We love getting our hair cut here. It is a relaxing experience. We love the sandalwood eye mask. My husband and I both go to Erika Audrey and think she does a great job. She understands how to cut our curly hair. The haircuts grow out well too. She is very professional. She doesn’t pressure you to buy any product, if yiu don’t want to. It is very easy to make an appointment online. She is never behind schedule. She doesn’t make you wait. She is talented hair artist.

Hawkins & Clover is officially my go-to place to get my curls cut. I’ve got thick crazy curls so the right cut is critical. Erika listened to all of my hair woes and gave me a cut that addressed them all. Best hair cut I’ve ever had.

Erika has been cutting my hair for years. For the better part of my life I have had really long hair. Recently, I trusted Erika to cut most of it off into a short bob AKA the new mom cut. Having my hair cut short really allowed me to appreciate her talent as a hair stylist. She has that rare gift of being able to picture hair placement with different face shapes to ensure that your haircut is complementary to your face. Every time I leave her salon I’m blown away with how incredible my hair looks and feels. I highly recommend Hawkins & Clover and Erika. Check her out and you will fall in love!

Every time I leave H&C I feel sexy and relaxed — and as a 40 year old mom of 2, these are feelings that don’t come too often. I’ve been going to Erika for a couple of years, and I feel like she totally gets it. The experience starts out with a quick initial consult, a glass of chilled clementine infused water(or beer or wine), and an indulgent aromatherapy scalp massage and shampoo sesh. Erika’s Curly Girl cut is always on point — whether I’m in the mood for something short and sassy, or a little edgier — I can count on Erika to make me feel younger and look ultra stylish, achieving the goal of NOT looking like a mom. And the cut is always easy to maintain at home. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to your hair — so do it!

I thoroughly enjoyed my hair salon experience. I was greeted warmly as I entered the stylish and intimate space. I was even offered complimentary water, coffee, tea, beer, or wine. Erika Audrey, the owner, was my hair stylist. She took ample time to discuss my concerns with her and together we agreed upon a plan of attack for my haircut. But first, I was treated to a pampering sequence at the hair-washing station. I was covered with a plush blanket and a lavender-scented eye pillow was applied. I had a choice of 4 essential oils for my scalp massage(ooh so good!). Seriously, the scalp massage was amazing. Erika helped me revive my curls with her cut and care. Two months ago, I underwent a keratin treatment, rendering my locks limp and lifeless. With Erika’s help, I left with soft, bouncy, voluminous curls. Erika explained every step so that I could recreate the look at home. I enjoyed the«no tipping» policy, though be prepared to spend a pretty penny(totally worth it).

Will the REAL Curlygirl please stand up? If you opt for H&C the«Curlygirl» thinking it’s like the traditional Deva-type cut, you’ll be disappointed. It’s done on wet hair, not dry like a true curly cut. It’s a good haircut, but it’s just a regular haircut — except for the price.

I’ve been coming to Erika for almost a year now. The entire experience is awesome. I never have any idea what I want to do with my hair. I sit down, wave frustratedly in the general direction of my hair, and tell her to do whatever she wants to it and it always comes out fabulous. Although I will say that on my first visit, I did show her a picture of what I’d been doing in the past and she made it happen. My favorite part is the shampooing. You get a hot lavender face mask pillow thing over your eyes, and then you get to choose your oil scent. I usually go with orange. It gets massaged into your scalp and you feel like you’re melting into the chair. There are a variety of Alterna hair care products available for purchase. I swear by their dry shampoo. Additionally, there is a display of skin care products like lotions and body oils. I bought my SO a face oil, which he uses on his beard, and he loves it. You should definitely visit their website and check out the service menu. The titles for the services are pretty cool and really, there’s something for everyone. I will say H&C isn’t cheap. But it’s soooooo worth it. P. S. There is a lot behind the Jane building in which H&C is located. However, I have scheduled appointments for evenings, afternoons, weekends, and not at any of those times have I managed to find a spot in that lot. I don’t know why I even bother trying still. I can usually find street parking on Cherokee near the building but have sometimes had to park as far as two or three blocks away. P. P. S. Still totally worth it. P.P.P.S. Per Erika’s owner comment below, how could I have forgotten to mention the booze? Beer, wine, water, and fancy orange-infused water are some of the refreshment options. Beer while I get my hair cut? Yes, please!
