Great selection of hard to find drum gear. I can always find something I don’t need, but want. I like their selection of used gear too. I know businesses are hard to sustain and bills have to be paid but most of the gear in there I can find online much cheaper. However, I like to support mom and pop operations and I like to touch stuff. The staff is very helpful and you can always go in to just talk drums. I’m dinging a star for their prices but otherwise I enjoy checking out this drum shop.

This is the best resource I’ve found for drummers in the 3 years I’ve lived in Atlanta. The staff has you covered whether you just need a pair of sticks or expert advice. I recently inherited a classic set of stainless steel Ludwig’s when my dad passed away. I wanted to know more about them and within minutes of talking to the owner, he was able to tell me what they were based on the badge type and serial numbers. Did I mention he did all this from memory? These guys know their stuff and have a true passion for all things percussion. The best part is that they don’t rub their expertise in your face, which has happened to me on numerous occasions at other«big box» retailers. More than once, I’ve found myself going in for something simple and end up spending hours in store just«talking shop». It’s as local as it gets… and that’s a great thing. As for inventory, it is a small business and they don’t have the massive inventory you’ll see in national retailers. That said, they do have most of what you’ll need and, if they don’t stock it, they can get it. I recently bought a hardware case that they special ordered and they were able to get it for me quickly and at a cheaper cost than I could find online. Bottom line: ATL Drum Collective is the place to go for all things drumming in Atlanta.
