This was a really interesting experience, but kinda fun none the less. So it’s straight Spanish music before 1am and then they start mixing in hiphop. 107.9 promotes the place on Thursdays and the DJ that hosts it seems really cool! The crowd is cultural diverse and it seems like everyone goes there to turn up! It’s a fun time in that local bar sense. and u can get a bottle of grey goose for $ 125… «where they do that at??» RUMBA lol. Their lemon pepper wings are pretty good too. It’s a dry rub that reminds me of the ones from Uptown comedy club. I was a little less than happy with the door service though. Security has no idea what the procedure is for«vip» table reservations. I purchased tickets early and had a table but still waited in the general admin line… for about 20 minutes after I mentioned the reservation. I would’ve walked away had I not dragged other ppl out with me. Oh, and their guest DJ didn’t arrive until 2AM so I wouldn’t go there expecting that. Our waitress, Loren, was pretty awesome tho. Very cool(Pretty girl too btw). I’d go back to see her! :-) :-).

Latin Dance club with a fusion of Hip-Hop, Electronic, and Top 40 music with very diverse DJs. Best nights are Thursdays(casual attire) and Saturdays(party attire). Open as a Mexican buffet during daytime. Thursdays are more urban with plenty of celebrity music guests throughout the month. It’s free til 12am, they offer unlimited free wings til 11:30, and free hookah for groups of 5 or more ladies til 1am. They have a bottle special that’s incredible on Thursdays, premium bottles starting at $ 100. You can’t beat that price at any place with Atlanta in the address. Usually a late crowd, expect a normal Thursday crowd to arrive at 1am. Bar open til 3am, closes at 3:30am. Fridays is more of an older crowd and they play a lot more Latin music than the other nights. There’s complimentary Salsa classes by Salsambo Dance School from 10 — 11pm. Ladies are free all night on Fridays. Fridays you don’t need to purchase bottle service to get a table or booth, which makes it a little easier on the wallet if you’re with a smaller group. Later on in the night the DJs switch it up into a more party music and less Latin music. Overall a great environment. Bar open til 3am, closes at 3:30am. Saturdays is by far their busiest night. Crowd starts arriving at 11:30pm, packed by 1am, as opposed to the other nights that folks start piling in at the time. Saturday night the dress code is enforced, guys aren’t allowed to have athletic gear or plain t-shirts. Collared shirts are preferred, even though they let certain situations slide if the outfit looks presentable. All tables are bottle service only on Saturday. Latin music dominates the early part of the night, but quickly changes to a mash-up of Hip-Hop, Electronic, and EDM trap music around 1am. It’s not the place you stand around a table and look cool. Everyone is partying, everyone’s jumping up and down, you need to join in or at least appreciate others having a great time to really enjoy the scene. Bar open til 3am, closes at 3:30am. Management genuinely cares about your comfort, even though they’re working with an older building and it’s time for a renovation of some of the tables and chairs. Overall, considering location, price, service — Rumba wins at what the other nicer/fancier clubs fail at: achieving a great, friendly party environment without breaking the bank.

You just got to be here at the right time. The music is greatttttt, very versatile. Bachata mirengue salsa hiphop reggae reggaeton emd. I went here on a friday, about 1130pm. I’d good back because of the music. The crowd here is just so stiff. Everyone here is are most likely here with their soulmate lol. It willll beee emptyyy till about 1am o. O im going to post some info through pictures. && at like 230am, there was a good amount of people but for some reason like 95% of the club was sitting down LOL o. O & its wasnt like the music was bad. Thats what had me so confused. But again, i really believe this club is for couples. Club has a decent setting too.

Pretty nice to me. It’s been years since I’ve been here, but visited just recently and pretty great.(Thursday Night was packed from what I saw last night) Management is awesome! The place has great security as well.

There is absolutely no reason at all to patronize this place. Management/owners are downright idiotic. If there is some legitimate reason for their lack of intelligence, then I apologize.

