I finally decided I was over washing, twisting, etc., my own natural hair. I haven’t had a regular stylist, other than a barber, in over 15 years. Back then, I went every Saturday at 6 am. I was committed. So I read the reviews and decided to stop in for a consultation. Timing is everything because I left after receiving a wash, deep condition, steam, trim, and style. Very affordable.
Khetty, my stylist, as were the other ladies, was a pleasure to talk to. She gave me an awesome wash along with a braided updo combined with rod curls in the top. It’s low maintenance and cute. Yay!
I also paid close attention to the owner, Shaniqua, as most of her clients were naturals. I thought I was done with weaves but watching her make it look so natural, makes me want one again.
I’m rating my experience as a 4, only because it was my first time and I want to go a couple more times to compare.

I’ve been coming here for years. Nikki, Gina, and Angela have all touched my or my daughters head and I’ve always been satisfied. They provide great advice and care for my natural hair. I’ve had flat iron, wet sets, and Up-​dos. Also great cuts. My layers are always on point.

I came in and was offered coffee AND cookies??? Yes please! I hadn’t had my hair done in a while and they took me in and really treated me like I’d been coming for years. Nicky asked me the type of relaxer I used and chose a better fit for me. When I tell you I left with my scalp refreshed and my hair felt like pure butter!!! This is my new salon. Check them out. You’ll LOVE it :-)

I had been going to Inner Beauty for almost a year when their staff changed abruptly. We simply got a newsletter with all kinds of new policies and prices. However, the changes expanded the range of services, and offer an improved scheduling system. Although they were seriously overbooked during the transition, service is back to normal. I continue to receive excellent loc maintenance. This shop us great because more than one stylist can do locs and work on natural hair. However, but I always go to the master stylist and owner Shaniqua. She is friendly, fast, and runs a very professional shop.

I had a great experience here. I was able to request an appointment online and get a time that worked for me. My appointment was for an hour on a Saturday morning to get my extensions taken out and I was seen right away. It’s always appreciated when your time is valued and you don’t end up waiting 30 minutes to an hour past your appointment time, especially on weekends.
The salon is nice and the staff is very professional! I will be going back for sure in the future.

I had my loc maintenance by Shaniqua while I was visiting from out of town. I actually liked how she did my hair better than my regular loctician! I noticed that they do try to call customers if running behind. My locs ended up looking very near and she was able to remove a lot of build up that was the result of a prior loctician’s aloe Vera use. The prices were very reasonable with maintenance starting at $ 60 and up. If I am back in Atlanta for business again in the future I will make sure to stop in and give my locs a treat.

If you are looking for an experience that is customer focused then you have found the right establishment.
Unlike many stylists, Shaniqua (Nicky) is not money driven but quality driven. She believes in providing a service that the customer is satisfied with.
Across the board she is a BOMB stylist! Do you have natural hair? No problem, she can style it for you. Is your hair relaxed? No problem, she can style it for you. For you ladies that love the Malaysian, Peruvian, Brazilian, etc… Nicky is a hair weave killer! I especially love her creativity where short cuts and color are concerned.
Has this review been convincing enough? I could go on and on about how amazing Shaniqua is but you won’t truly understand until you have experienced her work for yourself.
I’ve been a customer of hers since coming to Atlanta in 2008 and I don’t see that changing unless I leave this state.
