This is an «ok» apartment run by very unintelligent people. First, it’s just faux nice. They’re so obsessed with conveying class that they put embarrassing carpeting in the elevators that say«Style follows you home.» In fact, the walls are extremely thin, the cabinetry looks and feels like Ikea, and the amenities are just not very nice. For instance, the grills are always disgusting, and the pool is only a couple of feet deep. Also, my view is of a giant Phipps parking lot. And the blinds do nothing. And cell-coverage in this concrete eyesore is virtually non-existent. While they suggested once they would«consider» installing a solution to this cell service issue, it appears that since this might not be a concern of prospective guests(only actual residents), they declined to address the issue. More importantly, despite this mirage of class, the property management team is really just ill-suited to manage anything. In a maintenance request where I suggested that I thought my toilet was not working properly, they chose to inform me that this was just the nature of the ultra-modern ultra-low flow toilets they installed. In fact, there was a crack in the base of the toilet which ultimately resulted in poop water spilling out onto my floor. They have also instituted very bad parking policies because they seemingly enjoy messing with their residents. While the previous management team actually attempted to make new policies known(albeit, only via Email) with prominent subjects like, «Parking Changes,» the new manager, Jim Stabler, opted evidently to impose new policies in a «Community Update,» next to very crucial information like, «One of our property managers is leaving! Wish her well!» and«We are having a dinner!» and«We have Yoga!» This new policy made it so that, despite the ample parking in the building, guests need to park their cars, walk inside to the concierge, get a pass, and walk back to their car to put the pass in their car –no matter where they park. Indeed, despite announcing this policy so prominently in «Community Updates,» they chose to leave«Visitor Parking» signs up misleading unsuspecting guests into thinking that this distinction might actually be meaningful. Apparently«Visitor Parking» signs are left up because they prefer people with guest passes to park in those spots first. Indeed, although they are capable of physically posting signs about the unbelievable amenity of mini-muffins on Fridays, they couldn’t actually take the time to post signs explaining that«Visitor Parking» actually doesn’t mean that visitors can park there without a pass. I suppose a sign that says, «Pseudo-Visitor Parking» might detract from the faux classy aesthetic though. And yet, Jim Stabler evidently thinks that not only are these signs appropriate, there’s no issue in casually booting Residents’ guests and forcing them to wait 90 minutes. It’s strange to live in a building where the management views current tenants as adversaries.