My girlfriends and I arrived at 12am, which we thought was a pretty reasonable time to go. But no, it was DEAD! First off, la rumba is in a food plaza so I already questioned it’s ambience. But hey, it’s Thursday and my girls are under 21 so I went to whatever we could find. I don’t come to ATL much so I trusted their judgement. They’d never been here either though haha. La rumba has a big dance floor which is great, except no one was dancing. There were lots of youngins sitting on the tables cause they also serve food. It wasn’t the nicest club, it looked like a cafeteria with a big dance floor and a bar, honestly. So we dipped to go to a hookah bar. We came back 2 hours later because it was on the way and someone told us that it apparently gets packed at 1. Sure enough… That joint was poppin! It was PACKED. the only thing I didn’t like was the ambience. The DJ played rap all night, not even any top 40s to dance to. Just straight rap. La rumba is too ghetto for my taste on a Thursday night. I also felt like there were too many youngins…

The dance club itself is just… well nothing special. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays they play Latin music and hiphop. Lots and lots of 16 to 21 year olds. 16 year old girls get snuck in a lot. Lots of underage drinking. Other then that, their buffet on Sundays is good. $ 15+ per person for their lunch buffet on Sundays. Last time we went, the floors were still sticky, and the bathrooms smelled like piss. And we found hair in the mole(a dish made with chocolate and chili peppers and chicken). Other then that bad experience, the food is overall pretty good.

This was my first time going to La Rumba on account of my fiancees cousins bday. She reserved a VIP bday package which was are on section for up to ten people with a bottle if liquor and a cake compliments of the club. This was on a Friday so ladies were free all night and men up till 12. The club is an 18+ club but of course 21+ to drink. The liquors and mixed drinks are priced as expected and the shots are a little pricey. If your a beer drinker all beers are $ 5.00 dollars. This includes import and domestic. The DJ plays a plethora of music. Everything from meringue, bacchata, salsa to hip hop. They do have another room for other types of music but didn’t see much of it. Nice size dance floor, waitresses are really nice and make ordering easy. They are open from 10pm to 4am and I will be definitely attending this place again.

I went here for lunch with my mom the other day. We went at 1:00pm on a weekday for their lunch buffet. The place was pretty empty, there was only one other couple there. I was craving mexican food so this place totally hit the spot! Their lunch buffet is $ 7.99 which I think is pretty reasonable. There was a good variety of foods, including a made to order quesadilla station. I’ll be back.

Sticky carpet floors, cigarettes burns on the toilet paper holder, Mexican Grannies making fresh tortillas, buffet trays full of authentic Mexican home cooking… HANGOVERCURE! I did not have a hang over when I ate here, but that did cross my mind as I filled a bowl up with some Menudo soup! They had a wide variety of Mexican comfort foods: — Chicken Enchiladas in a green sauce — Noples(Cactus) with Pork: MUSTHAVE, DUH – licious! Tender pork, with strips of cactus, in a flavorful sauce. — Mole Chicken — Pozole Soup — Mendudo — Salad bar, with standard salad fixings, nothing out of the ordinary — Seafood cerviche There was lots of stuff, but a girl can only eat so much! Lots of main dishes, and several other soups that I didn’t mention. Fresh made quesadillas too! I enjoyed everything, including the sticky floors! The soups could’ve of been warmer, for soup. I would go back, and I was told my Mexi girlfriends that brought me here, «ONLYCOMEONTHEWEEKENDS!» So, you’ve been warned! Thank you, drive thru.

Worst place ever! Talked politely to the bouncer about letting my friend in(who was a bit drunk) and was told to «shut the f*ck up!» And was pushed out in front of everybody. How can you hire people like this? FYI. It was the fat bald ligh-skinned guy. Would not recommend this place to anybody. Spend your money elsewhere. I’m sorry for me being so straight forward but all of this was unacceptable. I understand if you do not let an intoxicated person in but do not treat your other customers in that disrepectful manner!

This was definitely one of the more random and interesting experiences of my life. I came here with a rather diverse party consisting of Mexican, Dominican Republican, Ghanaian/British, and white friends. We arrived at La Rumba around 12:45 am after a failed attempt at going to Whiskey Blue and any other swanky bar in the city(mainly because everything had closed already on Sunday night). Before parking, my Mexican friend warned all of us that this is a really dangerous place where we should try not to offend anyone unless if we want to get shot. Last time he was there, his friend got arrested. That put the rest of us on edge from the start. In fact, we nearly walked away when we heard the cover charge was $ 10 at the door. Inside, La Rumba was dead until 2 am. In the meantime, my white friend felt extremely uncomfortable as he noted that he had never been flicked off so many times before in one night.(As a side note, the aforementioned white friend is a polite and handsome Southern gentleman.) My other friends seemed to be having a blast but they were arguably drunk. Not my cup of tea. But at least I didn’t get shot or kidnapped.

