Bubbles are good, but actually tea is below-par. Go for Ten Ren’s or Kung Fu Tea instead.

I had the all nighter bubble coffee, the coffee flavor was amazing no powder taste, I think they use real coffee beans. Cool deco, love that back wall with the TV in it.

The bubble tea warmed my heart today on this cold January day. The owner was there and is a kind man. He helped me choose a delicious drink. I got the Jasmine milk bubble tea with tapioca and aloe. The atmosphere is cozy and appears to be a nice place to drink tea or coffee, sit with a friend, read a book, or socialize. I will be back.

I love the amount of options here and the sweet treat pairings. The area is sort of a coffee shop feel with area to sit and study or talk. Parking is available and usual open. Love you bubble tea!

I’ve never had bubble tea before coming here. I had heard about it, but wasn’t quite sure what it was about. But I’m so glad I made this discovery because now I’m a bubble tea ADDICT. My first bubble tea was the taro– and it’s still my all time favorite! My husband and i come here literally at least once a week to get our fix. I’m so happy this is so close to me and we both love the clean and cozy atmosphere and the quality of all the items. I’ve tried tons of flavors of their bubble tea by now and all are excellent. Recently they’ve added lots of cool Asian snacks, cookies, etc you can also buy. Not to mention Dancing Goats coffee! Excellent place all around.

Nice place to go hang out or study, enjoy some coffee or bubble tea, and eat some cake. Fresh velvet cake is tasty! Nice and clean, fresh décor, and friendly staff.

The owner was super nice. He offered 100% satisfaction guarantee if you don’t like your boba he will make you another one. Not many boba places do that. The ambiance is great for studying with lots of space. The owner is super helpful since we are out of town who told us places to go. Overall really happy we found this place! Btw almond milk tea taste sooooooo good

A warm surprise to those who love bubble tea — Bubble Café is newly opened. Bubble Café is the perfect place for a college hangout or to catch up with friends. Modern decoration, clean as can be, and even sells snacks and roasted coffee! We had the iced Thai tea and a warm milk tea bubble tea. There is no powder taste to any of the teas which is awesome since that can ruin a lot of bubble teas. Love this place and will be returning!

Conveniently located boba café in Midtown near GT! Lots of ample parking in the parking deck. I was excited to make my first visit here ever since I knew they were building this location. I thought it just opened, but apparently they’ve been open for 3 months! Cute and clean interior with soft music playing in the background — makes for a great study spot. The owner was nice and thanked us for visiting. The prices are reasonable, and they have different drink promotions going on — the one I remember was for 50% off coffee drinks in the morning during certain hours .They serve Dancing Goats coffee, so that’s always a plus! They also have a variety of desserts available for purchase as well as different European and Asian snack foods. This is one of the few boba locations that have Almond Milk Tea. I usually adjust the sweetness and ice in my milk tea, so I’m glad to see this place offer these options.

This place just opened up recently and it’s located right by our place, so we decided to give it a try(also a plus was the fact that it was having a buy one get one free for Georgia Tech students!). Their thai tea was fabulous; the service was amazing. They took the time to explain their technique and why they make their drinks the way they do. As an added bonus, they also gave me a large when I paid for a regular. I also got a pastry to go and it was phenomenal. I really enjoyed my experience; you gotta come try them out!

I’ve been in a few times to grab tea when visiting the nail salon a couple doors down. It’s super cute. The décor is tasteful and contemporary. The staff is polite and helpful, and they don’t mind answering my many questions, as the menu can be a bit daunting. I will be back to chill out, read, or get some work done on my laptop. I think I came on a super cold day as I found the back seating area to be a little drafty, still not a deterrent. I find it to be cozy, with a nice ambience where you can’t hear yourself think. The bathrooms are super cute with great lighting, lol(had to take a selfie). There is music playing but I don’t find it to be overwhelming like other cafes, Also they have a rewards program for frequent visits.

I knew I wanted the original milk tea(hot). The Hokkaido milk tea caught my bf’s attention, and when we asked for a flavor description, the best the cashier could say was that it tastes more«Hokkaido-like,» and it was«sort of like chocolate, but not.»… We could add one topping and adjust the sugar level. I got my original milk tea hot with coffee jelly and less sugar. My bf got the Hokkaido milk tea cold with honey boba and less sugar. Both drinks tasted too sweet at first. The original milk tea grew on both of us with a little time passing. The Hokkaido taste, however, did not grown on us and stayed so unpleasant that we couldn’t finish it… The inside décor is modern and clean, and not cozy feeling. There’s a Unilocal check-in offer to get a free milk tea with any drink purchase when showing your student ID. Edit: Upping this rating to 4 stars due to their wonderful customer service. They really care about what you think of their drinks, and they are more than happy to remake a new one for you if you don’t like something about it.

