Price changes on a weekly to monthly basis. Dried up dressing. Soupy black eyes peas. The better one is on Cascade Rd.

From the start the hospitality was on point. The portions are great and I left stuffed. A constant flow of patrons kept the doors turning. Lacked one star because the dressing(stuffing as he named it to me) was bland and the corn bread needed a lil help. Besides that, I’ll definitely come back for a return visit. I had the jersey turkey w/greens & yams.

I have been to This establishment various of times due to others wanting to go. I have had there fried catfish platter due to me not like vegetables saturated in water and I like steamed vegetables I can only get mac and cheese and candied yams or another starch. There food is pretty basic to me they have a wide variety if you are looking for a variety they are good for it, the food can sometimes be a hit or miss. I have to be on the mood for Big Daddy’s.

This place is truly amazing! I love the variety of dishes you can choose from when you have that soul food craving! I always order the salmon since it’s my fave. For the price you get a lot of food and I always have left overs. The people are extremely friendly and give service with a smile. If you haven’t given them a try, you should!

We wanted an authentic down South soul food restaurant. We got what we asked for. We were referred by this young lady we met at the MLK memorial park. The food was excellent.

Can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this location considering it’s the best. Well just look at the other reviews and they’ll tell you how the food is but the other thing that’s worth mentioning is the vastness of the hot bar. The selections just go on and on. The first time we went I got too excited and ordered before I had time check out the entire selection while my lunch date just wandered back and forth, up and down the line in awe.

Very welcoming restaurant. You’re treated like your apart of their family. It’s set up reminds me of Boston Market, and I love me some BM! They have some vegetarian items which I appreciate very much as I am a vegetarian, so, thank you. I was on a toss up between Zaxby’s and Big Daddy’s and since I’ve never been here, I ventured out and wanted to explore something different. After quite a few bites of this yummy food, I’m already stuffed lol. They feed you enough for the affordable prices that they establishment charges. 5

This place has the best soul food and so many selections. I wanted to try everything from the barbecue ribs to the fried pork-chops When I walked in and saw all the selections I knew I was in heaven. I literally wanted to try everything. Instead I selected the southern fried pork-chop, fired chicken, collard greens, candied yams, and Mac n cheese. Allll of it was the boommb! That was so good! I would definitely take a trip out of my way to get food from he restaurant. Definitely give this pace a try you won’t be disappointed.

This place delivers on what it promises! Great food, southern hospitality, simple surroundings. My husband and I stopped here on our way to Serenbe. I was so happy to trade other fussy restaurant choices for this wonderful food. My husband said the meatloaf was the best he ever had — and he’s tried a lot of meatloaves. The macaroni was amazing and the sweet tea was just perfectly slightly-too-sweet southern tea. I just wish they had a place like this up in Alpharetta!

So, for a cafeteria style soul food restaurant I was less than enthused to go in. But I did. And I was pleasantly surprised. They were extremely friendly and helpful. We had the rib tips, fried wings, bbq wings, collards, yams, creamed corn, Mac n cheese and a partridge in a pear tree. Our total was $ 32.61(no drink). I’d say the price was fair. As far as flavors go, I was very pleased. The rib tips and yams were especially delightful. My only complaint was the collards; I’m not a huge fan of how they’re overcooked at most soul food restaurants. They’re almost brown from having the life cooked out of them. While we enjoyed our meal(s), needless to say we had a ton of guilt from consuming such a wide array of foods that really aren’t good for your arteries. If I was in the area I’d definitely go back.

Best fried chicken I’ve had in a decade! Good collards and great mac and cheese. Friendly service. The buffet line was inexplicably slow, but well worth the wait. Three big wings, two big sides, cornbread and Ice tea for $ 11. Good deal!

There are so many options here, and you just want ALLOFTHEM. But life is short, and your cholesterol can only handle so much before you get put on medication. There are at least ten sides to pick, and if you’re like me… you want alllll of them! I got the sweet potato casserole(3.5÷5 for being way sweet), the mac and cheese(2⁄5), and collard greens(5⁄5) to go with my catfish. Catfish was fried to order and delicious. It took quite a long time, and they brought me a complimentary slice of cake since the wait was so long. The staff was so incredibly nice, and I love the older gentleman walking around. He even opened my Coke bottle and poured it into a cup of ice he brought by. You just wanna give him a big hug and sit on a porch together. Daily lunch specials are affordable at around $ 7.99 for a meat, two sides, and cornbread. Other things are a little out of price range, like oxtails and beef ribs for $ 14.99. I just think it’s a tad bit too expensive for items like that, so I can’t give it 5 stars. What a great experience though. Part of what makes this place so great is how simple it is. It’s clean, easy, and you get your food within minutes. A good place to gather and eat with friends. For the feel good factor, definitely worth a return.

Big Daddy’s Dish is A OK with me!!! Food for the SOUL. If you are a southerner, you could have easily thought you were at your grandmother’s getting ready for Sunday’s dinner. My girlfriend that use to live here was visiting from, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and spoke of this place from the time she stepped off the plane. I wanted to try the Madhouse Bar & Grill that just opened up of Old Nat. But it was closed so we ended up here, and I’m happy that we did. The food was set up in a cafeteria style. There were so many items to choose from that I was standing there for a while undecided… I was definitely in hog heaven. My son and I both settled on the pork ribs, they looked and smelled divine. My son order black eye peas, and Mac & cheese, I ordered Mac & cheese and collard greens. The ribs, were just okay in my opinion, but my son claimed them as the truth!!! I’ve come to realized that I like baby back ribs more than the spear ribs. My friend that was visiting took a different route and ordered smothered pork chops and dressing with gravy, which was delicious!!! She allow me a taste and I was so mad that I didn’t order the chops, seasoned to perfection. The prices were not bad at all, my tab was around $ 26 after we purchased beverages. My friend tab was around $ 11 but she ordered a dessert. Big Daddy’s is a decent size restaurant, with decent seating. The restaurant was very clean, each table suited with hot sauce, vinegar peppers, ketchup & mustard and salt & pepper. All the thing a southern food restaurant need. The best part about Big Daddy’s is Lil Pappa and the other servers(I asked one of the servers if he was big daddy, he said«no, they call me Lil Pappa» lol). We were welcomed with open arms at this establishment and left there feeling like family. My son spoke about how nice the servers and cashiers were to him, they gave him some very encouraging words about school and growing into a young man(it was very nice). Big Daddy’s is probably a 30 min drive from Marietta, but I will be taking that drive sometime soon… IT’S WORTHIT!

Visiting from out of town and wanted some authentic soul food. Unilocal led me to Big Daddy’s Soul Food and I was NOT disappointed!!! Fried Chicken was seasoned perfect and very juicy. Mac and Cheese, Collard greens and black eye peas were delicious! Finishing it with a moist corn bread muffin and fresh lemonade, just put this place over the top. I would come back here again and again! I can’t recommend it enough!

This place is delicious. The tilapia is seasoned with lemon pepper and made to order so it takes it while. There’s also 4 different kinds of gravies that you can choose from for your mashed potatoes. The corn is to die for! The red velvet cake was meh but the rest of the food was so delicious that I will give them a pass. If you are in College Park or anywhere near it make sure you visit Big Daddy’s. I would hands down come back!

Not the prettiest place but that real Southern soul food is AMAZING. I had the Oxtail which was big and tender and full of meat with the broccoli cheese casserole and collard greens. Oh how I miss this food. If we could only get this in Texas
