This place has a great beer selection, but the service was mediocre and the poutine was not the best. However, for a Friday night catching up with friends it was just perfect. Not too loud and not too busy in the parking was really easy. I bet if they kicked up their food a notch they would really get a lot more patrons. However this is a good place to start because right after here you can walk to a whole bunch of places without even moving your car.

Bar located downstairs from the Main Street level; cool and quaint hang out spot for drinks There is an extensive food menu at reasonable prices(for the area) Plenty of bar space and booth seating, servers are friendly and the food comes out quick. I just grabbed some Stella and artichoke dip. The place is downstairs so the lighting is minimal.

Went here with a group of friends on a pub crawl. They had a great food menu and a comprehensive drink menu. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries. We started sitting outside but move inside as the weather became colder.

The Highlands are a fun neighborhood to go out in — especially for folks out of college who are starting to get tired of Buckhead(let’s be real, the vibes inside of most Buckhead bars make you feel like you’re 19 again and at a college frat party). Hand in Hand is my favorite Highlands bar. The inside is dark and smoky(great for a second or third date), but it’s nice to sit in the patio area outside when the weather is temperate. The crowd at Hand in Hand is older — lots of yopros learning to appreciate(or pretend to appreciate) craft beer, which makes nights there more laid-back and relaxed than a typical night out.

One of my favorite bars in the city. The bar is large and they have a patio that’s nice to sit outside during nice weather. In addition, I went here for a date on a Monday night once, barely any people so it was warm and fun to hang out.

Throughout the week they have great deals. I usually meet friends on Monday night for half-priced food. Great assortment of appetizers. Nice outside patio.

Typically I am only at Hand in Hand at night with friends getting some drinks. It can be a pretty popular place with a crowded bar and no place to sit outside on the weekends. This Saturday I popped in for a late lunch with some friends and had a great time! They have a great beer selection and a solid«bar food» menu. We started with the potato chips and dang those things are good! Love the blue cheese and bacon. I got the pub burger with crispy onions and fries. The burger was cooked to my liking and everyone else enjoyed their meal. Our server was very sweet and efficient. I will definitely considering stopping into this place for more than just a late night drink from now on.

Great craft beer selection, and above average food. Daily specials include half-price Mondays, and $ 3 burgers on Tuesday. I go here a lot.

This place is amazing and I love the food menu, they are cheap too so you don’t have to break the bank for a good meal. Great atmosphere and good place to meet friends for drinks!

Awesome food, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve had a complaint every time I’ve been there(they forgot my order, or forgot we existed). Regardless, the food is awesome(I recommend the fish tacos and the burgers with pimento cheese), and the prices are fantastic. Good drinks, bartenders, and facilities.

I was served a cider that was in a glass that smelled like mold, I’m assuming from a dirty sponge? Absolutely disgusting.

I like this place. Always have. It will always remind me of those first days when my boyfriend and I were new to Atlanta and went to a few bars and discovered the city. Nice people and good beers, nothing to complain about.

I’m writing this review just on their fish and chips alone. I love fish and chips and always order them in any restaurant that offers it. Hand in Hand has the second best fish and chips I’ve ever had. They have the best fish and chips I’ve had in the south. The salad that comes with it compliments the fish nicely. The fish is crispy and flaky. I would come back here just for it! Their beer selection is great. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have a very extensive list. I’m sure it can get busy in here but every time I’ve gone, it hasn’t been busy. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Indoors, the entire environment has black wood everywhere with dim lighting. The outdoor patio is a dive bar. They have their own parking lot but it can get full and off street parking is available. The service was great every time that I’ve been there. They were knowledgable in beverages and food. If they didn’t know something, they always asked someone else to get the correct answer.

