I called and setup a «cleaning» appointment approximately 2 weeks in advance. David was the representative that I was working with from the beginning. I had my insurance send over an Explanation of Benefits and David even called me back to verify that everything was covered 100%. When I spoke with David, I made him aware that I had just gotten braces put on 3 months ago and that I was overdue for a cleaning by at least 2 months or so – thinking that it would require more time for the appointment.
I was 6 minutes late to my appointment because I couldn’t figure out which tower their office was in. I looked back at our emails and the email signature didn’t have the tower along with the suite number and there are 4 towers. No biggie I’m thinking after concierge offered to send me in the right direction. I get in the office only to find out that my insurance is being re-​verified. I waited patiently in the waiting room until I was called to come back.
I get to the back and x-​rays were taken minus the ones I had emailed in on the same day that I scheduled the appointment (with verification from David of receiving them). The dental hygienist (Barb Burket) does a few exams and then tells me she wasn’t aware that I had braces and she was completely unaware that I expressed initially that I was overdue for a cleaning. So she proceeds to tell me that I need to be scheduled to come back for a «cleaning». I’m like, what was the point of expressing that I needed a «cleaning» appointment along with the fact that I had braces and was overdue for a cleaning??? Apparently my expressions were not notated and I was put in for a cleaning appt that someone without braces or an overdue cleaning would get.
To top it off, they charged me for the x-​ray that I had already sent in (they did take it off after I brought it to their attention). Then they charged me for an exam evaluation and when I asked for the summary/​interpretation, they claimed that there were no notes even though I listening to what the hygienist was telling the dental assistant to put in the computer during my exam. So they finally printed it off after telling me that the next dentist will do it again – LOL. Sounds like they’re good at double charging!!! Another client walks in while I’m waiting on the printout and the first thing that was asked was «do you need a parking pass for the garage?» I must look like I don’t drive because I had to ask for it since it wasn’t offered upon arrival not exit.
Was NOT a good experience considering I had to take off work to get a cleaning that never happened. No one even asked me why it was that I was uncomfortable with scheduling the next appointment!

They rock. I’ve been going to Chip Hill for over 5 years. The staff are great. Trisha is amazing. She’s extremely helpful and always keeps you informed regarding your insurance. It’s easy to get in & out of the building. And, they are very helpful with scheduling appointments. I highly recommend them.

I have been going to Dr. Hill and his team for over 10 years and LOVE them! Besides my general cleanings every 6 months with the best hygienist, Barb, I have also had lots of other work done including several crowns, and cavity replacements (from silver to white) and have been very pleased… Trisha at the front desk is a pleasure to work with on insurance and on making and changing appointments (she understands that changes do happen). I would highly recommend them! I don’t even work in midtown anymore but I still make the drive from Duluth… because they are worth it! Also, they pay for your parking so in this case its the BIG things and the little things that make the experience great.

«WOW» my first I time at Dr Hill’s office today. I had been going to the same practice in Dallas, Tx for years. My first experience was with David, who set me up with an appointment and emailed me all the forms. He made it all real easy and they followed up with appointment reminders through emails. Today I walked in and was greeted by Trisha who was so warm and welcoming. She was even more excited when she saw my paper work was already entered into the computer. (Thank you David). Then I went off with Dannah and Devon who took X Rays and cleaned my teeth. They look awesome (thanks Devon). Finally I met Dr Hill. He said the right words — everything looks good, see ya in 6 months. It was the perfect visit. Everyone has a good time and make you feel so comfortable. You forget you are at the dentist. Dr Hill, you and your staff are rock stars. Look forward to seeing you all in 6 months.

I haven’t been to a dentist since I moved to Atlanta. Went with this dentist because of the great reviews and their office is conveniently located in Midtown. The staff is extremely friendly and professional.

Can’t speak highly enough of these folks. Trisha at the front desk is a star, and took the time to explain their process and put me at ease (I used to loathe going to the dentist after a bad experience at another office).
Melissa was my hygienist — absolutely amazing and easy to speak with. Really enjoyed talking with her :)
Dr. Hill is great as well. Really looking forward to my next check up!

Wonderful and welcoming, highly competent and don’t try to sell you anything you don’t need. A model practice. Highly recommend!

These guys are fantastic. The whole staff is always friendly. I recommend them to everyone. They most certainly have my future business.

The staff is amazing, everyone is very friendly and thorough. Great atmosphere, it doesn’t have that smelly clinical look and feel. But ultimately it’s the friendly people that make you feel at ease that makes the difference.

Great experience. Everything you want in your new dentist and more. The staff was wonderful, friendly, professional and efficient. Would recommend this great team. Very pleased with my choice. Would feel this way even if I had a cavity… really.

Chip Hill and his staff are incredible. When you are not looking forward to visiting the dentist, you find a family of professionals that make you feel at home.

Sometimes you hate your dentist and other times you just love them. Dr. Chip L Hill, DDS is awesome, I love the front desk staff and my hygienist. I always look forward to coming to their office, I had a few issues with not flossing and my hygienist schooled me, and gave me a solid understandable verbal beating that made me floss daily!!! ANd I thank you for that.
Overall vibe of this dental office is friendly and welcoming. My cleaning visits almost feels like a therapy session and thats how relaxing this dental office is.

Has done a very good job on my dental issues. Unfortunately, I feel like the office is in a very difficult location. The parking garage and the time it takes to get through the maze of two buildings in Midtown is a bit weird. Nice people in the office, but a small office. Dr. Hill is really good.

