Really surprised here. The food tastes way better than it looks. Like enormously better. Give it a shot people. Took me a month of driving by before trying it out, but I’m glad I did.

The wife: I tried this restaurant for the first time a couple of days ago and was satisfied with my meal, it was over priced but still decent. I went back a second time and tried the chicken fried rice again over priced and now my body is paying for it literally. The chicken had a stale taste to it, at first I thought it was a different sauce or something but the other pieces of chicken tasted fine. I gave up on the meal and left majority of it in the restaurant. The one star is for the ambiance of the restaurant, it looks really nice from the inside but clearly there is some funky chicken business going on in the back.

I was very impressed by the atmosphere and quality of food! It far surpassed my expectations of «strip mall Chinese food». The service was fantastic, there are lots of options, and the chicken actually looks like chicken. I tried vanilla bubble tea for the first time and it was great! It tasted more like sweet tea than black tea, but very good. Definitely recommend this place!

So so good. Husband and I were looking for a quick but healthy option at a good price. I had the Farmer Salad with grilled chicken. HUGE portion. Very fresh. Great customer service as well. Super clean. Highly recommend!

I am in Buckhead for a business trip and came here for lunch today. Joseph was exceptionally helpful when I asked what the most popular dishes were. I tried the general’s chicken and the toasted almond bubble tea. The general’s chicken were moist and fried to perfection. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side than my liking, but the chicken was not drenched in the sauce, it was just drizzled so that made my experience better. The dish came with fried rice and broccolis. The broccolis were mediocre, but the fried rice was perfectly made with just the right amount of seasoning and eggs. Their bubble tea tasted like it was made with sweet tea as opposed to the traditional black tea, but I think it was a cool twist that only Georgia can pull off. It didn’t taste bad, it was just different from what I expected/am used to. The bubbles were also made well, firm and chewy. Overall, Food 4⁄5 Staff Friendliness 5⁄5 Cleanliness 5⁄5 Location 5⁄5

I came during the busy lunch hour so service was a little slow, but I won’t hold that against them. The food came out fairly fast and was beyond tasty. I had the grilled chicken platter which comes with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and corn, served with soy sauce and your choice of a second sauce. I went with the cilantro-whatever-it’s-called. It was very tasty! After I received my meal I realized it was basically a burrito bowl… And I love Mexican so that was totally fine by me! I’m sure I’ll be back to try more, especially the bubble tea!

We ordered delivery from here by chance 3 weeks ago when looking for Chinese. We were so impressed we placed our 4th order tonight for a small party. It’s a must try.

Ok, I come here once a week or every 2 weeks for lunch. Trying to get a little bit healthier + not as expensive + generous portions. Chow Bing is in the same lot as Kroger/area as Starbucks and in the same strip as Marcos Pizza. There are so many parking spots. Even during Lunch/Dinner rush I’ve had no problem finding a spot. I think it’s because folks are constantly coming/leaving… spots become available. Space — I find it super cool they have a bar area inside. Neat place to watch a game if you want. Well — it’s a very clean bar area. They have multiple 4 man tables and a long window table. I’ve only seen the restaurant half full. I personally love eating at the window table to people watch, haha. Service — You order at the front and they bring you your food. The pace they bring the food is fine. I think that’s why I’ve never really seen the restaurant in full house mode. The folks here make sure to be quick on their feet with food/cleaning up area. Food — I love their bubble tea. It’s a bit pricier though. They use some sort of syrup. I usually hate those types of drinks, but Chow Bing manages to pull it off! Their tapioca balls are on point. Firm but chewy. Dynamite Fries — The sauce they use has crack in it. It’s SO good with the Fries. Also, this is a huge app. I’d share this if you have 3 – 4 people. The Fries are normal. The extra stuff they add is solid. My fav platter: General’s chicken and rice with corn, grilled onions, and scallions with Teriyaki Sauce. Everything is fresh. You can take half of this home. I do — and I normally eat everything. Not sure how healthy this place is — but it’s good enough for me to eat for lunch and exercise later in the day and my heart feels good and not congested.

Not bad but it’s not on my list of places to come back to. Got the Kung Pow Shrimp and I ate it all but it needed more meat. Too many veggies. Rice was good though.

*revised prior review below 2÷26÷16 — I spoke with the owner this morning. I was very pleased to hear from him regarding a previous issue. He explained the situation and was very courteous and professional. If you want healthier Chinese food, Chow Bing uses fresh organic ingredients and you can really taste the difference. I have eaten here several times. It has a awesome décor and also has a full bar.

i am a lover of chinese food. The décor was fabulous and the people were friendly. The food is excellent. i sampled the beef brisket fried rice as well as the Shrimp fried rice. The only thing that wasnt seasoned enough is the fried chicken wings. they were good just needed a little salt and pepper. Angela williams Alpharetta, GA

I love, love, love Chow Bing. I tried them on a whim one day while leaving Kroger and needing to pick up something quick. I have been here quite a few times and each time they seem to need more employees working to accommodate orders. Nonetheless, the food is always on point and tasty and the employees working do a really good job in trying to get out quality food and provide good service. My favorite dishes are Dynamite Wings and Dynamite Fries. We have tried the Basil Chicken on several occasions and my husband really loves it. I have ordered to-go and I have eaten at the establishment. The interior has been designed nicely. They have a pretty steady flow of patrons during all my visits. They are located in a pretty busy shopping center. Chow Bing has become my go-to spot when I just don’t feel like cooking and when I’m feigning for my Dynamite Wings and Dynamite Fries.

