Ran into a minor issue with print quality and the owner was quick to correct the problem. Staff was on hand to discuss imaging optimization.

Don’t be duped into doing your prints here. Digital Arts studio advertises and promotes itself as the«only place to print digital fine art in atlanta» but that isn’t necessarily true. I had such a negative experience with Barry the owner prior to printing for a large exhibit, I drove all the way to Nashville to get the work done at less expensive price and without the hassle of someone who isn’t a people person. Barry wants you to upload your prints to his poorly designed website-which looks and works like something that was done by your neighborhood teenager during the dotcom boom-and offers the absolute bare minimum in consultation regarding the best format, file size for printing to his machines. Your digital images are kicked to two seemingly disgruntled, unempowered employees who sit near the counter. At most places there’s quality control whereby the«technician» double checks that your print will print as it should based on the printer capabilities. Not at Digital Arts Studio – that is, unless you pay for it. We’re not even talking about image manipulation, we’re talking about image calibration for the machine. Rude. Obnoxious. Terrible customer service. And this was after dumping $ 1500 for slipshod production. Don’t print here. There are plenty of places who do better work at a better price without the hassles. AND if you don’t believe me, read the response from the«friendly» folks at Digital Arts studio below. Blame the stupidity of the customer. Yeah. That works. Excuse after excuse after excuse…

I went to Digital Arts with a project ready to be printed — all I needed to do was choose the size. I had the unfortunate luck of being assisted by Barry, the owner of the shop. Though my planned order was several hundred dollars of prints, Barry treated me as though my business meant nothing to him, and I was utterly inconsequential. Several proofs were printed — they were ok, not great, and given that he did not give me any thoughts on selecting the right medium or recommendations for improving my next proofs despite me asking, I assume this is par for the course for their printer quality. Still, I would have probably been willing to still work with them except for the experience I had with Barry. He constantly interrupted me, wouldn’t allow me to even explain what I was trying to do and get, insistently corrected me about everything from printing terminology to what my prints should be referred to. I can’t count the number of times he told me I was«wrong». Barry was particularly upset that I had not simply uploaded my project onto his newly-redesigned website(which, by the way, is cluttered and confusing to navigate — I spent fifteen minutes on it trying to determine where to upload things and gave up) and placed the order there. He was clearly annoyed to have to actually TALK to me, and when I was confused he insisted that I should just place the order online because then nothing would be confusing. I was in tears by the end of our conversation. I would rather get my artwork photocopied on a black and white photocopier at Kinko’s then give this man any business. I wouldn’t go back to Digital Arts Studio if you paid me. There is another one-star review of this business that is hidden and not included in the overall ratings. Read it — I wish I had paid attention to it before I went into Digital Arts.

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences with Digital Arts Studio. Every time I go in with questions there is always someone willing to take the time to really answer them and explore different options. There’s a great vibe to the place, and I feel like the people who work there are truly passionate about what they do. The quality of the prints and the framework they’ve made for me are top-notch.

Printing here is generally dead-on color, but if there happens to be an issue they take care of it quickly and efficiently. Scanning costs are reasonable and they let you know exactly how much time everything will take — most often they call about your scans or prints earlier than you expect. I’m never disappointed.

I have used Digital Arts Studio on more than 30 occasions to produce framed artwork, as well as digital prints for use on television and movie productions. Robin and Barry are extremely knowledgeable and great to work with! They have helped me on extreme deadline projects and it turns out great every time.

I had a very negative experience with Digital Arts Studio. Many students from the local art schools in the area are referred to this print shop, but many of the students speak about their bad customer service from the owner Barry. I decided to give it a try myself and give them the benefit of the doubt. Well I printed with them a few months and each dealing I had with Barry was negative. He was very defensive, short tempered and impatient. He also gets upset when his own online order form doesn’t work correctly. He is adamant that it’s always the customers fault, and to his surprise when he figures out there was something wrong on his side, he still doesn’t let up or do anything to make good with the customer. Their online order website is not very user friendly and it needs some work. Anyhow, I printed with them for the last time recently, and my print came out awful. Barry blamed me for it and took no responsibility even though he printed my prints 3 days late and one wrong. He said well it’s your own fault for not reading your invoice and noticing we had the wrong due date on it. I thought, «Wow, you still managed to blame me when you are blatantly wrong!» I then went to a competitor that same day, and they printed the same file perfectly within a couple of hours! They made good for something they weren’t even responsible for. So I wish the best to Digital Arts Studio, but I won’t be sending my prints there anymore. Be weary if good customer service is important to you.

Barry Glustoff and everyone else at Digital Arts Studio are really, truly great. We are a photography studio in Los Angeles, CA and have been working with Barry on giclee prints. From the very start, he and Annie were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping us determine what type of paper would best suit our needs. More pros: Super easy and convenient online ordering system. Very affordable prices. Great customer service. To illustrate this last point: The first prints we ordered came back damaged. Barry reprinted them without question, and packaged them the second time with extreme care. Unfortunately, and for some very unusual and unknown reason, the prints were still damaged. Realizing the ink was very delicate and that a protective spray would resolve the issue, I talked with Barry about a possible solution. He offered to personally spray each print with our desired medium, and then double-check the quality of each print before packaging and shipping them to us. For no additional charge. All we needed to do is ship him the protective spray we use(Hahnemule). The ONLY reason why I give them a 4-star rating is because, from my experience, the quality of prints is not consistent. Even after the protective spray, there were some issues that I had to fix myself(some trimming and spotting), and as a photo studio, it makes efficient order completion difficult. But, for the price, this may be worth it for many people. Thanks so much for everything, Digital Arts Studio! Juli Editor and Assistant Docuvitae
