CVS Pharmacy

Didn’t like the service. I went to have a passport picture taken and the girl that took the picture just took two. She wasn’t even worry about it. I didn’t want to complain because they were just two employed in there and they already had a line. Either way doesn’t explain what she was so careless.

Dont bother getting a moneygram from here. You can send no problem but when it comes to recieving they never have enough money. How can you not have $ 200 as busy of a store it is?

It says here that this store is open at 7:00am.
I standing in front of the store at7:10 and it is NOT open! The sign on the store says 8:00 — 12:00. Boo for you.

Summary: It’s not really a comprehensive drugstore but rather a glorified liquor store. And there’s nothing wrong with that but I just wish it were more truthful in its advertising.
While I appreciate CVS’ commitment to midtown Atlanta, as a local resident I find myself continually frustrated by the perpetually empty inventory of non-​alcoholic products and the bored employees who just don’t care about my repeated requests to stock their shelves.
Want a 6-​pack of Budweiser and a few bags of chips to take home at midnight after visiting the bars? Then this CVS is perfect for you. Want some milk, bread and ice cream at 6pm after work to feed your family? Then avoid this CVS and its false claims to be a one-​stop-​shop for your home needs. Publix is open till 11pm and is just a few blocks walk away.
So, 2 stars for being in midtown and having beer.

Went in with two prescriptions to have filled being out of town shopper. The very cute young lady at the pharmacy drop off was extremely helpful and updating my information in their computer system and letting me know when the prescription would be ready. The prescription was ready before 15 minutes and I was in and out of CVS faster than I have ever been. Overall wonderful experience.

This is an extremely busy CVS. Being right across from the hospital and all. Watch out for the rent-​a-​cop. He will go all Paul Blart on you if he catches you pulling in or out of the lot in the wrong direction. I’ve forsaken CVS though, so I won’t have to deal with him and his false sense of authori-​tie.

Went in to buy 22 gift cards at 50 $ each. Manager very rude and unfriendly. Wouldn’t do them. This is typical customer service at CVS on Peachtree so I shouldn’t be surprised.
Went to Wells Fargo where it was no problem plus each gift card was 2 $ less in fees. Buy your gift cards at the bank and save on fees!

This is an unlikely rave review. Who the hell gets excited about drug stores THESE days?
I mean, let’s keep it real: they’re mostly wretched chain stores with no personality and zero connection to the local community.
Except *this CVS was a trailblazer in Midtown. They were here WAY before the ‘hood got hot, when it was still way sketchy. The retailer was smart to open right in-​town. It’s hugely convenient for us city-​dwelling foot-​users who’d rather walk places. (I often take the dog with me.)
Today was an especially good day. I went in and got greeted at the door. I also got my regular great service at the Pharmacy, and then — when I went to ask if they had any more of my fave cereal in back (which was on sale) — he apologized for not having more and gave me what’s called a «rain check.» in other words, I can go back and get my gosh darn cereal at the sale price (half what it usually costs) when they get stock back in.
Service is so under-​valued in this corporate-​driven world we live in. Today was an exception.

Yeah, this is Midtown, so we expect crazy. But the team running this place handles it with ease and grace. They’re ALWAYS friendly to a fault, and recognize me when I come in and greet me warmly. The pharmacy is great – well organized, good advice.
And it needs to be said: this is one of the CLEANEST CVS in the metro area, despite the bums and crackheads outside (and sometimes in)!
They do a great job of helping you save, by swiping a loyalty card or showing you when you’ve earned a coupon, too!

If you don’t mind the random crackheads, bums, pimps and prostitutes who frequent here, I must admit that this is one of the better CVS locations on town.
The staff is so cool and unphased by the crazy that walks into that store. I once saw a woman fall out in the aisle by the pharmacy, scream like she was going into labor, then it up and walked about 5 minutes later like nothing ever happened. The staff just brushed it off and said, «she does that once a week, it’s aiight»
They also have a fantastic clearance and sale aisle. I don’t know why more cvs don’t discount like this store does, but others need to take note.
Please drop by either for a prescription, cold pop, or good people watching. You’ll be entertained regardless.

