I will always be eternally grateful to Dr. Kercher for literally giving me back my mobility. He returned to me the full use back of my hamstring — something that no one thought would be possible. He is an amazing, caring and talented doctor. We are very fortunate to have him in Atlanta. Late this winter, I slipped in my garage and had a complete hamstring evulsion. In other words, I completely tore off all of my hamstring muscles from my pelvis. The pain was unimaginable — I was unable to sit or stand in any way. And, I was told that I would need to undergo a major surgery — and very soon. Several physicians told me that, in the best case, I would be lucky to get 50% — 75% back of my hamstring use. My husband quickly made dozens of phone calls through the two days looking for a qualified surgeon for this very rare condition. Despite the horrendous pain, we delayed the surgery determined to find the best surgeon possible. We finally discovered Dr. James Kercher — a highly respected orthopaedic — strongly recommended by many of the top physicians we found. We called his office, and they moved around his schedule so that we could immediately meet him. He decided to schedule my surgery early the day after and decided to come in 2 hours early to help me even though he had a full day of surgeries ahead. He and his incredible Physician Assistant were so wonderful to me and my husband — they also walked us through the chore of quickly preparing for surgery. I was beyond grateful because the pain was just about unbearable. After the surgery, I literally woke up at peace, and I knew it was a complete success. Everything just felt right. It was unbelievable. I had an amazing recovery due to an amazing surgeon. Today, only 8 months later, I am able to jog and exercise with virtually no issues. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kercher!!!

I’m sure Dr Kercher is an excellent surgeon but if you have a less significant injury he doesn’t seem to care much. Unfortunately his wait times are also excessive at an hour and twenty minutes.