Healthy and fresh Chinese food! I appreciate that their ingredients are carefully sourced and their meats are antibiotic free and humanely raised. No GMO’s and many ingredients are organic. Despite the quality ingredients, the prices remain low. The staff is always nice and service is quick. Have been here many times and is always very good. Once, they messed up our order and made up for it with a free cupcake for dessert. I always get the fried tofu salad platter and am never disappointed.

Just took a take out. I had ordered dumplings and lo mien noodles. Both were extremely average. Not at all close to authentic chinese. Very less meat and veggies with the noddles.

I can’t speak for the food, but their bubble tea is A+. Keep in mind that I haven’t had bubble tea in Atlanta, which means I actually haven’t had bubble tea in… over 8 years?! How is that possible? I got the coconut bubble tea, made with soy milk since real milk sometimes upsets my stomach. There was a lot of ice in my drink, which was a little disappointing since it was more than $ 4 for what is maybe the equivalent of a medium sized fountain drink in most establishments. But the tea was a great strength, it wasn’t too sweet, I appreciate the offer of soy as well as dairy, and the boba were spectacular. So, all in all, a solid four stars. Now off to research must-have bubble tea establishments to add to my list!

This place of food does not add MSG, vegetables are derived from organic vegetables, drinks are also natural milk quality. Very good. I will come again!

This is crazy but I want to give this place over 5 stars review… This is the best Chinese fast food I’ve ever had… The fried chicken was literally fried perfectly… So light and crispy on the outside and warm and tender on the inside… The veggies were custom made exactly to my liking, and the noodles were also cooked al dente, with a bit of a chew to it, just the way I like it. The cherry on top of it all was that there was a healthy version of bubble tea, which actually tasted decent. It was pretty much a perfect meal.

I ordered from Chow-Bing because I was craving Chinese food at around 9pm. I ordered the Pan Fried Dumplings(6), a spring roll, and the General’s Chicken with broccoli and fried rice. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the meal. The spring roll was decent and the pan fried dumplings were tasty as well. Unfortunately the chicken was cold and over breaded and the rice was overcooked and overly salty. I knew that Chow-Bing did not have a «standard» take on Chinese cuisine, but I wasn’t satisfied with my entire meal.

Decently affordable Chinese-esque food with a «healthy» twist, prepared and served by a dope staff in a trendy environment complete with small ordering counter and large bar setup offering bonkers drink deals in the middle of the day — $ 32-for-1 well whiskey shots on your lunch break I’m not saying any more because I think I’ll be spending more time here and I don’t need y’all blowing up the spot.

Bubble tea was mediocre at best. I ordered the general Tso’s chicken and substituted if for tofu. Sauce was ok but overall the meal was only ok. For a place that claims to put an emphasis on healthy foods, I was surprised to see an up charge for brown rice.

the food here can be healthy. i usually come here and grab the Lean and mean which consists of your typical Body Building selection: Chicken and broccoli. However it is pair with this delicious cilantro sauce which i know isnt in my macros because it is so good but… i gotta live a little. When i am cutting(dieting) i would usually hit up this place for a clean«not at home again» meal. My only complaint is that it takes forever for the food to come out.

We are always looking for tasty, easy meals that are a little healthier than a typical burger. Based on other reviews, we decided to check out Chow Bing for an evening meal a couple of weekends ago. The place was virtually empty when we were there around 7 p.m., but I imagine it’s probably packed at lunchtime. They have a walk-up counter where you order, then you sit and they bring your meal to you. There’s also a long bar in the rear where you can presumably have a cocktail with your dinner. The menu reminds me a little of Gusto, where you choose your combination of starch, protein, and sauce and they cook it to order. I went with the General Chicken and brown rice, and thought it was tasty. Not too heavy on the sauce… ok, actually pretty light on the sauce — I would have eaten more if it was available BUT eating just enough sauce made me feel like the meal was super healthy compared with traditional Chinese American fare. The batter on the chicken was also very light, which I thought was great because you could really taste the chicken instead of just breading. The veggies stir fried in were also crisp and fresh tasting. Overall, the meal felt like and satisfying. Chow Bing isn’t exactly«cheap eats,» but it was on the low end of moderate, and since you don’t have a server to tip, still ends up being an economical option. My friend has already been back a few times and tried a few other items, all of which have been equally good.

Good tasting, average Chinese fusion food. Nothing special but good. This is one of those, «pick your protein, pick you veggies» kind of place. The dining room is nice and large. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Service was a bit slow for a quiet Sunday afternoon. If you want really good Chinese food I suggest anyplace on Buford highway. But if you are in the area, go for it.