This place is great for a fun night out. While they have a variety of musical styles ranging from merenge, bachata, salsa, hip hop, reggeaton, and top 40s, please keep in mind that especially on the weekends, this is a night-club and they play mostly songs that will attract that audience. So no, there aren’t a lot of Salsa songs played if you think you’ll get to put those lessons to good use. But it is fun nonetheless, and if you know salsa you’ll get a good two or three songs to show off your expertise. It really picks up after 11am and is usually crazy packed by 1am. Personally one of my favorite nightclubs in Atlanta because the latin music is a nice break from the constant hip hop you find everywhere. Definitely recommend!(Also they a bar and lots of good food if you don’t want to dance the whole night… but lets be real!)

As a first-time visitor to Atlanta I want to offer some important information for those looking for salsa. I’ve only been to La Rumba one time and it was on a Saturday. I arrived at opening time and got to check out the club before it was packed wall-to-wall with 18 and older crowd(but not THAT much older). I’m a grown man and, although I don’t mind dancing with younger women, it is nice to have options. I danced a few nice salsas(on the floor alone) with a lovely young lady in her mid-20s, but that was essentially the end of the salsa and the reggaeton, bachata, merengue and hip-hop onslaught began. This is not the place for you if you are looking for salsa or cha cha cha. If you like a heavy helping of bachata, reggaeton, merengue and hip hop, then this IS the place for you. A couple of the managers(James & Corey) and the bouncers were exceptionally nice. In fact, when I realized a couple hours in that this was not quite what I was looking for, they were kind enough to recommend a spot by the name of Coco Cabana, which sounds like a more mature set and offers lessons and more the mix of music I was looking for. Lastly, I want to comment on the name confusion. This particular place goes by many names ‘La Rumba’, ‘Pachanga’, ‘La Rumba 2′ or, as it appears on the building, just ‘Rumba’. For the record, the original Rumba closed and was reopened at another location under new management and a short-lived new name ‘Pachanga’. The name was changed back to Rumba, hence the La Rumba 2 designation you will often hear.

This place is now called La Pachanga. Not sure if the name changed or if La Rumba closed and this place popped up in its place immediately afterwards. I drove by the place often but have not yet been inside.

I loved this place! This was the first place I ventured out to in Atlanta with my younger brother and I was impressed for an 18 and over club. there were people of all ages there and the place had a huge dance floor! Can I also mention the«scenery» was quite nice. My brother and I both found lots of dance partners. The DJ spun salsa, bachata, merengue, regaeton and more. Lots of fun. The place also stays open until 4am. The only downsides… no cups of water you have to buy bottled and valet is pretty much your only parking option. But overall a great evening. I’ll be back

I’ve been here twice. Once during the week when it was pretty dead(we started out here so i guess it was still early), that let me see the décor of the place which is decent I like the little booth areas around the dance floor with the wispy curtains and lights etc. The dance floor is really big. It’s sort of non descript on the outside and actually registers on google maps as a mexican restaurant. They had 2 DJs here on a saturday night, we got comped through and I had a great time. Tables were full, but there was some room to hang out near the bar if you didn’t want to dance. BUTWHYWOULDN’T YOUDANCE?! They played a great mix of music, not just latin dance, and the floor was packed. Like, gyrating against other people’s butts packed. Some night that’s exactly what you want. oh boy. Anyway, I’ll definitely come back here.

The club sits in between a shopping strip dominated by Vietnamese businesses. We arrived at 12 and had complementary valet parking, tipping was encouraged by the flirty valet boys. This place doesn t party hardy until around 1. If you’d like a table, you have to have min $ 20 drinks/person, so they say. This is the 2nd Latin Club I have been to and I like it alright. Unlike Loca Luna’s it’s definitely a real-deal Hispanic club. It was fun being the only Asian girl there. There is definitely some booty dancing, American music, but they have real deal Hispanic music too. So you’ll see couples doing the rumba, salsa, other Hispanic dances I don’t know the name of, etc. It was a fun experience hanging with my chicas.
