Get In Shape Boot Camp

This is a great gym that provides excellent service with awesome trainers.

i started going to this bootcamp for the free saterday classes for three months and tryin to include some of the exercises into my daily walk, then i was able to sign up, i have been going to this bootcamp for 3monthes 5 to 6 days a week different class times as they fit into my schedule. shannon and different classmates and or trainers were very helpful and pushed me daily to do more than i thought i could ! there is a great group of people here! everybody wants to see u succeed, i begin to see results on a measuring tape inches of waist and hips and even my arms every week, i got on board with the crossfit diet and have lost 51lbs !

Forget the bad reviews. If you want to be in the best shape of your life, then please do this bootcamp. I lost body fat so quick. This bootcamp is not for the faint of heart. Shut up and train or get out of the kitchen. Shannon is a Navy Seals, so you know you will be training with the best. I really miss this bootcamp. Too bad I relocated to another state.

I do truly wish I could write a positive review about this establishment. We all know that Mom & Pop type businesses need all of the positive marketing they can get. Unfortunately, I had a less than stellar experience dealing with the office personnel of the company. So much so, that I did not even get the opportunity to participate in their classes.
In short, I purchased a Groupon to this gym and was very excited to start right away. I have an extremely demanding work schedule but can schedule time to be at the 6:30pm classes. I was advised that I needed to be there 45 minutes in advance in order to fill out paperwork, take a tour, and go over my goals. I expressed to Nicki (who answers the phone without any pretense of a cheery demeanor), that to save time, I would like to come by to get the paperwork in advance and have it filled out before I arrived. I also informed her that the tour was not necessary nor was the conversation about the goals since my interest was in the class and I was not able to be there 45 minutes in advance.
Nicki proceeded to tell me in a gruff combative tone that «there is no taking paperwork with you». «No one had every asked for that before». And even she «didn’t like my attitude». Again, I advised that I wanted to attend the classes, and that she is misunderstanding «attitude for efficiency». Either way, she chose to tell me to get my money back from Groupon as I was not welcomed there because of my attitude. I am still not sure what attitude she perceived…
I say of this to say, that I am quite disappointed, saddened, and utterly appalled by Nicki’s statements. There were so many other ways to handle this including, allowing me to complete the paperwork in advance (whether I pick it up, receive it via email, or fax) and allowing me to attend the class. She then could have asked if I would mind staying after class to get the tour and have the discussion as it is part of their routine. Furthermore, she could have realized that if I had attended the class and loved it (which I had no doubt I would), I would have been able to share my positive experience and had several friends and neighbors PAY to join. Instead, she chose to take a very unprofessional stance. So instead of rave reviews, I post this review– but not after making several phone calls and sending several text messages out to my network.
I do wish Get in Shape Bootcamp/​GIS Crossfit much success, but it, along with all other places of business must learn that their greatness does not only lie in providing a great product or service, it also lies in the people you hire and their ability to serve customers.

I have been to several other camps in the area and this was, by far, the worst experience I had. It was also the least expensive although I got deals on others through Groupon as I did this one. I am in shape and work out every day, and am used to working out in boot camp classes. The classes are large and there are not a lot of trainers such that people get spread way apart which is totally unsafe at 6 AM in Piedmont Park. I felt completely unsafe one morning as the owner took off on a several mile run around the park (destinations and route unannounced) and he did not look back AT ALL to see that several campers were separated from the front of the group. There were eventually about 5 single runners left to navigate the park alone to get back to the cars, and when I expressed concern to the owner, he was incredibly flip and rude. Not worth the $ 35 Groupon, not worth any money in my opinion.

It is a great workout, but is not really for people wanting to get in shape. It’s more for people who are already in good shape, but want discipline. I learned this the hard way. Even though I am in decent shape, thin, and 25, I hurt myself severely in class because this class pushes way beyond a normal workout. This is a very risky idea for people who are not already doing a rigorous workout routine.

Get is Shape Boot Camp can help you get a great workout. Shannon the owner is very nice. The only thing that prevented me from giving this camp 4 stars is the fact that they don’t offer leveled camps like some bootcamps offer.

I have been going to this boot camp since October. They always have a great special and it cost less than the other boot camps around town. I have seen amazing results!