We popped in twice. Once for lunch and once at night for drinks. I highly recommend lunch time for food and a lovely outside seating experience. The evening time was WALLTOWALL and man… I felt old. Everyone looked 15 but I assume they were 21 and being that I am officially in the four zero stage, it was just meh. Sooo back to lunch. Mimosa — Check Cocktails — Check Check Great Beer List — Check Check Check Lunch — Incredible fish and chips. Big and tasty and I had food envy staring at my husbands plate. Big portion! I had a grown up grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup. Delish but I feel like mine sat out a little bit waiting on the other entrée. The soup wasn’t as steamy hot as it should have been and same with the sandwich. We were in a hurry so I didn’t say anything. Flavor was still great tho. Would recommend for food, would avoid if you are over 38 for nighttime.

Three or four visits here, the first few quite a while ago. I enjoy the relaxed bar vibe, similar to what the Angel in Decatur — now Marlay House — had before being overrun by children. Hand in Hand has a nice patio, with wood-slat overhead screens cover to shield some of the tables from sun and umbrellas for other tables. A lot of the tables are picnic-style benches, however, and I find I need a seat back these days to be comfortable. Inside is typical pub-style décor and arrangement. Has a strong neighborhood bar feel. The food is rewarding enough to not be a detractor. They do have great fish and pork tacos and on Sunday you can get these for $ 1 and $ 2, respectively. Bars are about the drinks though and Hand in Hand has a solid draft list. Not as many wines but that selection, too, is adequate for most, I’d say. I have no experience with the quality of cocktails or selection of hard liquor. Parking can be a zoo, what with the lot being shared with the boozery next door. There are, however, places on the street or pay lots nearby. I think some have remarked that service can be a bit spotty but I’ve not had it that way. No complaints at all from my experiences.

Hand in Hand was packed when we arrived on a Friday night. We sat at a table and our waitress, Anna, was attentive and informative. She told us all about the house infused vodkas and other options on the menu. It was definitely a good choice to sit at her table rather than fight for a spot at the bar. I tried two of the house vodkas. The Jasmine-green tea was my favorite. The grapefruit ginger was also okay, but I probably shouldn’t have ordered it because I hate grapefruit. My friend loves grapefruit and she loved the grapefruit vodka. The beer list was fairly extensive and offered a lot of less common options. They also had a large patio. It wasn’t a particularly unique atmosphere, but I’m sure I would return.

The food here is so terrible that they should change their name to Ass to Mouth. I went there last night(Thursday Night) with a friend of mine and I was way disappointed. Let me ask you this friends? What would you expect when ordering a $ 10.00 hamburger? Well, I don’t know about you but I’d expect it to be borderline orgasmic. Well, not this one. This was a flat lifeless, tasteless burger. With every passing bit I forgot about the previous one. The fries were good but then again, it’s hard to fuck french fries up. Our waitress was really not very good at all as she never brought us napkins or silverware. We asked her twice and finally I just ended up getting up and going to fetch them for us myself. When I got the bill and saw that it was 40 something bucks, I just couldn’t help but feel like that was the absolute worst 40 bucks I had spent in a long time. Bad service, bad quality food, high price. Next time we’ll just go to George’s where we know the burgers are good.

Awful. Discriminatory. What more can be said? Black people don’t come here. Came here with a girlfriend for Saint Patrick’s Day. We went to the bathroom together, as many women do(both African-American women who work in the service industry). We were sharing a stall(as the other stalls were taken and we figured it would be quicker). Less than 5 minutes passed and one of their female employees bangs on the door and accuses us of doing cocaine. Really?! Really. This happened. Lol. Knowing of the environment present in some of those areas, my resolve is present in the assumption that the general manager sent someone to follow us around the 99.9% white population that constitutes Hand in Hand. Disgusting. The equivalent of being followed around a clothing store because you’re black. Never going back!

A pretty spacious place. It’s not super crowded here compared to the other bars in the area. The crowd here has folks in their late 20’s to 30’s. Hand in Hand is pretty spacious ish since it wraps around the bar. You can also congregate outside as well. Random: It was interesting that water was available in coolers versus you having to ask the bartender. Lol. This whole area isn’t super big so the crowd here isn’t as large. Parking can be found around the nearby neighborhoods.
