Over the past eight months to a year I seem to have convinced myself that Five Guys was not REALLY all that I had previously given it credit for being and that I would only go in for their fries when I needed to satisfy a crazy french fry-craving. Well, the burger bug must have hit me earlier this evening at about the same time that the lazy bug did, because I really wanted a big burger, but did not want to have to dress up or have to drive far to get to it. And in steps Five Guys! I really hope that I just go in at the wrong times and that this location gets a lot more business than it seems like it gets when I am there. Though I have never been in during lunchtime, dinner never seems to liven up the dining area. The tables, soda machine and condiment station always seem very clean and the little peanut station at the end of the front counter is well-maintained. Like other locations, the inside of the restaurant is plastered with reviews of Five Guys from all over the United States, which provides for substantial reading material when I don’t feel like fiddling with my cell phone while waiting on my to-go order to be prepared. One thing that I really appreciate about Five Guys is that they never drop fries [into the fryer] before an actual order comes in and the customer is present. Though they may start sandwiches and such for pick-up orders before the guest comes in, the fries are always presented fresh-from-the-fryer and still glistening with oil. Unless you really just are not very hungry, I always recommend getting the burger(or whatever variant that you order) in the regular size, versus the ‘Little Burger” with one fewer patty, as the cost difference is not super significant considering how big the regular burger really is in comparison. I WOULD recommend the«regular» fries, however, as the«large» size is ginormous! I cannot really think of a good reason for any one person to go through this many fries in one day, despite their deliciousness. Another thing that i really like about these guys is that you can choose from so many toppings for your sandwich/burger without upping the price per each. Five Guys perfection to me is a cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, raw sweet onions and mayo. There is sooooo much cheese and the cooked-through burgers(which I can live with in this situation) are not cooked to the point of being dry or overdone, which creates a sandwich that just sticks to itself and doesn’t really come apart. It may not be glamorous, but it is delicious! I will definitely be back, though hopefully not too soon! This is only one that I can/should do in moderation.

«I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes» That being said. I like some Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries. The food is always consistently greasy and oh so good. All of the burgers and fries here are made fresh after you order. I usually get the bacon cheeseburger topped with jalapenos, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. The fries are also excellent here, they tend to swap out the potatoes seasonally; so you get a different tasting batch of fries when you visit. Love the self-serve soda since if you need a refill you don’t feel awkward about asking an employee for a refill. The service here tends to generally be fast and friendly and consistent.

My go to burger. Basic but delicious and satisfying. They are made fresh to order(so are the fries) so you get just what you want on it. Self serve new coke fountain soft drinks. Fast and friendly. See you 5 guys soon!

This place is a great choice for a quick burger and fries. They make the burgers to order so you can choose the exact topics you’d like but it’s still fast. Plus you need a few minutes to enjoy the peanuts while you wait. They also have not one but two of the fancy computerized coke machines(I’m sure there’s a fancy name for them but I don’t know it… all you need to know is you get to use the touch screen to choose from dozens of coke product options… and there are two so there’s less of a chance of being stuck behind a kid playing mixologist!) The only downside is that it’s a little pricey compared to the average fast food burger BUT it’s also nicer than the average fast food joint and an order of fries is beyond huge(share them with a friend, you’ll still have too many!)

This burger looks so good that I want it to be!!! A big eeehh from me. Though it hails in comparison to normal fastfood burgers, its just not that flavorfull. If your talking sheer size, and a burger well done, then this is your burger. I’ve been here twice and I must say, the«well done» burger theme may not be to there advantage even though I believe it is there selling point? I gota say I prefer fatburger and johnny rockets. – Try the sides on your burger, mushroom, onions etc.

I had heard a lot about 5 Guys but had not yet tried it. One sunny Saturday afternoon my wife and I decided to target 5 Guys as a destination and try them out. Excellent in every way! Cheeseburgers and fries were as good as the $ 12 jobs at bars(no, better!). Ambiance was stark but better than the usual plastic fast food interiors. Even tho they were in a strip center with traffic nearby, their patio was comfy and shaded. Do not hesitate. Put them on your short list next time you want a teriffic burger and fries!

So, I don’t do burgers. Not for any particular reason, I’m just not a huge meat person. give me chicken or fish anyday and i’m fine. however, i’ve been craving a burger. why? i don’t know. went here and got a little cheeseburger and it was a-ok. its not like i have something to compare it to… so, yeah. the fries were delightful… we opted for the cajun option. mmmm. and the sweet tea was wonderful. if i crave another burger, i’ll go back here for some greasy burger lovin’.

