Guffey’s of Atlanta

I’ve been shopping here since 1981. With all of the changes Buckhead has gone through its amazing that Guffey’s is still a premier clothier and surprisingly located in the same Tower Place location. Don, Neil and George are the best!

Guffey’s is the ultimate gentleman’s store. This store filled with knowledgeable professionals with A+ fashion sense. In particular, George Stuart.
I came into Guffey’s, stressing about what to wear on my wedding day. After spending 2 hours speaking with George on what I liked and didn’t like, he suggested a few colors and styles for me. I put blind faith into him and the whole process of getting my pocket square, vest and dress shirt custom made. I returned to try on what was made for me and it is single handedly the best investment I have made with regards to clothing.

This is a first class men’s clothing store where you can have a custom made shirt for a price ranging from $ 245 to $ 900. There are also very nice shoes, sport coats and accessories. We found a great tie as a Christmas gift as well as a shirt for my sad. Both were affordable and the buying experience was so pleasant with the great and knowledgable staff. Yes, this is high end, but it does not feel haughty and the experience is pleasant just like when buying a luxury automobile from a place like Hendrick. Highly recommended.

This place is off the beaten path eventhough it is in the heart of Buckhead. They have the best selection of fine shirtings in Atlanta as well as extensive bowtie selection (I had them match a bowtie and cummerbund to match the grosgrain facings of my tuxedo). Their made-​to-​measure service is quite popular. You would have to travel as far as Washington DC or Houston to find a comparable store. Service is outstanding (far superior to any of the large upscale retailers in Phipps and Lenox or another well-​known Atlanta chain) and is a hallmark of Guffey’s. They also have unique gifts that would be perfect for corporate clients. Parking is available just outside the door. You will need to meander your way to the back of Tower Plaza but do not let the construction signs dissuade you.