Disclaimer: I haven’t actually had the bubble tea. I stopped by Bubble Café on a Monday night to get some work done before heading to a dance class. Needed so liquid energy to work it out, so I parked at the free retail deck parking(super convenient!). There are two entrances: one on the street, the other conveniently connected to the deck. I decided to pass on the bubble tea and ordered a latte after I noticed they were brewing not only Batdorf and Bronson but Dancing Goats coffee! They accepted my American Express credit card and jammed out my nonfat latte pretty quickly. No latte art, but I haven’t come to expect it much anymore. Free wifi and plenty of outlets for my dying laptop so it was the perfect place to get some work done. I sipped my super hot latte while I used the somewhat slow wifi. I’m usually not sensitive to caffeine, but maybe I’m just getting weak sauce. Or MAYBE that was some super strong espresso. Regardless, I wasn’t able to fall asleep until 4 that morning. I would love to come back and give Bubble Café a shot on their bubble teas. I’m skeptical of bubble tea shops outside of the popular Asian Buford Highway or Pleasant Hill Road areas, but I’ll definitely stop by to try their tapioca if I’m ever back in the area(instead of an espresso beverage after 6:30pm).

first time here! my boyfriend & I came here on Halloween night, so of course, it wasn’t very busy. I had the jasmine matcha tea $ my boyfriend had the Thai tea. overall, the drinks were good, but the Thai tea was a little bland compared to other places. the workers were very nice & the place had a nice atmosphere. will be sure to visit again.

Stopped by to try this new place out since a friend and I were in the area. It’s small but trendy inside and the employees were very sweet and helpful. I got the original milk tea and friend got a honey jasmine green milk tea. Both were very delicious and the boba tasted good too. They’re having a special for students at the moment for discounts off drinks. They also give out punch cards where you get a free drink on the 7th visit. Overall this place is very nice, only reason I say 4 stars is this was only my first time and only tried one drink. But I would definitely recommend going here!

This place just opened so I thought I’d try it out. Compared to other bubble tea shops in the area, this one is much quieter and cozier(probs because it’s new). I like this because I usually only go to study. It’s VERY clean, cleanest place I have been to in this area. The music and ambiance in general is nice. I have had a lot of bubble tea. I really enjoyed the drinks here and think this place is very comparable to everywhere else. I like their coffee inspired options, haven’t seen this elsewhere. I also tried their taro bubble tea, and although it was a tad too thick in consistency, I like it wayyyyyy better than any other taro I’ve tried. It doesn’t have the«grainy» texture that other places have. The baristas were nice. The owner is very friendly and will start a conversation with you openly. Oh, and parking is free, in a deck, and easy/safe:).

Love the bubble tea served at this place. A really good selection of hot coffee, iced coffee, frappé, bubble milk tea, fruit tea, slush, and organic hot tea. Their coffee is also top-notch, batdorf & branson brand as well as dancing goats coffee. I kept it simple with the original milk tea with honey bubbles and it did not disappoint!

Bubble Café has potential. I think. It just opened, so I’m sure they’re trying to fix all the kinks. Thank God for parking decks. Bubble Café has retail parking in the Tendside Apartment’ deck! It’s also next to 5 Guys, 3 Dollar Café, Sarpino’s. Woo. If I lived in these apartments, my health would slowly fail. Space — They do have several tables around as well as a couch area. However, it’s not as big as Sweet Hut. The size is more of HoneyBubble. BUT they’ve got a cool patio to hang around. Service — I’ve had the nicest folks when coming here. I think the owner also works during most shifts. I keep seeing him train his staff. {which is very helpful} Food here is okay. I’ve had a few pastries. I think since they’re so new, the pastries need some work. Once they get the gist of what’s popular, I’m sure Bubble Café will do so much better and attract more pastry lovers. Way too many sweets & not a snack pastry. Thai tea here is not so great. The milk tastes a little weird. Maybe more powder? Unsure. But it tasted really light. Maybe it’s my taste bud… I’m more of a Green Tea Passion Fruit lover. They taste pretty good here. Oh and the tapioca balls are getting better. The first time I tried a cup, the tapioca was too chewy and not firm. Now the texture is much better.

