I travel 40 minutes from McDonough to the Atlanta Ginstar. Why? Because they are worth it. I don’t trust my computer repairs nor would I buy a computer with anyone else. These guys know their stuff and almost every computer I have brought from them last at least 4 years. the only reason I get a new one is because of an upgrade. The store is located in a less than desirable area of Atlanta so they get civilized and uncivilized customers. Despite those work conditions they still manage to make me feel welcome whenever I come in. I highly recommend them.

Hard to earn business when the business isn’t open during business hours. Twenty minutes and counting… **UPDATE** Came back and they were open and had exactly what I needed for cheap!

Just walked in here today. Don’t expect them to let you look around much. A young Asian man was working the counter, he greeted me but when I ask to look through a box of keyboards for one with a serial plug he said«yes but don’t make a mess! «. It just seemed as though he thought I was a five year old and wouldn’t put things back where I got them. Overall not a great experience and left a bad taste in my mouth.

100% satisfied with the a service I get with Ginstar. my computer went kuput. I was pass due in replacing it I knew I didn’t want to buy a new laptop out of the stores because of that messed up Windows 8 ., oh hell no… I got a used dell laptop with a fast processor and lots of memory. They also got my old hard drive our my old laptop put it in an external case to work as an extra hard drive and I have access to all my old data that cost was $ 15…I suggest if your need computer repair or a replacement this is the place… they get a 5 star … hands down.

Yaye this computer garage sale looking place is great! I found a *new* Power Adapter for my 5 year old laptop! So I bent my cord and the Big Stores wanted me to bend my wallet as well…$ 80-$ 100 was the quote I was given for the big stores to ship an adapter to me! Uhmmm no I need my laptop for a class so I decided to pick up the phone book(since my computer was dead) and make a few local calls… I paid only $ 40 for an Authentic new AC adapter at this place… I’m impressed. It looks kinda shabby on the inside however

Ginstar is a great resource if you like to find great deals on used computer equipment and components. They sell new computers as well, but the best bargains are to be found in their refurbished systems and salvaged components. I bought most of my parts for my first home built system from Ginstar. They run manager’s specials on pre-built new systems that will blow the price at big box stores out of the water. However, and this is a big however, you’re taking them at their word about what quality components they used to build these systems. But that’s just the cynic in me pointing out potential problems. Ginstar is definitely not for everyone. If you prefer buying components or used equipment in person rather than on-line, then it’s for you. If you have trust issues on used gear or want more of a big business style warranty, I’d shop elsewhere.