I don’t often make my way inside the perimeter, and certainly not inside the Beltline, but this gem makes the trip worth while. CVs midtown is a true diamond in the rough. They have everything you should need from adult diapers to greeting cards. it seems like there’s no limit on discounts using your sextra bucks account on your daily essentials. Travel shampoo, family planning products, and feminine hygiene are all on the discount list! Sadly they don’t have alcohol but you can ask at the front and they always have great recommendations for local hot spots. Da clubs are hopping and they know what’s up. Overall they get two thumbs up from this gal!

Three stars because there are a couple of the staff there that are very friendly, and it’s convenient and within walking distance… BUT…there are also a few of the staff that are just outright discourteous and ignorant. Three times I’ve been ripped off by this CVS, first time was only a dollar or so — they charged me for Iams pet food vs Purina; 2^nd time — same thing — I called them on it… girl working the register’s response, over and over again was «oh, I don’t know». You don’t know? That’s your answer to this dilemma? «I don’t know.» I didn’t have time to argue w/​her b/​c I had to meet my petsitter.
But this morning, takes the cake — I was literally robbed by an employee. I purchased some items on my way to the train station, got to work and checked my receipt b/​c some of the items were for work and I wanted to get reimbursed for them. Noticed an item for $ 8.99. I hadn’t purchased anything for that price, or that fit the description — in fact, nothing like that was in the bag. Went back to the store after work, and come to find out that it is a hair product for African-​American hair. I don’t have that kind of hair. The manager refunded my money, but I really don’t think he understood what happened — that b**ch was ripping me off! General manager will hear about this. Read your receipts people!

Walking distance from home, text message alerts when your prescriptions are ready, and late night hours (including pharmacy operating hours till 10pm), what more could a girl need for her neighborhood drugstore? Sure, the parking deck and the stairs to the store are a little sketchy, but they have free parking and lots of it, and where else is that the norm in Midtown?
I haven’t found any killer markdowns on makeup like some CVS stores have, but it’s still worth signing up for the extra care card and their beauty club, as they’ll email you all sorts of special offers, including the occasional 20% off your whole purchase coupon. While I’m not going to be on Extreme Couponers anytime soon, it’s still nice to save a couple bucks now and then, particularly when the whole thing can be handled digitally/​electronically.
One thing to note is that all their debit card readers have signs that say «no cash back,» so don’t come here planning to get some cash for another purchase.

Has what you need when you need it. The people watching is pretty good too!

This is one of the least icky CVS stores in Atlanta. My only complaint is the parking deck and the stairwell going to and from it. It’s bright enough to feel safe, but it needs to be repainted. It’s kind of dingy.
I’m usually on foot for most of my visits (as I’m sure is the case with most of their customers). They’re open until Midnight, so it’s convenient without being the source of unnecessary traffic to the neighborhood. Even though I’m more of a Hallmark fan, their selection of cards from American Greetings is larger than most.
Oh, it’s always quick to check out. Again, compared to other CVS stores that’s a huge improvement.

Great location! I’ve been here about 23 433 984 times to get passport photos done… (applying for a program to go abroad sure takes a lot of pictures!). Photo service is always quick, and they crop and print out your picture immediately after taking it. I found out today that I have a problem: I can’t seem to be able to position my head straight, looking directly at the camera. But the person there was really nice about it, and at one point even grabbed my head to manually reposition it… well, the result was a passport photo that wasn’t all THAT mug shot looking. Success!

I also come here to fill my prescriptions. There is nothing special about the pharmacists, but I would advise to avoid coming here around 5 or 6pm… they are always packed with people, and it has taken me upwards of 45 minutes to get my prescription filled.

I feel like I’m at this CVS all the time in that it’s very near my house. We visit for the pharmacy and little things we’ve run out of and don’t want to go to the grocery store for. The store is always clean and the staff is very courteous. I think the prices are good and the «cvs card» coupons we earn are even better.
The pharmacy team has always been spectacular, and exceptionally helpful when problems arise.

When you live in a city, you need the basics within walking distance. The CVS at the corner of Peachtree and 6^th does a very good job of filling my drugstore needs, and they’ve got a great full-​service pharmacy in the back. My favorite pharmacy employee is Vada. She’s helpful and friendly, remembers repeat customers, and manages to stay calm even when the lines grow long and patience is short.
If you’re driving, CVS has ample covered parking in a lot under the store. (The entrance is on 6^th Street.) They often have in-​store specials, and they’re open until midnight seven days a week.
