Journey Performing Arts Center

«When you move to Atlanta, you’re going to gain 20 pounds from all the good eatin!» So I’ve been warned. But this transplant has a plan – dance it all off! Fortunately, my close friend Samara Michelle is the founder and Artisitic Director of Journey Performing Arts Center. This intimate dance studio has offerings for adults and kids, ranging from basic ballet for the little ones to spicy Exotic Burlesque for the mamas! A crowd favorite is the Relax and Release on Mondays and Wednesdays which features a candlelit session of yoga, pilates, ballet moves and ab work to stretch, strengthen and tone.
Another thing that’s unique is Journey is a 501©3 organization, which allows them to contribute outreach services to Atlanta youth and expose them to the arts. So not only can you get to look good here, you can feel good too by donating or taking classes here that allow Journey to continue their mission. So lucky for me, my plan for fighting the ATL 20 just happens to be one that’s just as fun as a good meal!