Just like every other sane person, I’m terrified of the dentist. I just switched dental insurance companies and made an appointment for my initial x-​rays and cleaning. The staff is awesome! Everyone was incredibly friendly, there’s never been a wait (albeit I’ve only been there twice), and it was the most enjoyable teeth cleaning I’ve ever had. Horrible experiences in the past have left my gums bleeding and me hating the hygienist with a passion unrivaled, but Barb was very gentle. She’s the best!

So I’ve only been in for my initial consultation so far, so I can’t tell if they’re going to pull out the chainsaw when I go back but I figured they deserved five stars before they ruin my life and I hate them forever (just kidding!).
It’s been a few years since I went to the dentist. Yeah, that’s how all these stories start, right? I knew my mouth was a mess, which was exactly the reason why I avoided going. Cue the endless loop of destructive reasoning. I finally gave in and knew that I had to go if I wanted to be able to chew solid food much longer. I dreaded it for weeks in advance.
Approximately 8 seconds into my first conversation ever with this office, Trisha had me mostly at ease (which is saying a lot, I’m pretty high-​strung when I’m nervous). I made my appointment and by the next morning had resumed dreading it. By the time I got to the office about a week later, I was prepared for them to bring out the sledgehammer and just knock all my teeth out of my head, because my imagination had worked itself up to.
I got to the office the morning of my appointment and Trisha did her thing once again and had me mostly calmed down before I went into the chair with the hygienist Barb.
Long story short, I hate the dentist. That will never change. BUT, if I ever have to go to the dentist, it’s going to be this one. Like I said, I’ve only been in for a consult so far, so I can’t speak to how amazing they are at everything else, but I know that them being able to somehow fool me into being ok with going to the dentist is nothing short of magic. And once they have me all doped up on the conscious sedation for my next appointment when they start the work I’m sure we’ll all be having a good time.

Although I no longer live in Atlanta, Dr. Hill has been and probably always will be the absolute BEST dentist I’ve ever had. Before I went to see Dr. Hill, I hadn’t been to a dentist in 7 years!!! and I dreaded it.
I knew I was going to need a lot of work done and I dreaded the scolding and the inevitable pain that reminded me of exactly why I hadn’t been to a dentist in the last 7 years.
But Dr. Hill and his staff proved me wrong. They were wonderful. And yes, I needed a crap load of work done but it was legit and I actually fell asleep during a couple of fillings and a root canal.
Since then, I moved to New York. Now I had the unfortunate experience of going from the world’s BEST dentist to what seemed like the world’s worst dentist. She drill into a tooth that wasn’t numb yet (and I told her it wasn’t) but she decided to ‘test’ it by putting her whole weight and shoulder into pushing the drill into my tooth. Then, when I jumped out of my skin, tears streaming down my face, she called me a ‘crawler’! I was now being pushed into doing a bunch of procedures that just didn’t sound right and not knowing what to do, I called Dr. Hill.
Despite not having seen him in almost two years and knowing that I probably wouldn’t be going back to see him again since I lived out of state, he still took the time to answer every one of my questions thoroughly and plainly enough for me to understand. He equipped me with the knowledge and lexicon I needed to go to any dentist feeling prepared and would not feel bullied or pressured into getting work done that wasn’t needed.
I sure miss Dr. Hill but he has most definitely set the standard for dentists in my book.

After three years without going to a dentist (yes, three years) I finally bit the bullet and found one that had good ratings online ( Unilocal, etc.) and was within a few blocks of my office. From the moment I made the appointment over the phone, I knew I was going to enjoy this as much as one can enjoy a trip to the dentist. Receptionist Trisha and hygienist Melissa were just warm and fun, and made it seem like a really fun place to work. Dr. Hill was also a hoot, though since I was in for mostly cleaning I saw little of him. Because of my neglect, I had to endure an uncomfortable deep cleaning procedure, but the staff just made it bearable. Melissa explained everything she was doing, which I really appreciated. Dentists have been sticking pointy crap in my mouth for 33 years and no one has ever stopped to explain to me what everything did. She didn’t just give me the obligatory «you need to floss blah blah» lecture, but actually showed me how to floss properly. I didn’t remotely feel like I was just being rushed out as quickly as possible, which is so rare at a medical appointment these days. It was a level of care I never thought I’d find. I can honestly say that I look forward to going to the dentist again, how weird is that?

This is my dentist and he rocks. Friendly, funny, gentle, and absolutely never makes me feel uncomfortable.
The whole staff rocks. When their hands aren’t in my mouth — we’re always yapping about something.
They have good pain killers and aren’t afraid to use them. I swear I always had to beg my previous Dr. to give me meds — I have very sensitive teeth. My old Dentist used to be like, «Oh don’t be a baby.» But when I say, is this going to hurt me? They tell me — based on my pain tolerance — and if I ask for pain killers I get them.
Barb, my hygienist, is top notch. She doesn’t yell at me, she doesn’t say you need to do this. Her mindset is simple, «What’s happening to cause this and what can I do to help you?» I’m 29 years old and she basically told me that I’ve been flossing my teeth wrong all these years because no one ever showed me how to floss right. Kudos to her for showing me and caring enough to do so.
Honestly, there’s probably a whole bunch more I could say about them (all good) so if you want to know anything just ask.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hill and team for the past few years.
They are by far the best dentist I have ever been to. The entire staff is extraordinarily nice and are always a pleasure to see (pretty impressive for a dentist).
Dr. Hill does an excellent job of explaining what is going on with our teeth and reviewing your oral care plan. He also uses the latest technologies.
I don’t know if they specifically cater to the gay crowd or not, but i believe they and their patient base is predominantly gay — so if you aren’t comfortable with that then this isn’t the place for you. (I have never been put in any awkward situations from staff or patients)
