My friends and I decided to go here for our holiday gathering for 2015. They were fans of this restaurant and it’s closing in about 8 days. This was basically the last hoorah here. This was my first time visiting and looks to be my last also simply b/c of the news of the closing. First of all, the place is small but very nice! We had reservations and had our own section of couches with more than enough room to move around and mingle with each other. That alone was a win right off the bat. Our server was really good and attentive. She had about 10 people to deal with and did a fabulous job. The menu is sushi based and very interesting. I ordered the«Rock & roll» sushi roll. I was really impressed. It was an eel based roll that was flash fried with avocado inside and a few other things. It worked well and I’d definitely get it again. Everyone at the table seemed really impressed with their food and drinks. My drink was called the Czar Georgia Tea. It was really good and made to perfection. They had a very friendly hand with the vodka but not too friendly to take away the taste of the drink. The only thing i wasn’t impressed with was my dessert. I ordered the Czar Twinkie. It was basically a twinkie with strawberry drizzle and whip cream. Meh… i basically just paid $ 6 for a twinkie… yeah…no! Wouldn’t get it again myself. With all that being said, I’m very sad that this place is closing in a few days. I had a really good first visit here and would definitely come back if I had time. I hope they open up other locations after the leave here.

Hands down the worst sushi I’ve ever eaten in my life. We didn’t try the vodka, maybe that would have been a better option. We ordered the Red Square, Yumi Yumi, and Rainbow rolls. First of all, there was a crazy amount of sauce on the sushi, which completely masked the taste of the fish. Second, the sushi pieces were huge, all rice. So, is you like sauce and rice this is your place. Also, this place is like a club; we should have known better.

First time visit here and we had a blast! Made reservations and was seated immediately with no issues. Had a bottle of bubbly along with several rolls, edamame and a few vodka flights. The sushi chef came over and personally thanked us for celebrating the bachelors party with them. He was super friendly and funny. Afterwards we checked out burn social club next door, they had popular songs for everyone to enjoy. What a night!

I came here for the first time a few nights ago. I’ve never heard of it but a friend of mine really likes it and we decided to check it out. We walked in and the hostess greeted us and asked if we had a reservation. We let her know we did not. And she offered us a seat at the bar or outside so we decided to sit outside. The List of menu options was cool. He decided to get the mango roll and I ordered another roll with mixed fish. It was really good! I kind of wish I went with the mango instead. Don’t get me wrong my roll was really tasty also. each piece was really big and a little tough to pick up with chopsticks but I’m a trooper and I went to town. We had a good time. The waitress kind of took a long time to come back out and serve us sometimes. But overall the rolls were really good and I’m sure I’ll be back at some point. I will say it’s a little pricey. Almost $ 20 per roll.

The sushi was great. At first I was stunned to see $ 17.50 for sushi rolls, but the server guaranteed me that it was worth it. I was celebrating my bday so I said«why not?!» Glad I did! Big rolls! The czar vodka shots were pretty decent with so many flavors to try. I will be coming here again and again!

Tonight was my first time trying Czar and I really did enjoy it. Upon entering there was no one to greet you and let you know if it was open seating or not so we just decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and gave great suggestions. I had the seven seven o drink which was amazing! We had the volcano and Iso sushi which were absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to come back next time were in town.

If we are speaking of ambiance alone I give this place 5 stars. The lights are dim and there is a very sexy energy in the air. Experiencing a bar filled with ice is cool. They sell nothing but vodka based drinks, mostly cheaper lower end vodkas but you can request something of a higher standard that is not part of the ingredients listed on the menu. Kettle One is the only vodka that doesn’t cause me to have a terrible headache the following day, so that is what I requested in my drink. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my drinks but I thought the drinks were a little pricey $ 12 to $ 15 a drink but the ambiance made me feel like I should spend a lot of money so I did. There is a tiny club or lounge if you walk through the door on the side as well which was empty but a nice addition. This spot is awesome for a date night.

What a disappointment this was! My expectations were pretty high for this bar. I arrived with a friend and was immediately taken a back by the size of this place! It’s tiny! Glad I did not come with a group as I am sure it would have presented a problem! the ice bar is really not that special. It is really just sheet of ice on top of a wooden bar. Regarding the drinks– I was thinking they would e served in ice glasses– not the case! they have a few shooters that are in cased in an ice cube, but you drink the shooters from a regular glass! The drink that I had was very good, although I do not recall the name of it. I will try this place again, however, I think its best suited for a date night!