Bubble Café is a new coffee and bubble tea shop that opened September 19, 2015 on the ground level of the Tenside apartment building in West Midtown(Westside). Tenside is also home to Zen on Ten(Thai and sushi) and chains like Sarpino’s Pizzeria, Smoothie King, Jersey Mike’s, Five Guys, and Three Dollar Café(which also recently opened). This complex, which is located near Georgia Tech and Atlantic Station, has free covered parking. The parking deck can be accessed via both 10th St and Northside Dr. I visited Bubble Café last Friday night(September 25) and the place was mostly empty. Word really hasn’t gotten out about this place yet. At the time of writing this review, their social media presence is almost non-existent. I did find their Instagram account( ) after they liked a couple of my photos. I met the owner, Noah, who said his business was in its soft launch phase. They’re still tweaking things. Bubble Café’s storefront sign was up as early as March/April. I first noticed it when I’d visited Sarpino’s a couple doors down. During my visit, drinks were being served, but the selection of food and sweets was minimal. The tiered self-serve counter had baskets and trays a la Asian bakery-cafes like Sweet Hut and White Windmill. However, the selection was limited to a handful of different cookies. I believe the cookies were all from Tree Story, the Korean bakery-café in the Super H Mart shopping plaza in Duluth. The bright and shiny display case next to the ordering counter was barren, save for the bottom shelf filled with over a half-dozen flavors of macarons: chocolate, raspberry, mango, green tea, strawberry, blueberry, and mocha. They were selling for $ 2.20 a pop or $ 16.50 per box. Noah told me his original intent was to open a coffee shop, but with a name like Bubble Café, I think a lot of people are going to think Asian bubble tea first. A couple things that differentiate Bubble Café from its closest intown competitors(Sweet Hut and Honey Bubble) is that in addition to serving bubble tea, Bubble Café serves a decent variety of hot and iced coffee drinks(e.g. Americano, latte, mocha, cappuccino, espresso, machiatto, frappé) and they sell Dancing Goats coffee from local roaster Batdorf & Bronson. Coffee drinks come in three sizes and range anywhere from a couple bucks to $ 5 each. Bubble milk teas sell for $ 3.49 for a regular size and $ 4.49 for a large. Flavors include original milk tea, green milk tea, Hokkaido black tea, caramel, taro, Thai tea, espresso, coconut, mocha, red bean, honey dew, almond, and lavender. Toppings include boba(tapioca balls), lychee jelly, herbal jelly, green apple jelly, aloe, coffee jelly, mango jelly, and red beans. One topping is included and additional toppings are 50 cents each. Like other bubble tea shops, you can customize the sweetness and ice levels of your beverage. Whole milk, 2% milk, Lactaid, and organic soy milk are available for any of the drinks. Great for those who are lactose intolerant. For about the same prices as the bubble teas, you can get over a dozen different flavors of fruit teas(and fruit tea slushes), made from black or green tea bases, as well as organic hot teas(reminiscent of Honey Bubble) such as Indian Assam black tea, Japanese genmaicha(roasted brown rice tea), Chinese Bai Mudan(white peony tea), and chamomile. I tried four drinks: Original Milk Tea, Matcha Green Milk Tea, Thai Tea, and Green Tea Frappé. Overall, everything was A-OK. The boba, arguably the most important part, was good — sweet, soft, and appetizingly chewy. I liked the Thai tea the most of the drinks I tried. The original milk tea had a pleasant roasted taste to it. The matcha green milk tea had nice flavor, but its consistency was too powdery and chalky. The green tea frappé was fine. Service was excellent. The long interior is simple, modern, and clean with a bit of an industrial look(concrete floors, rust-colored wall décor). Inside, there’s seating capacity for about 36 customers, mostly at glossy white table-and-chair sets for four. There are two sets of couches and large, comfy cushioned chairs with coffee tables if you or your party prefer more lounge-like seating. There’s free Wi-Fi so this place is not a bad option to bring your laptop/tablet to study/work. The Wi-Fi password is givemebubble. In the end, Bubble Café is not a juggernaut or chain like Sweet Hut, Quickly, Paris Baguette, etc. Instead, it appears to be a smaller, more quiet«mom and pop» operation that is a mix between an Asian bakery-café and a traditional coffeehouse. As a nearby resident, I’m happy this place opened. It’s got potential with the adjacent Georgia Tech and Westside crowd. I look forward to returning and trying more drinks and hopefully some sweets and baked goods in the future.
