Love the food. Everthing was reasonable. Food came out at a good time. Plates looked good. Overall very nice.

I don’t what’s to complain about… I think the place was excellent! It looks nice inside. The prices were good. The food was quality and amazing tasting. The portion was generous. Our server was beyond friendly and very attentive. It seriously was perfect.

Coming from San Antonio, TX, it was a nice thought to have Mexican food considering we’re here for a couple days. We thought everything was going to be well, but there were a few lacking things. My partner and I got sat by the, what we thought to be, the hostess. We nearly waited for at least 10 minutes before we decided that we needed to flag someone down in order to get service. We ultimately got our orders and started to eat. The food I can say was ‘ok’. I guess I’m a little biased because our Mexican food back home was so much better-tasting. It would be so much better if they had home-made tortillas versus the generic store-bought products. Everything tasted store-bought. If you want decent ‘ok’ food, this place is okay. The redeeming qualities were talking to the other customers waiting for food/service and the waitress who helped us out.

This place served my enchiladas stuffed with American cheese. My girls food we had to take back. Worst place in the city. Should be put out of business.

This was the absolute worst Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in the past 4 – 5 years. The beans were undercooked and under seasoned(I’m all for a good *crunch* in my meals, but not in the beans!). The tortilla smelled greasy and the lettuce looked black and wilted. The steak, which was ordered medium, came out well done. It wasn’t all bad though; the nachos were good, and the chicken was cooked nicely. But for all the negatives, even these small positives can’t help this place. The service was also poor, although our waitress was nice. It took almost 50 minutes for our order to come out, and even then one dish was incorrectly prepared. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless there was nothing else open. However, in the area, there is a Hooters, Hard Rock Café and an American Grill, so there are options available. Please, do yourself a favor and don’t come here.

The six of us that went to this place we said itwas the worse Mexican food we have ever eaten before in my entire life. First off the waitress didn’t even come to us for 15 minutes. The margaritas we order were straight up mix with no alcohol in it. Then the food came all at different times some people had already finished there meals before everyone else got there’s. One point of the dinner one of the waiters took my food away I was already eating and said this wasn’t for me and brought it to another table. I literally got up and told that person I just ate that and those people got up left. When my food did come around the second time it was bland and had no seasoning, My friends salad had hair it. The nachos the other person order had burnt cheese and no steak in it. I highly and truly recommend avoiding this place and there way way over price on there food.

Not what we expected at all. Fish tacos were very bland. Sangria was lifeless. Server was less than enthusiastic.

AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS! We chose to come here as a last minute, «We’re hangry» restaurant. Bad choice. The water tastes off, the monster nachos have a very strange flavor(in fact, all of the steak did), the food didn’t taste fresh, and the service isn’t very good either. My burrito was drenched in salsa… To the point that I couldn’t taste anything but the salsa. The burrito was so drenched that the tortilla was soggy and smushed. The best way to describe the flavor of the food here is to say that it all tastes like FOODPOISONING! Gross.

I’m that guy. I challenge low reviews just in case. Reviews speak for the truth. Quality of food is not to standard. Corn was OLD like food standard violation old. Cold corn side gross… I wouldn’t even give it to an animal on the street. Greens on side were brown and steak in the empanadas was old looking as well. To the point couldn’t distinguish steak from mushroom that was in it.

The reason this place gets one star is because I can’t give zero stars. My friend and I picked this place on a business trip and failed to check the reviews… Our bad! I’m not sure there were any positives to the experience. So here are our negatives: 1. A Mexican place that does not offer complimentary chips and salsa, really?!? 2. The food was beyond bland. 3. The service was subpar at best. 4. The house margarita was watered down. 5. The soda was flat. 6. The food was cold when served. I should say that I have never felt the need to place a review while still sitting in the restaurant except on this occasion.

My cousin whom I haven’t seen in about 6 yrs, came into Downtown to visit me since I was in town & this place is across from my hotel. Even though she lives in Atlanta she gets lost easily so I didn’t want to stray too far because she had her granddaughter with her. Any who, this is the 2nd place I’ve been to today that used to be good but has gone downhill. The waiter who I won’t name was very cranky as soon as we were seated. Sort of annoyed that we had the«nerve» to sit at his table. We ordered a taco salad, fish tacos, & a steak dish with onions, & peppers in creamy chipotle sauce & I asked for chips with salsa as an appetizer since they are no longer complimentary. Everything came at once. Had to eat my meal first so the cheese wouldn’t seize up. We had to ask for extra plates to give the little one some chips & Dude spun around & huffed away. Now, my food was bland & generic & sloppy looking & tasting. If you can taste sloppy. I can. My cousin & I are talking & Dude walks over & says«Look can you close out the check we’re closed!» WHATTHEFUDGE?! Are you pushing us out? Why the hell you didn’t tell us when we walked in that you were about to close? There’s a thousand other places we could have gone. Now it all makes sense with the attitude! Next time do us & yourself a big favor & tell us you’re closing soon, so even if the food sucks we could’ve had a good relaxing visit with each other.

