My NGO used Dennis Dean Catering for a dinner for 48 people.
We negotiated back over the menu and the price. Fair enough. DDC is in business to make money.
I was dubious. In my experience the best restaurant can’t prepare more than six meals at once and get them out to the table at the same time and hot without at least one of the meals being dried out or overcooked.
On the night of the dinner, waiters circulated with appetizers, the bartender was charming and efficient. And the meal. Beautiful food, delivered hot but not overcooked, beautifully displayed on the plate and tasty. The vegetarian meal was as good as the seafood.
Bam! That is exactly what you want from a caterer and it is worth five stars in my book.

Just had the second event with these guys in 7 months — they are beyond fabulous. The food is interesting and delicious; the staff are extremely competent and accommodating. Cannot recommend highly enough.

YUM, YUM and more YUM! Sally, Shelby, Dennis and their team made our wedding the most unforgettable experience in Grant Park. All of the little extra touches like mini-​burgers, fries and shakes for the late night crowd made for such an amazing night! Shelby’s patience and attention to detail are not to be missed — she’s a rockstar! If you want a creative, professional team for your event — no matter how big or small go with Dennis Dean Catering!