First time here and had a great experience. Made reservations online for our group for 10pm. Got a call around 5 from Maggie to confirm the reservation. The event we were at went longer than expected so I called and got Maggie again who pushed out reservation back with no fuss. When we arrived we were greeted and even shown the spot next door, I forgot the name. Orders were taken promptly and everything was great. Took me a minute to realize it was also Maggie who was serving us! Will definitely be back and we will definitely ask for Maggie.

The sushi was awesome; drinks were good. However service was mediocre. Tab was a bit pricey for 2 drinks and 2 orders of sushi.

So I’m visiting town Boston M. A and my fiancé wanted sushi for her birthday and she is a big time drinker. So I went on Unilocal and looked for sushi and Czar Bar popped up. I looked at the pictures and it didn’t look spectacular. Man was I wrong the food there was awesome except for the dish I got the mixed fish I thought it was going to be raw fish from the way it was described on the menu but I was disappointed however the dish was still amazing. The super crunch roll was delicious and we’ll balance. The dancing shrimp was another good room and lastly the tuna tar tar was phenominal. The chef even walks around greets the customers and bust tables now that’s a good chef. Overall the place was good my fiancé really enjoyed the food and liquor oh about the liquor be ready to turn up.

My wife and I went to the advance screening for Ted 2 at perimeter and tried to find some food after the movie(FYI Ted 2 is awesome). All the sudden I remembered I had the BOGO deal on Facebook so we decided to try it out while we still had our Ted t-shirt and flipflop on. I was worried they might kick us out but I guess cuz it’s Tuesday and they only had one table other than us at that time but anyway, they let us in. Great atmosphere!!! Great place for dating!!! Servers are great as well I didn’t get chance to try their drink since my wife is pregnant. I will save it for my next try. As for our meal… I ordered the dancing eel roll and my wife ordered the mango roll. Dancing eel is pretty simple, crab stick, avocado, cucumber inside and eel on top. With two kind of sauce on top, well-decorated. Mango roll is shrimp tempura and crab stick inside and fried the whole sushi roll and topped with mango sauce. Both of them are ok, not the best I had but great presentation. However there are few things caught my attention, 1. The sushi chef is not here the whole time. 2. They brought out the sushi from outside. Which makes me wonder where did sushi come from. 3. It’s kinda empty for a restaurant/bar, That’s probably why they are doing the BOGO sushi on Facebook. Lastly, the sushi is very expensive. I wouldn’t come try without the BOGO deal!!!

The restaurant is small, but the ambiance is nice. For our first visit, our party was so large that we had to be seated outside of the restaurant, which I was crazy about at first. But after awhile, it didn’t matter(the vodka had probably taken over by then…) I like the variety of sushi rolls – they have a good number of unique offerings. The«Ice Bar» part of the name is literal… the bar is made of ice. It has dripped on me a few times when I sat at the bar, but I didn’t care because it was so cool(pun intended). They have a huge variety of vodkas from all over the world #internationalbaby, as well as flights(4 vodka shots, served in an actual ice cube!) Chef Saito is very friendly, and always comes out to greet patrons. This is one of my fave sushi spots in the city.

This place is small, expensive but so good. We sat at the bar(ice bar) and the bartender took great care of us. I had some GA peach speciality cocktail which was amazing. We had two rolls: Volcano and Lady on the Beach. Both were recommended by the bartender and i can see why. Amazing. Fresh. Tasty. Scrumptious. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Atlanta. Their vodka wall was fun just to look at in awe. Call ahead for a seat — there’s not a lot of room.

I have to say I am very surprised by the reviews. I had a real issue with the quality of the food at this place and I cannot believe that some of the reviewers dare to compare this restaurant to Nobu. What was good: 1) The service was pretty good. Waitress was very friendly although not that knowledgeable about the menu(didn’t seem she eats much of the food here). 2) The location is true to the theme. The czar paintings are kind of cool. The bar looks pretty interesting. 3) The valet parking guy was very good. He made sure my car got a prime spot. What I didn’t like: 1) The quality of the fish is not to my taste. The sushi tasted to me like it was excessively chilled — the fish itself just seemed a bit odd in terms of both temperature and texture. Maybe they just had an off shipment or something but I didn’t enjoy it. 2) The roll selection emphasizes fried food. Almost every roll on this menu has some fried component. Many of the rolls are fried, and many of the others contain tempura or tempura flakes. 3) The place is loud and the clientele seems a little trashy by my standards.

