This place is soooo slow! It can(and generally does) take 30 minutes for a couple of smoothies. If you order something for carry out, they may say 25 minutes minutes, but what they really mean is they’ll start working on it in 25 minutes because when you arrive they’ll just go, «oh, yeah, we’ll get that started». I actually don’t like the food either(proximity is the only reason I’ve been more than once) so I would give it one star, but since my friends think it tastes okay(though that’s it) I’ll give it two stars because I recognize there’s not a new solar system with me at the center. Still, don’t go!

Oh Bento Hut, where do I start? Don’t order delivery; they are NEVER on time. ‘Why do I keep doing this to myself’ I wonder as I sit here hungry, 40 mins past the estimated delivery window. Well, their sushi is good, and reasonably priced. I’ve had some of their non-sushi food, and it was not good(wings and pad thai and General Tso’s). So yeah, eat there and only order sushi, or if you feel like you might want sushi later, but are not hungry yet, then roll those dice!

I had a craving for Pad Thai one night. I didn’t want to go anywhere to get it. Lo and behold, UnilocalEats had a place that would deliver PadThai to me– when did THAT happen!!! They had awful delivery time reviews, but nobody really said anything horrible about the food, so I was willing to wait all night if I had to. About 20 minutes later, I get a call and knock at my door. Imagine my surprise! It’s Mr. BentoHut! My food is piping hot, and it looks delicious. One bite, well let’s have another. And another. Let’s add some Siracha. At bite five, I knew we had a problem. This was the most, bland, tasteless, watery noodled Pad Thai I’d ever had. The chicken didn’t even have taste. I just closed it up, and decided to take it for lunch the next day. As I’m heating this stuff up, a co-worker looks over, and asks, «what did you say that was again»?? You get the point. No more Pad Thai from Bento Hut. The shrimp tempura was very good– hence, the two stars!

Tapioca pearls were hard in my bubble tea, Fried Indonesian rice was not spicy, smelled fishy and a few bites ended in chewing a gritty sand texture in my mouth. The pot stickers were over cooked but ok and the soup didn’t make up for the meal. Needless to say I won’t be going back. I’m better off going to gekko sushi.

Placed an order at 7:15 via Grubhub, and was given an ETA of 8:20. Hadn’t seen or heard from anyone at 8:45, so I called and was told that my order«should be there any second.» At 9, I contacted Grubhub, who couldn’t get Bento Hut to answer the phone. Canceled the order via Grubhub at 9:10, and went out to get food elsewhere. After I finished eating at 9:45, the deliveryperson called me and said that they were on the way and should be there in 5 minutes, and couldn’t understand why I didn’t want the food. Worst delivery food experience I’ve ever had; won’t be ordering from them again.

Is there a no star options? I would have given them no stars but I guess I’ll give them one. After a long day of work on a Saturday away from home, working a trade show the first thing you think about is coming back to your hotel, relaxing, and enjoying an tasty easy meal. This first thing I though of was watch TV and order take out. I decided to order Bento Hut because they offered delivery. I placed the order around 7:03 pm with their online system. The online system said the order will be here within an hour. I then called the restaurant to make sure they call me to pick up the food at the front of the hotel and to confirm my order. I then proceeded to wait patiently for my food. 2 hours later I finally received a call that my food was here this is after I called them 3 times. Explanation is they were busy which I understand it’s Saturday. But that is weird the 2nd person which I called 1 hour into the wait said that the driver left 15 min ago(according to Google maps I could walk there in 12 min). After waiting for 2 hours for my food I was«oh my this must be some bomb a** amazing food» I had to wait a whole 120+ minutes for it. Well sadly it was sub par. My Pad Thai was mushy flavorless, the side of salmon roll was majority rice. Sushi roll ratio 1⁄16 seaweed 1⁄8 fish and 13⁄16 rice(yay fractions). This was just depressing…

Well to start the menu was dirty… um turn off. The waiter noticed about five minutes later and offered to change it. I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon soup, chicken satay, and coconut lemongrass wings. Like previous comments I listened to some lady complain for twenty minutes that she called in an order for a salmon salad and the waiters excuse was the chef arrived late. Ok so I’ve waited for thirty minutes and the waiter just came over and said the chef is not here… wtf ???

