice.

Nice office, nice people working there as well;) my teeth feel clean and shiny post cleaning! Plus Dr Tekin is a tufts grad. for all you non northerners that’s a very good school. I definitely recommend

Normally I don’t write reviews on Unilocal but Art of the Smile really is a great place to go. The appointment started as soon as I got there, Kayla was extremely organized and had called 3 separate times to help me reschedule an earlier time for the appointment. I don’t think I’ve gone to any dentist as organized as they were. They were very patient and weren’t pushy with extra treatment which I really appreciated. It was extremely affordable as well. They were really excited I used Unilocal.I would definitely recommend.

Really enjoy the professional staff and the extra attention paid to making the office comfortable and relaxing. Susan is very friendly and does a thorough but gentle cleaning. Kayla is super with the scheduling, reminders, and billing. Dr. Tekin did a great job with my fillings and crowns. They worked with my insurance and after a little settling in time everything everything looks/​feels perfect. The location is not super convenient for me, but the great service makes it worth the drive.

I’m writing this review after getting work done while I am still numb and still I have to give Dr. Tekin and his staff a 5 star rating!
Now I have no issues with having dental work done but had moved from NY and I hadn’t been to the dentist in a little over a year. I spent hours reading reviews on different sites and trying to find somebody that would take my insurance. I finally choice Art of the Smile and am so glad I did.
My first visit I got a tour and met all the staff. Susan spent a lot of time checking my teeth, completing full x-​rays, and completing a cleaning (regular, no push for the «deep cleaning» as stated in another review). Dr. Tekin is extremely nice and explains everything. They came up with an entire care plan but didn’t push anything or try to sell me on extra treatments. Everything was «when you feel comfortable» or «if you want to have that done.»
Today I had the start of some crown work done. Dr. Tekin’s office is really equipped for comfort. He is very calming as well and as gentle as possible. He has television and headsets so you don’t have to hear the drill. He also stops whatever he is doing at the first sign of any discomfort. Bonus… he has great music playing (not elevator stuff), today he was in an 80’s mood!
Kayla is awesome at the front desk. She is sweet, helpful, and courteous
I am so glad that I happened upon Dr. Tekin. I would highly, highly recommend him to anybody but especially people that are uncomfortable with going to the dentist.

Love this office! I chose this place at random from a list of providers on my insurance plan and I’m so glad I did. Everyone I have contact with is amazing and I feel like I’m going to see my friends and family when I visit this place. The office has a spa-​like feel, it almost seems like you are waiting to get a massage rather than a dental cleaning. It’s a very calming environment. Kayla at the front desk is always super friendly and helpful and Susan the dental hygienist is great. Susan remembers everything we chat about during my appointments and it’s like catching up with an old friend every time I come in. Then there is Dr. Tekin. Great dentist with a personality to match. He takes his work very seriously and I always feel like I am getting the best care from him. He has also followed up with me after appointments on the phone and I’ve even run into him at the grocery store and he knows me and asks how I am since the last visit. I highly recommend this office!

Bad experience. They refused to do a regular cleaning and instead tried to sell me a «deeper cleaning» not covered by my insurance. So my visit was basically a waste of time. I have my teeth cleaned every 6 months, sometimes even sooner, but am new to Atlanta and needed to find a new provider. I really wanted to like this place since it is near my home. Alas, my first visit was also my last. Front desk person and dentist seemed polite and professional but hygienist’s attitude was very rude. Strange office setting that seemed to want be more spa than medical environment. Went elsewhere and got a routine check-​up and cleaning with no problems. My advice would be to avoid this place!

Dr. T is truly a gem! I actually love going to the dentist. Susan is my favorite and takes care of my teeth and gums! Kayla is so helpful and as sweet as can be! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! You are pampered and spoiled each visit! Thank you guys, I don’t know where I would be without you!

Dr Tekin and his staff rock! I used Dr. Tekin while I attended GA. Tech and his staff was always very nice and the quality of care was great, all though I fortunately never needed anything major (just cleanings and a few fillings).
I would still use Art of the Smile if I didn’t live over an hour away could come by without taking time of from work. I’m very sad to have to change.
You will need a few bucks for parking though.

Been seeing Dr. Tekin & his staff for a little over 7 months, and so far have been really impressed.