For all the hype it was a little bit of a let down. When you walk into a Five Guys you’re bombarded with a ridiculous amount of self promotion plastered across the walls. «Best Burgers!!»… «Fabulous Fries!!!» … «ZAGAT reviewed!!!»… «We Rock»!!! I’m convinced the signage was snatched from another burger joint and modified accordingly. Overall I was just whelmed. Decent burger, but nothing to write home about. Considering the amount of time spent by the company to make you aware the potatoes brought in are specifically grown for Five Guys, I was pretty disappointed by the overall quality of my sliced up spuds. You keep hearing about grease with this place, and I have nothing to add other then that the reviews are right. It’s not bad though… I have to say of all the Unilocal I’ve read I’d agree the most with the person that called this place a glorified Burger King. Oh wow… I almost forgot! Ex — cess — ive!!! They should call this place«Enough food for Five Guys» Your meal, even when dining in, is served to you in a brown paper bag. I swear… they must fill up your little cup of taters and then just dump another mammoth hand full of Idaho lovin’ on top just for fun! The limitless supply of fries was just ridiculous. Along with the double layered burger I left with half my meal being consumed by the trash can and not by me. If you go, be prepared to step up if you don’t want to waste any food! I can appreciate getting my moneys worth when I pay almost $ 12(too much) for a Burger, Drink and Fries, but this was just silly…

I’m struggling to find the words with which to begin my review. I enjoyed my burger and fry dinner, but the only adjectives that come immediately to mind are«heavy,» «big,» «substantial,» and the like. Not exactly the most favorably descriptive terms! I had the regular-sized cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard. Barely finished half! That thing is huge! Tasty, but. .. a LOT. And I hadn’t had anything to eat today but a handful of almonds, so I definitely wasn’t prepared to be quite so overwhelmed. The Boy had a bacon cheeseburger, also the regular size, with lettuce and extra pickles, ketchup and mustard, and we shared a large fry(«large» is an understatement! wow! I think I only had about ten– tasty, but. .. super filling.). Ultimate verdict? Good flavor, good value, definitely meant to be shared(I’m guessing I could probably share the smaller size portions, too!). But, while I did enjoy my meal(and wish I could’ve done a 2.5 rating here), I don’t think I’ll be a regular– there was just something a little. .. much. .. about the Guys.

pricing is good, but our orders have been wrong on a couple of occasions, usually discovered after we’ve got it home. and don’t try to call in or fax an order. they leave the phone off the hook all the time and«claim» they didn’t know. then, when you fax them(the fax machine is right under the counter,) they don’t check the fax. the food, when done correctly is very good. attention to detail and the way the shop is run needs some help.

Everyone I know has recommended Five Guys Burgers and Fries to me at some point. Saturday, I finally gave it a shot(part of my ritual lunch with Dad — and this time with Mom as well). Having spent a couple of years in California and having my requisite In ‘n Out Burger(Animal-Style, of course) once a quarter, I felt right at home walking through the door. A simple menu of burgers(both small and large), fries and sodas makes for an easy and quick decision when you walk up to the register. Cheese or not, Bacon or not, Cajun spices on the fries or not. I enjoyed a great burger — greasy and delicious. I had a Bacon Cheeseburger(Regular), which is basically the large version. It was loaded with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. We enjoyed the plain fries and iced tea(half sweet). If you are looking for a relatively quick burger with good flavor and that isn’t a McWhopper, Five Guys is the place to check out.

It’s a bit unbelievable but I’m siting at my desk in my office and the entire building I’m in is empty, about 100 cubes sit lifeless in the dark. I have however found a old stereo and rigged my ipod up to it so although I feel like the last man on earth I am rocking out! After sitting alone here for the last five hours I felt like some company and decided to give Five Guys a try, ordered a small burger and small fries. The space was clean and Five Guys offers complementary peanuts while you wait. 90% of the lunch clientele seemed to be pregnant woman. My burger was just ok, the mushrooms had to have come out of a can and the pickles tasted sweet. The fries however are wonderful and oh so salty. I give five stars to the fries…

I love my Five Guys! Give me a Bacon Burger, and a Cajun Fry from FIVEGUYS and I am set for a good while. The burgers are amazing, made fresh, and never frozen. You can add as many free topping as you like till the things looks like it can’t support its own weight. Seriously, if you aint hungry don’t go. You need to put on those big boy/girl pants and pony up if you want to tackle a burger like theirs. Five guys is the BOMB!!!

Darn you, Five Guys, for making it difficult to lose weight! Previously, as I noted here: That it really isn’t like what I expected, hence the lower rating. That said, there was one that opened in my neighborhood(they seem to be popping up all over the place), so I stopped by there and ordered some stuff to go. Been going there ever since(every Sunday, after my run around Chastain). Reasons: 1) Bacon Cheese Dog with mayonnaise, ketchup, onions, mustard and relish. 2) The cajun-style fries. Sprinkle it with vinegar(I recommend balsamic vinegar from your cupboard) and dip it in organic ketchup and you have yourself a WIN! Five guys is going to make it difficult for me to lose weight. I fear I must take.. . drastic measures.