I ordered a chai bubble tea, pad Thai, and the beef miso ramen. The food was so good and I wish I knew about them sooner. I’ve been coming to Atlanta once every year and I plan to eat here whenever I come back. The delivery was about an hour but at least they told me ahead of time and the guy came on time and was very nice. Will be back again!

This is a really underrated restaurant! Came here with a group of my girlfriends, and we LOVED this cute place! It’s very clean and modern, overall very nice ambiance, and we received awesome service(our waiter was Isaiah, I think that was his name)! The bubble tea was okay, their smoothies rock! I really enjoyed their Indonesian fried rice, and their tuna roll was very fresh. It’s very reasonable priced too! I will DEFINITELY be frequenting this place!

Got the udon that was flavorless and my gf got the ramen that was spicy. We shared the LoL roll. Nothing much to talk about here, except for the slow service everyone talks about. I mean, maybe 4 – 5 other tables here already served. It’s in a great location so they get constant young customers. However, they shouldn’t use that as a measurement of success.

I love this place but the reason for the 3 stars has nothing to do with the food. There were some issues with opening on time and wait time on order. I’ve been here three times because the Indonesian Rice is too die for with just the right amount of spice.(you can moderate the spice upon request) You can add garlic butter to give it that extra flavor. I’ve also ordered the honey garlic wings which are phenomenal. The right amount of stickiness and flavor. They sale a variety of smoothies. I’ve had the Super Matcha. My first one was amazing, but during my second visit, it did not meet my expectations. During my last visit, another customer suggested I try the sushi. He informed me that he comes to Bento Hut quite often for the sushi. Bento Hut is a nice size venue. The décor is very relaxing and inviting. My mouth is watering thinking of my next visit.

I ordered a $ 50 delivery through GrubHub for this place and it took two hours from time of order until delivery. Food arrived cold and bad. Manager would not give any refund for the food and only offered up a a free bubble tea and spring roll on next order. Why would I place an order again for late and subpar food? Not impressed. Customer service sucked.

I truly LOVE bento hut but everytime I’ve been here there is maybe only three other tables at MOST and it takes about 40 minutes to get your food. They have the BEST bubble tea here but depends on who is making it. Overall great but my food always comes out cold and the service is really really bad… update: I ordered a bubble tea & they were out of the flavor so they gave me something completely different and didn’t tell me and hoped I wouldn’t notice. I brought it back and they gave me a different flavor and STILL did it wrong and STILL charged me for the bubble tea. probably won’t come back after today’s experience.

Bento Hut is not the place to go to if you want your food delivered on time or correctly. This being said restaurants tend to realize the error of their ways and try to compensate for their glaring mistakes but Bento Hut charged the full price of $ 19 and some change which I found surprising. Time Frame 1:05 — I place my order through Unilocal 1 — Phad Thai, 1 — California Roll, 1 — Coke (Easy order right?) I am told that my estimated delivery time is 45 min — 1 hr later 2:15 — Order is not delivered, call Bento Hut asking where their driver is. After some back and forth and another call around 2:27 after not having gotten a clear answer they quote me 15 minutes before their driver arrives. 2:54 — Their delivery driver arrives. He has not been instructed to give me any kind of a discount for recompense. Icing on the cake… I open the bag and find that my California Rolls are some kind of Fried Shrimp Rolls. To summarize, Bento Hut was 49 minutes after their highest quoted wait time of 1 hour. Total wait time 1 hr and 49 minutes. Bento Hut knowing that they are egregiously late will not try to make the customer feel better.(No I did not ask. A good restaurant manager would do this without question). Lastly they will not even get the most simple items in your order correct. Order at your own risk.

