I am unable to find any information regarding the official registration staus of this charity, either on the IRS or State of Georgia websites. I would be hesitant to donate anything to them until such registration can be verified!

We are so lucky to have our Unilocal Empress available for information about local businesses. Seriously. Kathleen M. is so awesome when it comes to knowing exactly where to send you regardless of the request. Recently I started cleaning out my closet in preparation of moving and I realized that I have a lot of suits and dress clothes that I don’t wear anymore. I keep hanging onto them because they were pretty expensive and still in good condition. Regardless, I don’t wear them and they’re taking up unnecessary space. I wanted to give them to someone who could use them and bringing them to a charity thrift shop didn’t seem like the best way to help someone who needs a suit. There are several organizations in town that assist women with getting work clothes so they have proper business attire to wear for job interviews and then later at work. Finding similar services for men was a little tricky, so I posted a request for suggestions on Twitter. Within minutes Kathleen responded and I was able to get in touch with the folks here. I sent a request through their website and I received an email within a day or so. Eventually I was put in touch with James, the Executive Director. He was amazingly accommodating and met me at Caribou Coffee near my house the day before I left for Florida. He made the process easy and I felt really good about potentially helping some of their clients look their best and professionally dressed to help them feel more confident in an interview.
