I have been with Dr. McDaniel approximately 15 years. I was five minutes late for my physical appointment. It took the girl the front desk 10 minutes to verify my insurance. She called my name and told me that Dr Mcdaniel will not be able to see me(because I was late and it took time to verify insurance) as his schedule is too tight. It had taken me a month and a half to get in to see him! Needless to say, I am looking for another Doctor!

This is quite sad. I’ve been going to Dr McDaniel for 5 years, and the few times I saw him, he was fantastic. The disappointing part is that most of the time that you call, you’re going to be on hold for around an hour, then they’re going to tell you that it’ll be a month before you can see him. At that point, you’re going to get offered to see a RN. I’m sorry, but holding for an hour, only to get told that I have to wait over 30 days to see him in his actual flesh is massively disappointing. I had thought that I found my ‘keeper’ doctor, but I’m going to have to move on. Getting hung up on when i incredulously asked ‘is this a normal wait time?!’ didn’t help either.

I’ve been a patient of Jeff McDaniel for around 10 years, since moving to Atlanta. He’s a wonderful doctor and the practice is well run… rarely a wait. Dr. McDaniel is the kind of doc who actually listens to you and explains things in layman’s terms. He is not at all offended by questions(some doctors behave as if you should just go along with whatever they say). He stays on top of the latest research and is well informed. And I never feel like he’s rushing me out the door. My only beef is minor… his office uses those $#! killer automatic blood pressure cuffs(but then, practically everyone does these days).

I went to a previous doctor for way too long, I was being lazy and just never got around to finding a new doctor until I was just fed up enough to do something about it. My best friend recommended her doctor, and that was good enough for me. I packed up my entire history with my previous doctor and set my course for a new one, hoping to get a little better treatment for that copay I was constantly shelling out just to get a refill on my asthma inhaler! Dr. McDaniel was everything I had hoped for– understanding, ready to figure out what was wrong with you, pacifys your fears, and he wasn’t trying to stick you for all the money you had! My new doctor said he would never make me come in just to get a refill on a prescription for something I needed such as my inhaler. I just call his office, ask them to shoot a new refill to my local CVS, and bam! It’s all done– and I didn’t have to drive clear across town just to get a stinking piece of paper(and pay a copay for just being there!) When I went to Dr. McDaniel I asked him to do a full blood workup to make sure that I was healthy– he even did special tests because of my veganism to make sure I was getting everything I need. My old doctor looked at me like I was nuts for requesting that! I got a clean bill of health and I was finally at ease knowing that I am in perfect health and not lacking anything. He is easy to get appointments with and they will work you in when you have a minor emergency. I love my new doctor and I am so glad I finally got off my butt and got a new one!