One of the best pan asian and sushi places in Atlanta. The atmosphere is great and you can enjoy watching any game here. I also liked the decorations, simple and classy in the same time The owner when I told him this is my first time here, he told me I will serve you some new that is not in the menu. It was a chicken bulgogi which was amazing. A little spicy with an amazing flavors combination. Finally the service was very fast and the server was very friendly. Definitely great experience that I will try it again and again

Let me start by saying that I want to rip this place a new asshole the same way they are apparently trying to ensure that their«food» rips rapidly through mine. I need to call the health department or an ambulance… I’m not sure which yet. Either way if I could turn back time I would never EVER have ordered food from this hell hole. My stomach is twisting and turning viciously and I don’t even want to think about how the poor dear in our group that ordered sushi is fairing. The pad see ew was awful, I only ate a few bites but it tasted sour… as in ROTTEN not sweet sour tangy hot etc. the chicken was cubes of some dark unknown mystery fowl… it claimed to come with Bok choy… I saw maybe two pieces the rest was barely cooked white onions and heaps of scallions. Onto the bbq wings(4.50 for 5 wings)… I pulled the meat apart from the bone and I should have thrown them away. They were a weird brown color… Not raw… Maybe what happens to old underdone wings??? I’m not sure. I am praying that I do not have some sort of parasite. Anyone who knows me knows I hate to throw away leftovers and will even take the chance of a tummy ache to rescue some that are on the verge of being spoiled. In this case I rushed to throw the leftovers away but then decided to keep them in case the doctor needs them for analysis. Sob. Don’t do it. I don’t care if it will guarantee me a few lbs. I’d rather cut out meat for a week to lose weight. That tells you how sick bento hut has made this carnivore.

The last few times I’ve ordered delivery for lunch I’ve been disappointed. I’ve ordered the nabeyaki udon and the Marsaman Chicken Curry on separate occasions. The temperature for these orders were luke warm and although I asked for a Very Spicy spicy level, they were… bland. I’m not sure what’s going on. The Marsaman Chicken Curry was a disappointment. There was a bit of sliced avocado thrown in with potatoes, but what I got was a bunch of sliced onions with the chicken. Seriously, there was more sliced onion than any other ingredient combined. P. S. Where were the cashew nuts? I was given chopsticks(yah) and a fork, but no spoon. No spoon when there is curry? I don’t know about you, but when I order delivery I look forward to having everything I need to eat the meal. There have been a few times when I wasn’t given any utensils when I ordered. Lastly, I tried the california roll as part of my combo. It was tasty and they packaged pickled ginger, soy sauce and wasabi. I’m not sure if it’s a totally different crew at night when I order delivery, but the last few times for lunch and dinner have been below par for what I used to get. Edit: 5⁄194:25PM — After I wrote this review I got a call(just a few minutes ago) from the restaurant. They had seen my Unilocal review and were asking questions to the level of service and how I was not pleased and what they could do to remedy it. I appreciate that. I order from Bento Hut at least once a week when I am in Atlanta for business(which is almost every week). I am hoping to give another review and revise my rating if the quality improves. It’s just sad that I have to write a lower rating review based on recent deliveries.

I ordered delivery through Unilocal the other night. It was very easy, and I got a confirmation email and a text. Delivery took close to an hour and a half and the delivery person was very friendly. The prices seem reasonable but the portions I received are small.(They may have been larger had I eaten in.) I ordered the Tso Chicken, which I found to be very salty. The spider roll seemed very small and wasn’t very tightly packed. It wasn’t flavorful at all and didn’t taste like any spider roll I’ve ever had before. The bronze sashimi was great. Everything tasted very fresh. The crab rangoons and shrimp dumplings were very good as well. The best thing I had was the bento black bubble tea. But it was way too sweet and the bubbles had no flavor of their own. Overall, this is a good place to order from. It is very easy and the wait wasn’t too terrible. The food was fine, nothing was bad-but nothing really stood out to me either. I’m sure I will be trying it again.

