I agree with other reviewers that Baumann Appliance Repair is not very customer service oriented. The last time they came out I had made a mistake on calling them since no repair was needed. They came to my house but did not have to spend any time fixing anything. So, I thought for sure they would give me some kind of break on the charges. Maybe even just $ 20 off their normally expensive $ 90 a visit fee. They did not and charged me the full amount. It was the last time I called them. I now use another service that is $ 65 a visit and has fantastic customer service.

My experience at Baumann’s Appliance was terrific. Coming from Southern California there are several known local and regional upscale appliance centers that I have patronized and actually enjoyed doing business with. These are not your Best Buys or Frye’s, but small companies with personal service and follow up — basically a staff that cares. In Atlanta I was having trouble finding such a store. I was so glad I found Baumann’s on the Internet. When I called the store, Kurt Baumann took time to describe my options for washer/dryer and a refrigerator. He asked all the right questions and really helped me to make a solid buying decision. The price was right, and we set up delivery & installation at a time based upon our new home’s closing. Well, prior to occupying the new home we experienced mortgage hell, and our closing was delayed three weeks. Baumann said«no problem», as they stored our appliances and arranged for a convenient delivery date once we settled into our home. On delivery day, Anthony, the installer, and Kurt came to the house, and they took extraordinary care not to damage the walls or floors, and upon completion the fit and finish of the built in refrigerator was perfect. The washer and dryer were exactly as described, too. I don’t give many five star reviews, but based on customer service, price and overall experience Baumann’s Appliance Center stands out as a great, local appliance store.

i have always had top knotch service from this company from minor re[pairs to purchasing large appliances. This company was suggested to me by my neighbor 12 years ago … she agrees wonderful service company with very friendly employees and owners.

I am always looking for small independent companies to patronize, and after calling several different stores to find a replacement for my in-wall microwave/convection oven that had quit, the owner of this company was the first to call back, saying he could get me the model that GE had said was the right size. He seemed to really know what he was talking about. However, this GE Profile turned out to be a very cheap, poor quality trimmed down version of my broken one, purchased 12 years ago. I called and told him I’d like to exchange it for a different model, one I’d learned about that had a far better review. I also had learned that I did not really have to get a replacement that was the exact size as my old one — I had been misinformed by GE and him. He refused, saying the packaging had already been thrown away and he couldn’t return it or resell it. The installation was not complete due to not having the trim kit. He said he wouldn’t be able to sell it because it is not a popular model(Wonder why he told me that was what I needed to buy? Was it a return? I never saw the box. This is a shame. I would like to have a service and sales company that I could count on, and I would really like to patronize an independent business when it is time to replace my appliances. I have a 13-year-old dishwasher, for instance, and a 27-year-old refrigerator.
