Eco Express Wash

Not a bad choice for a quick cleanup. Discount for getting your wash in before 11:00 AM (as of this writing). Prices went up marginally in 2015 but still an inexpensive car wash with free vac for paying wash customers. However, I will never come here again as of September 2015. In July 2015, my rear wiper was eviscerated by one of the high speed wash arms. I was promised it would be replaced but the manager dodged me for three months. When I finally got him in person he refused to pay for the wiper arm (mine was a $ 380 with labor from the dealer). He lost a two car/​week customer over very poor and openly hostile customer service. At an average of $ 7 for sometimes the plain wash and the once a month upgrade to the works Eco Express lost $ 728 a year in car washes from me. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out they care less about spending money to make a customer happy than they do about alienating a repeat customer. Two other customers received the same treatment I did, a Jeep lost a rear tail light and a damaged running board on a truck were both sent away without compensation. Not even an «I’m sorry, here’s a few free washes». Despite the nice attendants, the management here has made it clear that anyone with provable damage can f-​off. I now drive to Sandy Springs for a wash and it’s worth the extra money, distance and lack of damage to my vehicles.

They’re doing better over here. Pretty good place for a cheap car wash. The attendee is attentive!

I have been here twice, Literally both times, I have come back to complain about how dirty my car was. The first time, I went through the wash and my car was twice as dirty as I went in, with streak marks all over it. I didn’t realize until I was all the way home of course. I drove back up to the car wash to find out that an oil line had busted and I would need to come back for a complimentary wash. Total headache. The second time I came here, I could literally wipe off dirt with my finger after going through the wash. When I returned to complain, I got to go through again and it seemed to do a better job, The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is the free vacuums, so the inside of my car always comes out clean.

Damage to my vehicle– with a refusal to compensate! I have a Jeep Wrangler– the rear passenger side tail lamp housing was obliterated by the car wash’s spinning wash– TERRIBLE service– the «manager» REFUSED to compensate me for the damage-​not to mention he was rude and uncooperative. It is NOT an aftermarket part, just a factory lamp! They will hear from my attorney. Anyone know the corporate HQ info?

Do NOT go here. The car wash caused $ 300 worth of damage to my wheels. Because of the steep turn that must be made to turn into the entrance, it is difficult to properly line up your wheels.
I asked the attendant there and he assured me it was safe. As I entered I heard a loud scraping/​grinding noise. When I came out, my wheels were extremely damaged.
Accidents happen — but when I brought this to their attention first the manager tried to tell me that the wheels were «aftermarket painted» (they’re not — it’s a brand new BMW) and then he tried to convince me that the wheels were already damaged.
I’ve requested the car wash review it’s video, but I am not at all confidant they will do the right thing.

I just left there expecting my car to be dirt free and dust free after purchasing the most expensive wash they had, the $ 13 wash. I am hugely disappointed. The guy who sprays your car barely touched my car with the hose before my car went through the wash and only brushed the back with the brush while my car was still dry, scratching it by doing this. After all is said and done, I didn’t expect my car to be miraculous because after all it is a machine wash, but I have dirt marks all along the sides of my car after this wash. I have an Infiniti g35 so it’s not s cheap car, but this car wash did nothing for me but scratch my paint on my car. Beware! This place is a scam! I will now have to take my car to get cleaned again because of this lousy job this place did. I wish I could give this place a rating of one star. Bad business!

This is your basic drive thru car wash for $ 5, free vacuums included. The 8−11am $ 3 wash is pretty popular, too. It gets me what I need, and I hand dry my car in the same lot after driving thru so that my black Benz is extra shiny. There isn’t much competition around here, so this is a good bet. I’ve been going for the last year or so, and I remain a happy customer.

Amazing staff member here makes this the best limited service car wash in Atlanta. Took the new Range Rover off roading and after getting stuck in the mud my baby was dirty and needed to get cleaned. I decided to go here because it was close to home. Rod met us as we entered and shook his head and smiled. We did the same. He told us he would let us go through twice if it needed it because the car was filthy. After the first wash it was amazing how clean the car was but we decided to go through again. Rod was so sweet about everything and I was WOWd by his friendliness. Ill be back for sure.