I am done with this restaurant. I refuse to give money to a restaurant with such dishonest business practices. This is an opinion I have formed after 3 consecutively poor experiences with this restaurant. For those who want a brief overview, here it is. Otherwise, I have included a detailed review of my three experiences. Summary: Not only is service mind numbingly slow, this restaurant has now begun charging higher prices than what is listed on their menus. This means that you will sit down at your table and order the $ 7 pad thai, but they will charge you $ 9 without notifying you. If you order the Nabeyaki Udon Soup, make sure it comes with the tempura shrimp the menu states it’s supposed to come with bc I’ve ordered it twice and it didn’t. I’ve only recently realized it was supposed to come with the shrimp, so I didn’t say anything previously. Detailed Version: First visit: Ordered Nabeyaki Udon soup and Spicy Beef Tofu Soup for pick up. Paid $ 8 and $ 8 respectively. All seemed ok until I realized tonight that the Nabeyaki Udon is supposed to come with shrimp tempura, and mine never did. Second visit: Ordered Nabeyaki Udon and Spicy Beef Tofu Soup for delivery for $ 8 each plus a $ 2 delivery fee. After an 1.5 hours of no delivery, I call back, and they tell me they lost the order. I replace the order and tack on an order of pad thai since at that point my bf and I were starving. No service recovery, nothing. I had to ASK to not pay the delivery fee after the ordeal; they didn’t offer it. They did tell me that they will expedite the delivery, yet it still took over an hour to get it delivered from the restaurant that is less than a mile away. Still no shrimp tempura in the Nabeyaki Udon. At the time, I was still unaware it was supposed to come with it. Although dissatisfied with the poor delivery service and lack of action afterwards, I still decided to give them another shot. Third visit: I ordered Spicy Beef Tofu Soup, Tofu Pad Thai, 2 avocado-cucumber rolls(hold the cucumber), and 1 salmon roll for pick up. The takeout menu prices stated $ 8 for the soup, $ 7 for the pad thai, and $ 2 each for the sushi rolls added to a meal to make it a combo. I arrived at the restaurant, and they wanted to charge $ 6 for a crunchy salmon roll and $ 3 each for the avocado rolls. I didn’t see the prices for the soup or Pad Thai so I didn’t address that. When questioned, they stated they increased prices for the Avocado Roll and that they didn’t have a Salmon Roll, so they made and charged for a Crunchy Salmon Roll. I told them I didn’t want the Crunchy Salmon Roll and then my boyfriend and I sat down and waited for them to fix the order. While we waited, we picked up a menu and realized that the menu still reflects the $ 2 roll prices, including lo and behold, a plain salmon roll. After 20 minutes of waiting, they finally arrived with my updated order. I asked if we can order the $ 2 rolls that are on their menu, and she told me again that they raised their prices but that their menus weren’t updated. I told her she can’t charge higher prices if they weren’t reflected on the menu, and she reluctantly agrees to honor the menu prices bc she doesn’t want to argue, never once accepting fault at charging inconsistent prices. I gave my bf my credit card and decided to wait in the car bc I was frustrated and didn’t want to make a scene. Fast forward to my bf returning with the food. I look at the receipt and find that they charged $ 27 for a meal that should have cost $ 21 plus tax. She didn’t even give my bf an itemized receipt bc she probably didn’t want to show him how much she charged for each item. From looking at the original itemized receipt with the inflated prices, I assume they charged the higher prices for both the Pad Thai(should have been $ 7 but now $ 9) and Spicy Beef Tofu Soup($ 8 but now $ 8.50) and then perhaps honored the $ 2 sushi prices. However, after further investigation, even if they honored the $ 2 prices for each sushi roll, there is still a $ 2 price discrepancy even after accounting for tax. At that point, I was livid but too tired to go back into the restaurant. I am home now, and as if the restaurant couldn’t do any worse, I open my food and find chicken in my «tofu» pad thai, and cucumber in my avocado-no-cucumber roll. I give up. I am done with this restaurant, and I am looking into reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