Eh. Ive been here a couple times and I’m not sure why I keep returning. Negatives: No complimentary chips and salsa. It’s $ 5 and they aren’t that great… Pretty dirty. Menus usually have crusted salsa and the floor is sometimes sticky It’s expensive in comparison to other Mexican places Service is usually pretty terrible. Positives: Large shots! I love me some heavy pours! I love their veggie fajitas! Sooooo, I expect going into a hole-in-the-wall it might be dirty and service may suck, but then to pay too much? There’s tons of great food options in downtown Atlanta and I definitely would recommend going elsewhere unless you’re ok with paying way too much for something lackluster.

Cheap Mexican but not at a cheap price and no complimentary chips. The food was not that great and the service wasn’t the fastest either. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and while yes it was a good sized quesadilla the filling was just not that tasty. It came with chicken, peppers, lots of onions, cheese, and mushrooms. On the side came salsa which was pretty spicy, sour cream, tomato, and shredded lettuce. The lettuce was seems watery but comes to find out they put some sort of dressing on it which quite honestly ruined it for me. The tortilla shell was nicely toasted which I enjoyed but given that the inside was below average it made me not enjoy my meal quite honestly. It was $ 10.75 as well so a little pricey for lunch given what the food tasted like. The service was sub par. Not horrible but definitely not on their A game. They weren’t very friendly or enthusiastic but instead just boring and didn’t seem to enjoy their job. The best thing this restaurant has going for it is the fact it has an outdoor terrace seating area. Not worth it though for the quality of the restaurant to want to eat here. Definitely try another restaurant if you’re in the downtown area!

I usually don’t dish out one or two stars. In this case I will make an exception. We did not check the reviews before we ventured in. Sure wish I had. The service is more than slow! I almost finished this review between the time she brought the check and the time she picked up the check and my Credit Card. On to the food. My bride had the chicken Cesar Salad. You should read her review. I tried her chicken… I really can’t describe the flavor. Yuck would be a good start. I had the Chicken Quesadilla … NOTTOGOOD! Had the bottle of hot sauce been CLEAN and not covered in filth I might have been able to add a little flavor. Do your self a favor. READTHE UnilocalREVIEWSBEFOREYOUCONSIDERTHISPLACE. Well all the Unilocalers are correct. This is a true 2 star restaurant. Started out with our water glasses turned upside down on the dirty table … I decided to skip the water. The condiments were so nasty and dirty … I decided not to use any of them. I ordered on the safe side… Chicken Caesar Salad. Thank goodness for Premium Saltine crackers and Ken’s packet of dressing. Nasty chicken on the salad. I picked that off. My husband got the Chicken Quesadilla. He only ate about half. The waitress was slack and SLOW!!! Actually we are still waiting on her to take the check. We are still trying to flag her down. But… THEVIEWISGREAT!!! We won’t be back though.

Servers were pleasant enough but didn’t seem to fully be organized, as they didn’t know who should be waiting on who. Nice spot on the patio but everything is just plastic lawn furniture, so not the most«classy» feel. The margaritas and daiquiris were yummy. The«salsa and chips» and«guacamole and chips», are not a good deal… when you see the price, you are like«wow that is cheap’ but trust me, it is cheap because it only gives you a tiny bit, in plastic cups, really really small ones… honestly, not worth it. Love the atmosphere of being outside and on the main street and drinks, but no other benefit.

The food is not bad, The vibe is pretty good, Prices are reasonable, especially when you consider the location in downtown. The overall experience is the main issue here. The outdoor seating is decent, you can’t really see under you, but it’s a option for a nice day. So why they low rating? In one word… the service. Server never checked on my table. My co-worker wanted a refill and got tired of waving down a waiter that he gave up towards the end. When we finally got our check, there was no acknowledgment of the fact that we got ignored the entire night. I even had to get up to grab eating utensils after our food was brought out. After being seated, it was nothing but neglect. It’s a legitimate 2 star establishment. Service is vital to any business. From time to time, I may give a pass if the food is fantastic, but that was not the case at JC. The Taco Salad I ordered was pretty good, but was overloaded with lettuce. It’s a solid option during lunch hours for those staying in the area and trying to avoid going over budget. For the money, you are probably better off trying one of the restaurants inside Peachtree Plaza.

I was one of only a handful of customers in the restaurant at 2pm. I had just gotten off the plane, settled into my hotel next door and hadn’t eaten since I woke up at 3:30am, so I was very hungry. I looked at the menu, saw that they had a decent variety of food and ordered the cheese enchiladas. To my surprise, the food took less than 10 mins to get to me, so I barely even drank any of my Negro Modelo before the food came out, which wasn’t a bad thing. The food was tasty and they had enough hot sauces to please my taste buds. I’d definitely eat here again.

Consensus on Unilocal is two stars. I think that’s accurate. You would never come here unless you have business or are staying nearby. And even then you have better options in the area. This Latin/Mexican fusion restaurant gives you everything from fajitas to tortas. Too bad the food isn’t great. I had the chicken and steak fajitas and they were a big, overcooked mess with soggy, oily onions and peppers. The guacamole was on that verge of starting to turn brown and was flavorless and unpalatable. We had a group of people and the kitchen completely missed one order. The one bright spot here is the staff. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. I don’t know why they don’t go someplace that has better food so they could make more money.
