Dunwoody Nails

Not much for atmosphere which seems to be important to most Atl-​ians. But I would rather pay fair cost for a decent looking nail shop than two times more for ‘luxury’ atmosphere. I want to pay you for the service you provide, not so you can have crystal chandeliers! Still, I understand wanting to be in a relaxing atmosphere while maintaining your beauty. This, for me, is a treat so I understand that complaintfrom people… Im just always in and out so I don’t pay too much attention to the atmosphere.
Anyway, I began going here because my co-​workers gel polish manicure was always neat and sophisticated. She recommended I go see the tech that has been doing her nails for years and I must say her work on my own hands has been very consistent!
My recommendation would be to slap some pretty paint on the walls and maybe a tv… you do make good money in there and it would be nice to impress those who care about that.
Also, get more people who are skilled like Helen. She’s always busy! But I just love her so I don’t go to anyone else in there.

I live across from Dunwoody nails, and every time I walk in without an appointment they always seem to help me right away. My favorite manicurist is Miley, she’s friendly, funny and enjoyable to sit with to get my hands and feet done.

This place in my opinion needs DEEP cleaning. I was there yesterday and so many things looked wrong. While seating waiting on my nails to get dry HUGE I mean HUGE cacroch feel of the sealing. Also they don’t clean and use sanitized equipment. Also I have to go back to redo my nails because of the poor job that was done. I am not going there EVER AGAIN !!! Not clean and not well maintained

Terrible! Waited an hour and the tech maybe spent 20 minutes on my pedicure. Everyone was in such a rush and the service was poor. Will not be back!

Closing but customer service was horrible. I could tell the techs were rushing and constantly checking the clock. Also my nail tech cut me and was switching my hands so face she didnt even notice. No tip given and wont be back.

Horrible. I’ve been there a few times and while the pedicures weren’t great, they were ok, marginally acceptable. But the location is good. But after today I will never return. It is quite possibly the worst pedicure I have ever recieved. No callous removal, although they charged for it. No buffing or smoothing of the feet, although I was charged for it. One coat of polish. I was in and out of the chair in about 13 minutes and I had the extremely shoddy pedicure to show for it. And there was so much oil and lotion on my legs that it was visible. I had to ask for a towel to remove it, but I was ignored, had to find a paper towel myself. And then the lady was surprised I didn’t leave her a tip, I had to ask for my change and she was surprised. Never again

PEDICURE
Simple $ 17 pedicure without spa chair. The spa chairs cost $ 20. My lady Helen was very nice and she doesn’t say much. She did everything efficiently and I’m happy with my pedicure. I just like multiple coats and clean cuticles. I like her foot massages too! She spent a good 10 – 15 minutes on the massage alone which in stoked about. I’ll definitely ask for her again.
ATMOSPHERE
they seem to know most of their customers which I like. I waited about ten minutes to get into a chair but I didn’t mind. They were understaffed and busy with people at the time I walked in.
COLORS
Lots of opi colors but very few Essie. I like Essie more and I actually found the color I wanted so no complaints there.

My friend got me a gift certificate here, and I was more than impressed! Great service, fun talk… I will be back!

Went there for a second time to try a different person. Got a full set with gel powder. I knew it wasn’t going to look nice when I saw her laying on the gel. End result bubbles, imperfections, looks like I did it myself. Not horrible, but not worth 40 bucks. They are nice ladies but I will not return.

My friend and I thought we would give this place a try since it was so close to where we both lived. We went on a random Saturday afternoon. There were a few customers in the store, but it was by no means busy. There was no wait, and we were both instructed to pick out our pedicure colors and directed to adjacent chairs right away. The chairs themselves are clearly older, but seemed clean. I was a bit concerned because they did not bring the pedicure instruments out of autoclave bags or out of UV trays, so it’s unclear where or how they were cleaned/​sterilized. The two ladies that did our pedicures were nice, quick and efficient, but the pedicures themselves were shoddy. My toenails definitely had nail polish on the toes/​skin around my nails when I inspected them afterwards. For the price (comparable to nearby areas) the work just isn’t what it should be. I won’t be back.

I came here based on all the rave reviews on here & I’m sorry to say I was disappointed. I had Lee, very nice but she didn’t speak a lot of English. I had a brow wax & a gel manicure. The bow wax was quick & painless & I got a great shape. But when I got home & looked closer there were a lot of strays that she missed. I’m not a fan of having to pluck after I pay for a brow wax. Moving on to the gel mani. I asked for OPI color & they only had it in little pots which made it much thicker then regular polish. They didn’t have a actual gel lamp with a timer so Lee just guessed if they were dry. After paying $ 30 I got to my car to examine my nails & they looked terrible! It was like I had a student do them, but I’ve had better experiences at nail schools! I’m willing to give it another chance if I made an exclusive appointment with chuckie, but that’s about it.
Update: It’s the day after my manicure & 3 of my nails have chipped! I get the gel nails so this won’t happen. I’m not sure anything will bring me back to this place.

I love coming here for wax! I do get my pedi’s here too. Ask for Chuckie if u r getting any svc. She is very friendly & does a Great Job!
