Bimbimbap is the best dish. Of course the salmon and Hummus are great as well. The people are always super friendly and it seems very clean.

Although this place looks great from outside the food inside is not the same. I had bibimbop and it was horribly bland. I am a veggie so chose this place as they have some options. Just plain brown rice with vegetables which were not even fresh. Quantity is good but you cannot eat it as it tastes aweful. I will never eat here again.

Not sure if they were having an off day. We came into lunch today and ordered the salmon special and chicken kabobs. Both were dry and left a lot to be desired for the price of the food. Not sure if I should give Jaffa Gate another revisit or not…

When I’m in the mood for something different at Colony Square, I go here. The Tuesday-Thursday Bibimbap is my go-to guiltless dish. It’s really pretty tasty! Although every once in a while I’ll get it served too cold and not realize it until I’m already sitting down. The gyro is definitely worth trying. Probably not as healthy for you, but definitely tasty. The best part might be the service, even if they’re super busy, the staff are always really polite and positive. It’s efficient and pleasant. PLUS they accept Level Up! I don’t even have to take my wallet out to pay, nice.

I love Jaffa Gate! I work at the W Hotel and go here frequently to get hummus and pita bread. The pita bread is the best I’ve ever had. The ladies are really nice. One lady(I think the owner) remembers that I always want extra pita bread. They have a ton of bottled drinks too, and like someone else said, are open more than some of the other places there, which is nice since sometimes Starbucks is the only other close choice for food. Even the desserts are good.

This place gets a 5 simply because the people are so very friendly. The food is good too, had gyro plate(shwarma slathered with tzatziki, pita and salad on the side). Filling, cheap, and tasty. I was greeted immediately on walking in and they were eager to make a recommendation and quick to serve. Great place for a inexpensive, quick, delicious lunch. Most of the places in Colony Square are not opened on Saturday, but this one is. Good for them.

So I’ve gone back here again for breakfast, Greek Omelet with Gyro meat, they told me only 3 strips of Gyro meat, but thank you she doubled it for me… the chopped raw onion was a little hard to eat, but it was not a bad Omelet. Though I wish when they get a time off, visit other restaurant that serves similar food and taste the difference, since the key is finding that right food that pulls the customer back for more.

The falafel and gyro platters are awesome! The service is always friendly and on point. Great prices for healthy and fresh portions. I definitely come here 2 or 3 times a week for lunch

For vegans, this place has some tasty options. The Bibimbap, served Tuesdays-Thursdays, is a pretty healthy dish. You can get it vegan if you request they leave off the egg and get tofu instead of the chicken. It’s got cucumber, zucchini, carrots, lettuce, rice and bean sprouts. They also drizzle a sesame sauce over it which is tasty but probably hampers the healthiness of the dish. I prefer the falafel platter which comes with 4 pieces of falafel, hummus, lettuce, a tomato/cucumber salad, tabouli and some pita. Now, I have asked if the pita is vegan. They didn’t seem to understand the question so I simply asked if it was made with milk and eggs and they said no. I admit, I am not being a super-vigilant vegan here. If someone tells me it isn’t vegan, however, I will stop eating it. There is also a couscous salad that is vegan but rather tasteless.

Who knew a Mediterranean restaurant would serve Bimbimbap? Well, this one will(as you will see from other reviews). It was quite tasty with the brown rice and large tofu servings. My only turn off was the egg. When I see fried egg, i expect more that a friend scrambled egg piece. The prices are reasonable too.

went here for lunch today. when i walked in and saw bibimbap — in a mediterranean restaurant — what?! never have i had bibimbap in a Styrofoam container. however, it was still good seasoning. just odd. just as others said, brown rice w/the bibimbap, so healthier. good flavor, i could taste the sesame; bean sprouts, lettuce(random), egg, and cucumber/carrots and chicken or tofu. the red kochujang(go-chu-jahng) is made for americans, in that it’s mixed heavily with ketchup. no good for koreans who like the real taste, but i just didn’t use it. very surprised at the quality of the food. my friend had a falafel, and he said it was great. will visit again. however, THEREISNOFREEPARKING. BOO.

Korean-owned Mediterranean joint located in the food court of Colony Square. My favorites — bibimbop and falafel pita sandwiches. I’ve come here many times. Bibimbop is one of their $ 5.95 daily specials, and only available certain days of the week. While the veggie selection is not necessarily authentic, I think the bibimbop is still very tasty — and healthier too b/c of the brown rice. Other ingredients incl. bean sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, egg, romaine, mixed greens, spinach, sesame oil, and hot sauce. The $ 4.59 falafel pita sandwich is another favorite — yummy but messy to eat :) Sandwich incl. 3 falafels, hummus, Tabouli, cucumber, onion, and tomato salad. OK dishes but I probably wouldn’t get again — lemon pepper chicken(daily special) and the gyro sandwich. Skip the fries — they’re microwaved, soggy, taste like Ore-Ida … and $ 1.75. Definitely get the bibimbop if it’s available.

Bi-Bim-Bap! In a Korean Mediterranean restaurant?!? Yes indeed. This is served on Wednesday and Thursday and I get it about once a week for lunch. Not the traditional method though– the egg is cooked omelet-style and sliced up, but the veggies are wonderful and you can get it with chicken or tofu. Lovely people here too. Enjoy!

I think this is the best place to get lunch if you are in colony square. You can get good healthy meals for less than 7 dollars, and it’s really good.

I like the Mediterranean food fine, but I eat the bibimbap at least 3x a week. It is a super healthy lunch and for 5,95 — a good bargain.

Goldberg’s was closed this morning and I needed to eat something. The gyro was okay. the Falafel. I have no idea what that was, but falafel it wasn’t. luckily i only paid less than $ 3 for the side of falafel. took one bite and into the trash it went.

This hidden gem of the Colony Square food court is named after the main gate to the Old City of Jerusalem, serves mediterranean AND Asian food as well as biscuits for breakfast, and appears to be run by Koreans. The pita, falafel, and spanakopita are quite good. The hummus and baba ganoush are just OK. The staff is very friendly. And last time I checked, they were the ONLY thing open in Colony Square on the weekend.

This is located in Colony Square, a busy building, with shops and lots of resturants. Similar to a mall without the huge department and clothing shops. Great selection and good prices. I’ve had the eggplant parm which comes with bread & a good sized salad for about $ 6.50 They also serve a full breakfast and have a lot of snack & dessert items. The beverage selection is huge– sodas in cans or bottles, a variety of teas and SOBE drinks. Like a mini 7 – 11! Nice friendly & quick service