I tried Eco Express this morning with mixed results.
The machine was broken so I paid $ 5 cash for the basic wash. When the attendant brought my receipt, he didn’t bring the $ 2 change (washes before 11am get a $ 2 discount). I went inside to get the change and it was provided to me with a genuine smile. I’d expected the Manager to be annoyed because the machine was broken, they were fairly busy, and I was asking for $ 2, but he was very nice about it.
The turn into the car wash was a little tricky and I heard an awful grating noise from the inside of my driver side tire as I turned in. Once on the rails it was fine, but that noise still concerns me. The $ 5 wash itself is a great quick clean and run; similar to the quick car washes that gas stations used to have.
The vacuum I used didn’t seem to have the suction I’ve experienced in other places, so I wasn’t able to get the dirt in the cervices, only the dirt on the surface.
If you need a quick clean and vacuum because a bird pooped on your car and your kid spilled Cheerios in the backseat, Eco Express is a solid choice.

Decent car wash on this side of town. Cheapest wash $ 5, free vacuum, score.

BEWARE! I had my Toyota Prius 2012 hubcaps broken by the attendant as he played on his iPhone while he misdirected me into the carwash.
I almost didn’t even go to that carwash that day, because I had been to this carwash a couple times and never had a great experience. Sometimes the attendant isn’t there or disappears. In addition, I always have a hard time getting my car clean at this car wash.
Anyways, I ignored my better judgement and as I was entering the carwash, the attendant was motioning me forward and to the left/​right while playing on his iphone (literally, he was looking down at his iPhone instead of where my wheels were going). Surprise surprise — my wheels didn’t go in the right place and it ended up damaging my hubcaps. The attendant used his hand to try and slam it back on, but it was warped and scratched. It won’t stay on properly anymore and looks terrible.
He did let me write up a report and seemed like they might (italics) pay for it. I called the owner to investigate reimbursement. I’ve now spoken with him on the phone six times (called a total of 9), been hung up on by him twice with no callback, and left a voicemail with no response. When I did have him on the phone, he said at most, they’re going to reimburse me $ 20 (even though the hubcaps cost $ 90). I was always completely nice on the phone and he seemed collegial as well, but as the weeks go on its getting more and more obvious that I’m never going to see my money. I’ve spent way too much time on this and have decided to just write a review since I’m never going to see the measly $ 20 toward fixing my car!

Free vacuums (before!) you wash. With the cheapest option for just $ 5 and a good clean for an automated place, it’s one of the cheapest you’ll get in and around Kirkwood.

Overall, Eco Express is one of the well-​priced assembly-​line car washes with free vacuums that I enjoy.
The entrance is on Moreland. The Hosea L. Williams Drive entrance is always closed, but probably used as an emergency exit if that need ever arose. Therefore, the best way to enter Eco Express is northbound on Moreland.
Eco Express is located on little acreage and the facility is definitely space constrained. As a result, customers must vacuum their car first. The inherent problem with that is that the vacuums are free, so it is only a matter of time before someone uses the vacuum without buying a wash and the trying to back up and creating a traffic nightmare (even though there is a sign that says that the vacuums are for car wash customers only).
The complimentary vacuums have good suction but they are not covered, to protect the customer from rain. The hoses are also too short, so creativity may be needed to vacuum the back of a vehicle. I put my backseat down so that I could reach the trunk of my station wagon. Turning around to back into the vacuum stall is challenging due to the tight space.
Similar to other express car washes, an automatic kiosk is used to accept credit or cash payments for the wash. Eco Express offers some monthly wash plans as well for $ 20−35/month. This is a good idea for those that wash their car more than 4 times per month. I wash my car about once per month so I always opt for the basic $ 5 wash.
After paying for the wash and passing the gate, vehicles must bank around a super sharp corner to align to the belt that pulls the car through the wash. I could see this sharp corner being an issue for larger vehicles.
Also, I have a station wagon with a rear wiper. Many express car washes will place a plastic bag over it to prevent damage. Eco Express did not do this, but there was no damage.
When I left the wash, I had to stop at the Edgewood center to put my rear wiper back in place though. This is why I prefer having the complimentary vacuums after the wash (bent mirrors or rear wiper blades can be adjusted before leaving).
Overall, Eco Express even with its imperfections is the best express car wash closest to Midtown. I prefer Swifty further south on Moreland but Eco is more conveniently located. I will probably visit Eco Express again.
