John Marshall Law School

I’ve seen this place since forever and finally went for a function.
No big deal; there is a meeting venue on Spring Street that we used that was kind of cramped for the number of people that were there.
Parking is in a paid lot nearby — which kind of sucks.

While John Marshall Law School has been around since the early 1900’s, it hasn’t been your traditional law school until recently. With its first traditional classes making their way out the door of academia and into the real world, John Marshall’s name and reputation are finding the quick boost it needs to showcase the talent it is producing.
How do I compare John Marshall with my other Academic Experiences? It is tough to overcome my experience at Notre Dame, but John Marshall is unique and excellent in its own right. First, it is ONLY a law school. While we all drank, partied, and did other debaucherous things as undergrads, and perhaps grad students, the real world is upon us and professionalism is of the utmost importance. John Marshall offers an environment where the distractions don’t exist. Coeds don’t frolic about, the campus isn’t a frenzy in football or basketball season, the excesses of large campus life don’t flaunt themselves within feet of your learning. No, at John Marshall you are privy to the benefits of learning from an incredibly experienced staff that is able to offer you personal attention. You are surrounded by fun students who all understand the importance of a studying and maintaining a well-​balanced academic lifestyle. There aren’t many opportunities to fall off track with distractions that exist at other campuses. Opportunities do exist, however, to be highly involved. There are numerous activities available at John Marshall that simply are not afforded to students at other universities. When I weighed all of the factors between John Marshall and other schools, I was nervous to choose John Marshall, because I wasn’t sure it would live up to the way it was branded. I closed my eyes and leapt, though. Thankfully, this was the perfect decision. Everything I’ve been promised has, indeed, been fulfilled. Soon it will be time for me to make my mark on the world as a proud John Marshall grad. (Side note: John Marshall’s moot court team defeated my alma mater, Notre Dame, in competition… blah/​yay.)
