Very good food. Had the Falafel Gyro, and it was amazing! The orzo salad was very good as well. And served with a hearty welcome! Highly recommend!

The flavors are absolutely wonderful but the portions are not worth the price. The lamb burger is delicious but the Patty is super thin for 9+ bucks Plus the menu said Romaine when what came on it was clearly shredded iceberg, I think they could do better. Got a large iced chai and it was mostly ice for 4+ bucks, and the spanakopita is absolutely lovely but again pricing and portion do not match. They are lovely addition to the neighborhood but they either need to adjust their portions or the prices, because there are plenty of Greek restaurants in town who’s flavors are equally good but the portions are fitting to what is paid.

Met friends here for coffee and an evening brekkie date. I ordered the breakfast plate and a café au lait. Tasty food and very good coffee. My dining companions didn’t care for the biscuits that came with the breakfast plate, but I actually thought they weren’t bad at all! The hash browns were a little soggy, but the delicious, fluffy scrambled cheese eggs and excellent coffee made up for it! It’s quite a cozy establishment that even has outdoor seating, and couches with a nice view near the front. I plan to visit again in the future if I’m on that side of town again!

This place was great. Ordered takeout from here. Got two gyros, Greek salad, grape leafs and a whole bunch of dessert! So good. Staying at hotel close to airport and it was only a 5 minute drive or less. Nice dining room and outside seating if you want to eat there too. Everyone liked their food.

Hummus on a bagel? Sounded weird but tasted amazing! This vegan had no problems finding something to eat on a Saturday morning. The coffee is probably the best coffee I had during my 7 week stay in Atlanta — I wish I had discovered this place sooner! My husband enjoyed his tofu scramble bowls(yep, he went back for a second bowl because the first was so delicious).

We were initially intending to go another restaurant down the road but the wait time there was atrocious. We popped into Kafenio instead — adorable restaurant with plentiful seating and superb fast service. I gobbled up a gyro salad, which was refreshing and tasty. I will definitely be back!

Great little treasure on Main St Historic College Park for a good hearty Greek meal or a delicious snack and a choice of good beers and drinks. UPDATE Stopped in for breakfast and loved the Breakfast Bowl and the Achilles Omelette. Lolling forward to exploring the whole menu

We love this place! The lamb burger is out of this world! Orzo salad, fantastic. A must in College Park.

My wife ordered the lamb burger. When our food arrived I realize that I made a mistake by not ordering the same thing. My salad was delicious but her Lamb burger was amazingly good. The service was great and we will go back again soon.

This place is great for a quick and light meal close to the airport, which is ~10 min away. The service is fast and friendly. I had the grilled chicken wrap, which was large and full of their great tzatziki sauce. Kafenio has some craft beers too. Be careful of the limited parking — it can get difficult to get in and out of the spots in front of the restaurant.

On my way out of Atlanta, we decided to meet here for breakfast and what a wonderful place to stop prior to my flight. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food. I had the French toast and a cup of coffee. The coffee was fabulous and rich. LOVELOVE a great cup of Joe in the morning. The French toast arrived with bananas and warm syrup. It was simply delicious. The brioche bread was thick and the coating was yummy! The restaurant is a welcomed addition to the area having really only Thumbs Up as a breakfast joint for a long time. The food is delicious, the service is spot on and the ambience is simply wonderful! Yay a new breakfast place in the East Point/College Park area.

3.5 for the greek food and 5 for the coffee, so I am giving them a 4 overall. The gyro wraps are great, but I wish they’d cut the tomato slices down to size, as it creates a few giant bites that get pretty messy. The fries are the best side of the three options, but as they’re standing in for greek potatoes, I wish they’d offer to serve them with tzatziki sauce.(The slaw is sort of bland, and I’ve never been a huge fan of orzo pasta). It’s definitely less greasy and has more of a cute café vibe than other greek spots in the area, which is a plus in my book. The staff has always been very friendly, and the food comes pretty quickly. Definitely a good spot for lunch and the latte to go is always a great grab before heading back to the office!

Such a quaint hidden gem. Great service, great food. This should be on your map. I really am impressed with what they’ve done here in College Park and I’ll certainly be back. So much better than some other chain place. We should be sure to support places like this in our community. It was all the better since I didn’t expect it to be so great

Uhhhhhh. What can I say? I was really routing for this place. I believe the other reviewers when they say the food is great but my breakfast here wasn’t so hot. I had an omelet with gyro meat, feta cheese and tomato I believe. It was hard to love. The eggs were spongy and overlooked. It comes with a biscuit and grits. The biscuit was unique, much more dense than a regular biscuit but still pretty good. The grits however were not okay. Had a really weird taste to it, my guess was sour cream was blended in and they were pretty soupy. My breakfast buddy got an egg & cheese on biscuit which he enjoyed. And finally, other reviewers have raved out their coffee so how did I end up with the weakest cup in the world??? It was horrible! I’m willing to try again for dinner or lunch since others have had good experiences.

I have not been to this area in about 6mo so when I found it on Unilocal only a mile from Hotel Indigo I immediately went drove there. I ordered take out but it’s a comfortable place, designed well. I was hungry and ordered the baked feta and dolmathes app: feta was imported from Greece and delicious, dolmathes were very tasty too. The Greek salad with chicken was a good portion with fresh ingredients. The tomatoes were delicious, I could’ve eaten those by themselves. The chicken wrap was also perfectly sized with generous servings of chicken. The owner, Johnny, was very nice to speak with too and I look forward to going back!

I am so glad I found this place. I was looking for a quiet spot to grab a snack and kill some time before meeting up with a friend. Kafenio totally hit the spot. I mean, I was just looking for some wifi and a quick snack. I quickly learned that Kafenio is much more than just a coffee shop. They’ve got breakfast all day on the menu. And sandwiches. And spanikopita. And gyros. And yes, coffee, and a few baked goods, including some really killer-looking baklava. John(the owner) was behind the register. He took my order and knowingly pointed me towards an electrical outlet. I got down to work and my breakfast sandwich soon arrived. I had the Zeus(basically a Bagel — BLT with a fried egg and some cream cheese to boot). Delicious. I must have another someday. Kafenio is laid back and comfortable. No pretense. Just good food. And friendly service. What else do you need? Holler if I’ll see you there.

Joined a couple co-workers for lunch today, and they suggested Kafenio, with the ringing endorsement that it’s awesome and they’d been going 2 or 3 times a week since it opened. With those high expectations, it did not disappoint. Granted, it’s only based on 1 visit, but I was wowed. Overall, Kafenio is a nicely decorated, «fast-casual» greek joint — order at the counter and the food comes quickly. As a first timer, I went with the most basic of orders — the Gyro Wrap, with the greek slaw. I love Gyros, and this Gyro was simply the best Gyro I’ve ever had. I’m a very experienced cook, and it’s rare that I encounter something that I don’t have an idea on how to improve it. I really don’t know how to make this Gyro better. It’s just fantastic. And the slaw was excellent — unique and delicious. Service was very friendly in addition to fast. Edit: I’ve been back to Kafenio a few times since my original review, and I’m adjusting the rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. Don’t get me wrong, Kafenio is still excellent and I definitely recommend it, and while I have enjoyed everything I’ve had, I haven’t been«wowed» since my first visit, and I don’t take give out 5 stars lightly.