It’s so rare that I go to a place that I long for. A place that I taste after the meal has ended. A place that relaxes me, that is full of good memories and happy u Tummies, happy times. Czar Ice bar is my newly discovered happy place. I didn’t go for the fanciful ice bar merriment, but for company and good food. A dear friend told us this is THE best sushi he’s ever had. Better than Nobu? «YES» Better than Koi NYC– YES!!! At around $ 20 per roll and ceviche, it is worth it. The sauces, presentation and the whole experience is delightful. The 770 drink and honey berry were our go to cocktails. The caramel apple vodka straight is to die for. They have several infusions, dark liquors and aged scotch, but back to this sushi Chef Saito cares about his clients. He comes out and visits, and remembers faces. He’s a sweet sweet man. His concoctions are genius. The banana roll, mango roll, oh my god roll, yum yum, volcáno, ceviche, red square, pineapple, we’re all to die for. With every bite we all let out an omfg groan and shook our heads in amazement of how good it was… and no. We were not drunk. We’re sitting here wishing they opened earlier than 5, but it’s ok, it’s worth the wait. The one downside was an overzealous security guard that was threatening to charge friends of ours with criminal trespassing bc one guy didn’t have an ID and wasn’t going to drink just wanted to come celebrate an engagement. We’re all clearly over 30 and 40!!! Makes no sense. Gladly the waitress Maggie was so sweet and organized for us to get comped for the unnecessary hassle. So uncalled for, but will the manager sorted it out. That blip aside this place is aammaaazziing. The waitresses, Maggie especially, are knowledgeable sweet and friendly. It’s a great place, ambience and atmosphere. Go give it a whirl.

Don’t put down your cell phone or your temporary paper license! This is actually, literally, truly, really a bar with a sheet of ICE on top. It’s REALLY amusing, too, and I bet even more so when you’ve had multiple $ 12 cocktails. When the bartender puts down the glass it slides along the bar a bit. WOoooOOOoOoo! The drink I tried was the Smash Hit. It was not one of the four recommended by the bartender, but it sounded good. Firefly sweet tea vodka, peach liqueur, fresh mint and fresh lemon juice. It was tasty but heavy on the lemon juice. My ladyfriend had the 7even 7even 0h: Russian Standard Vodka, Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, St Germaine Elderflower Liqueur and fresh grapefruit juice. This was one of the drinks the bartender recommended, and although I knew mine wasn’t, I felt a little left out when he made a huge deal about it, and even tested it to make sure it tasted right. Hmph. Here’s my rating explanation: The fact that it’s a Buckhead bar 3 — which is why I’ve never wandered in here before. Liklihood of my return 3.5 — I am not the Buckhead-bar-type but for a fancy night out, a special girly evening, or something fun for out-of-towners, I’d go back. Concept 4 — ONLYVODKA! Vodka for miles! I love Vodka! Service 4 — Friendly, Good use of space 4.5 — Sushi bar, vodka bar(that’s the ice bar) a few tables and some pretty cool couches. Vodka selection 5 — They boast«over 300+ exotic vodka brands from around the world.» Everything from Tito’s and Pinnacle to Stoli and Ketel One to Van Gogh’s and Imperia and Skinny Girl and New Amsterdam and Krakus and Cupcake and Bama(?!?) and even one flavored like a frosted doughnut. forget it, here’s the list from their website: Somehow, without doing any math, I’ve declared this equals an overall rating of 4(rounded up from a high 3.something.) but WAIT. then they have a little list of infused vodkas with things including jalapeño, starfruit, pineapple, pepperoncini, cinnamon roll, omg I don’t even remember, there were so many random ones. Anyway, even though we were at the bar, Saito, the Master [Sushi] Chef, kept coming over to us to chat and ask about our tattoos and see how we were doing. We didn’t try the sushi, but it looked really good. Enjoy this place!

I love this bar. I had the best service from Sam and Quincy at the Ice Bar:) The Ice Bar is a truely unique feature. The sushi is excellent. The Nigiri rice was perfectly packed, and fell apart in my mouth as I savored the taste. It was also a treat to have the chef come around and make sure everyone loved their dish. Then the vodka selection is a sight to behold. This place has a beautiful décor, friendly atmosphere, great service and amazing sushi.
