Two things to note: 1) This place is currently CLOSED. As in, closed closed. 2) Why the heck is their«Café at Pharr» sign still prominently shown from Roswell Rd when the place is closed? 3) Why won’t you update your website with this fact??? There is a sign on the front door saying that another location is 2 miles away. Perhaps just taking down the huge«Café at Pharr» sign would be better.

From the street, the restaurant looks like a cute café, but I could not have been more disappointed. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and the chicken salad was spoiled. The staff did not seem to care when I told them. I was disgusted and I won’t be back.

I’ve had a different experience at Café Pharr — multiple locations. I’m thrilled this one near my home is open. It is unlike any other restaurant around. I love the salads. I recommend the salad plate. The sandwich is too dry. I have enjoyed them for lunch for years. Now I have more opportunity. All of their salads are delicious. The greens are always fresh and crispy. I enjoy the taste of the dressing — a sweet, mustard seed flavor. All their chicken salads are good, as well as their egg salad. But curry chicken salad us my favorite. I agree their sandwiches made with the same delicious salads are dry. I always get the salad plates, served on bed of greens. For dinner, I recommend the kabob. Tender. Juicy. Full of flavor. And the tempura-fried asparagus is great. I say, give it a try.

Quick, fresh lunch place. (I’ve heard they serve dinner, but never tried it) It’s a short menu, but they do everything on that menu expertly and quickly. RECOMMEND: Curry Chicken Salad and the Curry Chicken Plate Every salad comes with 2 little slices of their signature yogurty cream rolls(which I will stop and just buy a few as a snack, they are sooooo delicious) Overall, great food, great service, homey atmosphere, and yogurty cream rolls. Go. =)

My daughter and I love this place! We drive from East Cobb just to have lunch there! Love the Curry Chicken salad plate! The dressing is just amazing! We also like the egg and potato salad, so different, but so yummy! They also have the most delectable oatmeal raisin walnut cookies! Staff is always so friendly too. Parking seems like it could be a problem, but has never been the many times we have been there. I only wished it was closer to us!!!

Not impressed at all… I was there with two other people and none of us were thrilled with our food. I had the Curry Chicken salad which was described in the menu as «chunks of chicken…» There were no chunks. It was ground to an even consistency that was probably scooped up with an ice cream scoop and pressed between two slices of tasty bread I might add. The regular chicken salad looked much better. I love food on the healthy side quite often so if you do I suggest Zoe’s Kitchen just up the road.

Tried this for a quick carry out dinner the other night after an exhausting workout. The order was ready in about 10 minutes. The location was pretty easy to find. Parking was somewhat limited. I tried the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. The croissant was pretty good. Tasted like it was made earlier that day, but still wasn’t bad. It was a little on the crunchy side, but the middle was still soft. The chicken salad was also on the pretty good side. It wasn’t overpowering in taste which was great. Lots of nice chicken chunks, but the chicken salad was somewhat meager portion-wise in the croissant. Still was A-OK in my opinion. It came with an interesting little dessert. It was some kind of sweet cream inside a croissant and tasted good. Overall the sandwich is a do-again, but I felt it was a little bit pricey for how much I got.

So. .. I have been on quite the lunching-at-Café-at-Pharr kick in the past week-ish. But! I had not visited the Roswell Rd location until today, when one of my most fabulous friends ever(in so many ways!), fellow(though sorta«silent») Unilocaler, The Broke Socialite S., picked it for our long overdue lunch meet up. I got the roast beef sammy again — add Swiss, leave off the mustard and mayo — and she had the curry chicken salad. Both of us were delighted — as much as we could be given all the talking-rather-than-eating we pretty much did!!! But this location is notable — and review-worthy– because it is so different than the Pharr Rd post. A cute little«house»(note: the ONLY negative I have to say about it is that the parking lot pretty much sucks for being so tiny and hard to navigate), with lots more seating and both indoor and outdoor«real» tables! Same great, attentive service, a kind of «deli» counter concept at the register, and a cute little seating area to the left of the front door right when you walk in. Eating in, you definitely feel like you’re at a restaurant, not just a cas/to-go/lunchy place, which I really like. Aesthetically, this location is way more fun! I am now Totally Sold on C@P. Yay for fun lunch spots!!!

«This is a cute little place off the beaten path. If you werent looking for it, you may miss it. Take a look at the picture, it doesnt look like much… go inside, you will see scattered tables with colorful tablecloths. The perfect word to describe the décor — cute. It is cute. The food is delicious. I typically get the variations of chicken salad when I come here. I love chicken salad. My favorites are Walnut Chicken Salad or Curry Chicken Salad. They come served with green leaf lettuce(none of this iceburg lettuce shenanigans), tomatoes, and carrots — simple but colorful. The chicken salad is placed strategically on the salad as an oasis of yumminess in a sea of lettuce. They provide a couple slivers of bread, a handful of grapes and then the most delicious pastry… Its light, filling, and very yum. Parking is hard to find, but it’s def. worth it!»

We went here for the first time tonight. The dinner menu was about eight ‘Asianesque’ entrees, which threw us off a bit considering this place’s rep as a sandwich spot. I’m not opposed to Asian food – I like it quite a bit – but it’s not what I was looking for tonight. Anyway, we decided to get the much hyped chicken salad sandwiches. The basic ingredients were good(a croissant, golden raisins, walnuts), but the salad part was really dry. My wife actually asked for some mayo so she could try and mix a little more in. Besides the aforementioned dinner menu, the other big disconnect for me was the price we paid for our meal. For two sandwiches, two soft drinks and two bags of chips, the tab was $ 19 before a 20% tip. Frankly, If I’m going to pay that much for sandwiches, we’re going to Muss & Turner’s instead. P. S. For what it’s worth, I will say the staff working tonight was quite friendly.
