I’m not sure how to feel. As suggested in other posts, this place is not appeasing to the eyes at all inside or out. It’s located literally a block from Turner Field and host parking during events. I asked someone in the immediate area where I could grab some decent Chinese and was pointed here. Now, I’ve had decent food from not so great looking establishments and decided it couldn’t be that bad: this was definitely hit and a miss! The menu was limited and didn’t have many of the items I’m accustomed to in an Americanized in-and-out spot, but looking to keep it simple I ordered the beef and broccoli with a side of crab and cream cheese wontons. It took about 15 minutes from order to completion and when I was presented my dish it honestly looked amazing. However, once I arrived home and opened the container I was overwhelmed by a highly dismaying odor I couldn’t quite recognize. I shrugged it off and took the one bite of the beef and almost spit it across the room. I’m not sure how the food was prepared, but it taste like there was some sort of chemical applied to the meat. I then turned my attention to the wontons, 10 of which were the biggest I had ever seen. I picked one up and crunched down into it only to find there was not a drop of cream cheese, but only bits of crab. At that point my appetite had been ruined. It’s more than safe to say that I’ll never be eating here again, but I can’t help but feel the need to ask the chef: Why? I’ve never been this disappointed by food quality before, but this has really changed my opinion about hole in the wall joints. I will admit the carrots and broccoli were actually well cooked, but the beef was not fit for human consumption.

This is sad, but I lived in this area for many years on Grant Street and and NEVER, EVER, EVER once considered eating here. Was always too scared. And still am. What’s cool though is the family that owns the dry cleaner’s on the other side of the street have been there since the 30s! Very, very cool.

From the first glance, you might be a bit scared, but looks aren’t everything. Ok… looks mean a lot(so they could work on this some), but their portions(HUGE!), taste and prices(average is $ 6/meal) make up for the looks. Highlights — *Beef Low Mein *Won Ton soup *Pork Egg Foo Yung *General Tso’s Chicken Note — Cash Only and I don’t believe they have an ATM in the restaurant. So be prepared to bring some green with you. They are also closed on Sundays. And they have about 4 tables in the restaurant. So I suggest to go the take out route. Overall…if you’re looking for cheap, tasty Chinese… here’s a place for you!

Don’t let the scary exterior get to you – the food is quite good! We had the curry shrimp and the chicken wings – both were excellent. Hot, huge portions, and very tasty. This is cash only, and although there are a few tables, I would suggest taking it home to eat.