Pretty space, very airy and a nice retreat but a bit harsh in the llighting department. the food was good. but not so great I would eat there as a regular basis. I found it lacked a depth of flavor that I tend to like in Asian foods. to me the different dishes needed more flavor punch — beyond tossing in hot oil etc. While the food was fresh, it some retooling for my tastes. Several local pals rave about the place — so this may be a regional difference for my tastes. Its a «try for yourself» recommendation.

My experience here for my first visit was great. The staff at the front were very friendly & helpful which is great since I have to avoid gluten. It’s hard for me to find places to eat out. They had a gluten free meal special posted & a menu that offered a separate gluten free section which made it easy to order. The staff asked the chef when I had specific questions about ingredients and the chef came out to answer any questions. The meal was awesome. It was the orange chicken with rice. It was a huge serving. The staff were great, asking how the meal was for me & the chef came out and asked how it was & said he made it personally himself for me to ensure my meal was gluten free. The environment is open & clean. I was happy with my first experience here & I’ll be returning.

I am so happy that on a whim, my husband and I decided to check out Chow Bing. I had seen that they served Springer Mountain Farms chicken(no antibiotics or hormones used) and as someone who does not eat commodity meat, I wanted to give them a try. I created my own combo of grilled chicken, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and brown rice. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly as were the veggies. The portion for the price was HUGE! I had to take a lot of it home. With it came the most delicious sauce I think I’ve ever tasted — a spicy cilantro sauce. It is sugar-free, gluten-free and vegan. I could drink it, seriously it’s that good. The majority of the choices are healthy with a 4.5oz portion of meat, ample veggies and a choice of rice(white, fried or brown). They even have a section for«weight lifters» or protein centric eaters with larger portions of meat and veggies with the choice to have them steamed. As we were finishing up our meal, the owner came over to check if everything was alright. I happened to be wearing my White Oak Pastures hoodie and he asked me about it. I told him that I strive to eat only ethically raised meat and that I had gone to White Oak Pastures to see how their animals were raised and knew Will Harris through several channels. He immediately lit up and said that he had tried to source his meat from White Oak Pastures, but it was a bit too expensive for him so he had to settle for Springer Mountain(which is definitely steps above factory farmed chicken, but they still aren’t raised on pasture). We had a brief discussion about how the majority of consumers don’t realize or appreciate the difference in quality and taste. He said he’s had complaints about the chicken and it’s because people are used to eating the shit from Tyson and Perdue. It was refreshing to see a business owner who really cares about the quality of food they are serving. As an added bonus, Chow Bing delivers! Not many delivery meals can be considered healthy and delicious, but this place offers that as a choice. I wish them all the luck and will definitely be a return customer.

A new Chinese restaurant in Buckhead. Warning, don’t come here if you are expecting traditional Chinese food because you will be sorely disappointed. This could be a healthy option if you are craving a little Panda Express but don’t want all the grease. Their boba tea is pretty good for a healthier option, definitely less milky and sweet compared to say Sweethut Initially I was disappointed with the service. I ordered Kung pao tofu and instead, they gave me the organic tofu salad plate. When I pointed out the mistake, they«corrected it» and brought out some stir-fried tofu on a suspiciously familiar looking bed of salad. When I bit into the tofu, I realized there was cheese on it… no matter how Americanized you make the food, cheese and Kung pao doesn’t mix! Instead of cooking a new dish, they just stir-fried the salad. When the owner found out, he brought out a fresh plate of the Kung pao tofu which was pretty good. He also gave our table free boba tea so I am giving an extra star for service rescue.

The team decided on this place for lunch, since we figured we should try something new for our coworker’s birthday. The restaurant definitely looked clean, as it should be since it had just opened a month ago. We came in around 11:45 am and there was barely a line, so we took our time placing our orders at the cash register. There are many options, all«Bing Platters» with different meats, sauces, and carbs. After watching all my coworkers order, I chose to «Bing it Yourself», by building my own meal. I ordered grilled chicken with brown rice, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and a fried egg. The brown rice and fried egg cost additional. The server suggested the spicy cilantro, because honestly, the wasabi sour cream didn’t sound appetizing, and the hoisin BBQ sauce sounded like it came from a bottle of Hoisin sauce… I was overall content with my meal, although it was very bland. I could have recreated that entire meal, and unfortunately… that’s saying a lot because I am a terrible cook… It was very healthy, though, although the portion is a bit large for healthy eating. The spicy cilantro was ok, the random sesame/soy sauce that was provided was a much better accompaniment to the chicken and rice. I had been wanting to try this restaurant forever after hearing of the full bar and their boozy bubble tea. But now I’m not too sure I want this restaurant taking up a space in my lunch options at work. Also, I had heard the restaurant failed their health inspection with a 59, but they fixed it within a few days. Glad to hear they got their act together and turned that around fast. I can’t decide between a 2 and a 3… I may have just ordered the wrong thing. Let’s hope next time it isn’t so «healthy» tasting.
