Drive thru and parking lot always packed so I decided to give them a try. Decent fast-​food seafood. I really commend the cashier. She was 8 months pregnant, it was sweltering in there and I can tell it was getting to her, yet she maintained a positive and professional demeanor. I had the 15 piece butterfly shrimp dinner which comes with two sides and two hush puppies. It’s about 8 or 9 dollars I believe. I used my free meal birthday coupon #YAY. The hush puppies were really good, shrimp also but they were a little greasy. I didn’t eat my fries until I got all the way home but I’m not sure if that’s why they didn’t possess the crunch I love or if they weren’t fresh. I had a corn on the cob which was super juicy and delicious. It’s considered a «deluxe» side (loaded baked potato, Mac, corn, and some other stuff .39−1) so it was an extra .39 cents plus tax. Clean environment. They have a variety of seafood and chicken tender combos and add ons, desserts also which included cheesecake funnel sticks chocolate cake and their monthly specials like apple pie bites. Fountain drinks, peach and berry smoothies for 1.99 … It’s decent for what it’s worth. They always have coupons Oh and the D’s dipping sauce is good it’s like a Cajun mayo

Worst experience with UNPROFESSONAL staff, average food and a parking lot space that would rip tires apart because there were two spots with dislodged concrete car stops. The historic West End neighborhood wants restaurants of high quality and this Captain D’s needs new management again.

I am surprised by the bad reviews. Of all the crappy places to eat in West End, this is kind of a gem. Sure, it’s a chain, but I’ve had many good, consistent meals here. The service is very slow, but I’ve never been a Captain D’s that wasn’t. None of the locally-​owned fish places around here are fast, either. The people who work here are always friendly and the place is clean.
I don’t like fish, so I always get their 4-​piece chicken, which comes with 2 hush puppies and 2 sides. It is a lot of food, but good if you’re really hungry! I love their hush puppies, cole slaw, and the chicken is great. My fiancé likes their fish and shrimp meal.

Do not eat here. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. I waited 30 minutes for a shrimp and fish plate and a four piece fish plate. I contacted the area manager and he showed very little resolve to my plight. Everyone, from the area manager to the cashier, was apologetic. I would recommend going to Baltimore seafood on Peter St. Instead. I am personally boycotting this restaurant for life. They will never see my hard earned money again.
