Due to Artlite not being a chain and their high prices, you might assume they provide good customer service. To the contrary. I brought in two pens made by the same manufacturer I previously bought at Artlite. I explained that the ballpoint retraction device was not functioning and tried to show it to the salesman. He would not look at them, much less pick up either pen and verify the problem or perhaps feign to solve the malfunction. All he did was tell me it was not Artlite’s responsibility or problem. He demonstrated no interest in assisting a long time customer. The other salesman came over and offered the same level of disinterest. This is not an isolated incident. Artlite has reduced the size of its store and appears to have a dwindling customer base. I will no longer trade with this overpriced, arrogant niche retailer. I will go to elsewhere to purchase other products Calendars, pens, refills, desk accessories, etc.) and pay close to half the price that Artlite charges for these items.
