Needed to do some pre-game grocery shopping. Since this Kroger is a bit closer than the Edgewood Kroger, thought we’d do our Krogering here; we were in a bit of a hurry. There is not much to say in the way of positive comments, except the staff was friendly. And it stops there. The sacks of potatoes were all, and I mean all, spoiled with a swarm of flies around them. The«fresh» asparagus were water-logged and nasty, soggy and gross. The isles are narrow and messy. There is not a lot in the way of international variety. Your options are Latin or Asian. The frozen food section was under stocked and again berg messy. They had some good deals on the meat, if you wanted expired beef. All in all, not the Kroger experience I expected or become accustom to. Won’t be back.

I have lived in this neighborhood for 25 years and have avoided this store for 25 years. Although it is well stocked, the checkout lines are always long. The self-check out breaks down so much that you are better off waiting in the regular line. Moreover, if you need help you are likely to have to deal with a bad or nonchalant attitude. Once An employee actually rolled Her eyes at me. I only come here when the independently run grocery in the neighborhood(Big Bear) is closed or doesn’t stock what I need.

I came to get 2 items from the deli… I have waited 20 minutes for her to cut it. There is no one else on front of me… Damn hurry up. Then she has to repeat it back to me 5 dann times. I hate coming to this damn Kroger .I wilk stick to the one at 285 Cascade.

This isn’t a Kroger for sightseeing tourists; it’s a Kroger for the locals: a «grab your groceries, pay and get the Hell out» kind of place. It’s the best grocery store in the area, complete with a: barber shop, beauty supply store, custom frame shop, jewelry stand and Bank of America branch. The grocery selection and bakery is decent; the produce section is improving and they’ve included a small natural foods section. It’s one of the best Krogers I’ve come across. However, it’s been a «work in progress» for the past five years. Hence, the 3 stars. Pros: Location Price Standard Quality Food Items Cons: Location(Gets sketchy at night. Act like you«belong» and you’ll be ok.) Standard Quality Food Items(No «A» for Effort @ this Kroger)
