Einstein Bros. Bagels

Unlike some of the other reviews, the service I received was actually pretty good. They were extremely patient with me as I chose my half dozen. I also ordered the chicken salad on the spinach bagel. The chicken salad was tasty, but I would not get it on the spinach bagel again. I will have to agree that EBB is slightly overpriced.

The food here is way overpriced. I ordered the turkey sausage and egg sandwich on a wheat bagel, and there was barely any taste. It was like eating paper. Also, it was cold which is odd considering that I had to wait for them to «prepare» it.
I got a cookie too as a pick me up for later in the afternoon. When I got around to eating it, the cookie tasted stale, and I noticed that the cookie they sold me was past its «used by» date.
This was my first time going to an Einstein’s, but I will not be back. What a waste of time and money.

Drive-​thru is a challenge, make sure you ALWAYS request a receipt, check your order, OPEN your bagel in the wrapper and check that the cream cheese/​spread is correct, and check your coffee, NEVER feel rushed and like you have to hurry — or ⁹⁄₁₀ times you will drive away with something wrong or missing.
Today, I asked for the smallest OJ they have, they gave me a large OJ, I asked for a coffee with milk and one sugar, they gave me a black coffee, I asked for a sesame bagel with cream cheese and tomato, THEN they asked me if I wanted it toasted, and I said NO, they still gave me the bagel toasted. The first time I went through, I drove away without the wrong sized OJ, because of the way I received my last item, I thought that was everything.
They give you your order in piecemeal, instead of all at once, which to me is aggravating, how do they perform a check against the receipt if half the stuff goes out the window at different times?
Hint to management; train your staff to announce if there are more items coming. i.e. «I’ll have the rest of your order in a moment».
When the entire order is complete, have your staff announce, «OK that everything, have a nice day».
Training and management is lacking.

Einstein’s is a truly dichotomous experience. The service is usually terrible, so much so that they are known for this. However they have an uncanny knack for remembering your name… I have been to this place about a thousand times literally. The neighborhood blend coffee is excellent however it seems they are almost always out of half and half. I very much enjoy the Lox Bagel. Cream cheese is light and whipped and very good. I really enjoy the food and coffee at Einsteins however prepare to be baffled by the inconsistent service, it is almost part of the culture there. However they will remember your name which seems to make you forget you were just told to «hang on «by three people while they were all staring at one person make a bagel… Weird. If you frequent an Einsteins you understand.

Einstein’s was my routine breakfast/​coffee place before Panera moved into Ansley mall. I only came back… for a change of venues.
Assembly line couldn’t get orders straight…4 people waiting for milk/​cream at coffee, heck, customers standing around for food. (like panera) but at least a bench at panera.
Fundamentals were absent (i.e. I would like my coffee (& cream!) & bagel relatively quick). No team working, but they (as my dad would say when I’d was even more critical)… «They’re doing the best they can». TRAINING. Sounds like a good football team or any team for that matter.
There used to be a ‘strong black woman’ that handled the register that seemed to make it work when I used to come here. Still like the food… their breakfast panini is more substantial than panera’s though.
I had long waits before here (I now recall), but panera wasn’t around then..

Have to agree with other reviewers, the service here was terrible and the food was not too good either.
First, I’ve never been to any Einstein Bros. so I was not at all familiar with the menu or anything about the place. The menu stretches across the entire front wall of the place behind the service counter. But where they take your order is at the farthest left side which makes it quite difficult to even read the menu while your waiting in line.
The person taking our order was none too friendly and not helpful at all. Pretty much a what do you want attitude.
We selected 2 Bagel Melts; Chicken Mozzarella and Turkey & Cheddar. (Each at $ 6.95 seemed very expensive for a bagel sandwich)
She asked what kind of bagel we wanted. Having never been before we had no idea what they had. Do you think she was helpful at all? No. She could have motioned over to the case where you can see all the different kinds. We selected Onion and Spinach Florentine. We had no idea that there was an up-​charge of $.70 for the ‘gourmet’ bagel until we got our receipt at the end. I didn’t see that anywhere on the menu nor did the server offer up that information. (So now that Turkey bagel cost $ 7.65!)
The server yelled over to another server asking if the bagel melts come with a side. The answer she was given was no. Clearly no one who works there knows the menu or can read it. As we walked over to the other side of the counter to pay for our order, we could see on the menu (in small print) that our orders DO come with a side. We told the cashier, who happened to be the person that our server originally asked. After reviewing the menu he agreed. He indicated that they are constantly changing the menu so it is hard for them to know. We were told that the chips could be found over at the beginning of the counter. Why they have them at the beginning and not at the end is beyond me.
My chicken mozzarella was served open face. It was simply a plain (so plain) piece of chicken cut in half, with half placed on each side of the bagel with mozzarella melted on top of each piece. So boring, so bland and so expensive I definitely would not order it again! I actually did like the bagel itself, however.
While I may try Einstein Bros. again, I’d probably stick to just a bagel with cream cheese, and I will definitely not go back to this location.

Standard to below avg bagels and sandwichs… horrible service. Was overcharged at first then order messed up. You could tell staff did not like their jobs and did not care how they treated customers or how the food quality was… would not recommend and will not be back.

I am a bagel expert. How can I qualify this statement? I am from New York and have sampled the bagels that are the benchmarks for which all bagels must be judged. The bagels at Einstein’s are too spongey-​doughy to be on the level of what I expect from a bagel, but with the utter lack of bagels in this town they will have to do. The sandwhiches here are standard cold cut contraptions with cutesy names. Service here is embarrassingly bad at times. i like cream shees toppings on my bagel, but alas only lowfat versions are available here. I say if I’m going to stuff my face with a carb overload that is a bagel, I might as well have the extra few grams of fat in my cream cheese. It’s sort like ordering a diet coke with a Big Mac, why bother?

Mmmm… bagels and coffee, morning after another night of hardcore partying. We had no pampering appointment to rush to this time, so we indulged at Einstein’s. Bagels here are quite yummy, it’s the southern version of Noah’s.
