The food was in pint. The waiter was superb. Met friends here for dinner and drinks and we had a great time. We set on the patio where it was a cool evening. The bartender mixed the drinks perfectly all night long. The chef prepared a wonderful meal steaks, grouper, shrimp and grits, and bacon cheese burger. This was a great dining experience.

We went to watch the Dragon Con parade from the balcony. Lovely view, very nice balcony. Unfortunately, that’s all the restaurant had doing for it. We ordered coffees, water and mimosas. For $ 12, you should be able to find out the type of champagne used. Oops, that wasn’t a smart assumption-the waiter smiled, left and never said anything again. He brought one coffee and no water. Later, he brought the other coffee. No water. Each time we saw him, we asked for waters. We asked a total of seven times during the hour and a half we were there and finally were brought waters just a few minutes before the bill. The bill was actually the only item brought promptly. The food was just okay. If you are going to have $ 14 eggs benedict, you would think it would be more than a single slice of bread cut in half with the usual accompaniment. Getting refills on coffee was almost impossible. We had to ask several times for the single refill we did get. We asked the folks who brought our food for more coffee and mimosas and they asked who our waiter was. We told them and never got either until we asked the waiter himself twice more. So sad. The restaurant has such potential and our waiter ensured that we would never go back. The other staff seemed nice but not helpful. You may wonder who the waiter was… his name is Sylvester. He seemed to be on his first day and kept disappearing for long stretches of time. Maybe he doubles as a prep cook. The table next to us waited 45 minutes before even being acknowledged and the man at the table told us he worked there even. Sigh… the parade was great though!

Beautiful, clean, mod décor. The service was clumsy and the food was sub-par. I went for lunch and was having a vegetarian moment so I ordered a portabella sandwich. It came overly greasy: fried with waffle fries. Not what I expected from one of the few veggie options. I think I’ve had a better portabella sandwich at Ruby Tuesdays. The only thing this place has going is the ambiance. Maybe check it out if you happen to be staying at the hotel and just want drinks?

For dinner we ordered a grilled chicken muffaletta, corn cakes, spinach salad, and The Ellis sandwich. I ate bacon and eggs from the buffet for breakfast. My boyfriend had French toast, ham, and pancakes. I would have liked to order the fried peach pie but I was with work. I’d also go back to try the fried cheesecake.
