I’ve been training here for about 4 months. Started as a beginner and it has been an awesome experience! I am addicted. Sam Joseph is a great instructor that always makes the experience fun and meets everyone’s needs at their level. Buckhead Jiu-​Jitsu is a very supportive environment. The people who train there are very welcoming!

I’ve been training at Buckhead Jiu Jitsu for just over a year. In that time I’ve met great friends and learned enough to medal in a competition. It’s an amazing environment full of people who want to share their knowledge and have fun. Whether you’re in town looking for a good open-​mat or looking for a gym to train at full time check out Buckhead Jiu Jitsu.

Looking for a great workout while learning how to defend yourself? Buckhead Jiu Jitsu is the place to be! I have always wanted to learn some form of martial art and I have found what I have learned very useful… not that I have had to actually use it in real life yet :). I was a little nervous at first because the class is mostly guys but they are all very respectful. When we roll, they use just enough strength to challenge me but not overpower me. It all stems from Sam, the owner. He has established such a positive atmosphere. I leave every class sore, but in a good way :). I am pretty sure I am working out muscles I never knew I had. Wish I could give 10 stars!

Sam is an incredible instructor and does his best to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable, no matter what your age, level of fitness, or training. I have been going for a month now and have already gained confidence with self-​defense and improved my overall health from the fitness workouts. I highly recommend Buckhead Jiu Jitsu — it’s a great community!

The instructor here is probably one of the best in Atlanta, I was only here for about a month due to work and schedule conflicts but I would give it 5 stars because of the instructor alone, great guy, great instructor. Maybe when my schedule opens up I can return. It is defiantly worth checking out!

Buckhead Jiu-Jitsu’s FITin45 class is awesome! Sam is so encouraging, and I always leave feeling like I had a great work… out. I enjoyed it so much after trying it out, I quickly canceled my membership at another establishment and joined FITin45 as a member. I actually look forward to class! It is worth the 30 minute drive for me from Woodstock!
