Lock To Pop 24 Hour Locksmith

Never call this business.
I was in a pretty desperate situation, and that is exactly how I was treated, like a desperate woman who needed help who would easily be taken advantage of.
I had been calling (from an apartment complex) for anyone who would pop my car door open, because I locked my keys AND my phone in the car. I could not promise that my apartment would answer the phone, so companies didn’t want to work with me.
Since my boyfriend and I had a credit card, the company allowed us to pre-​pay and then they would come out to us. This was REALLY uncomfortable (what if they never show up?) but we appreciated it because other companies would not come out unless I had a call back number. I had no other choice.
Long story short. After being told 45 minutes (fair enough Atlanta), I waited three hours! At an hour and 15 minutes, I called. They called him on the other line, and told me he was pulling up any minute or so. By the way, I am also begging people in a MARTA deck to let me use their phone — embarrassing. I called again. He should be there any minute. I called again. Still should be there soon.
EVERY TIME I called, they said the locksmith would call me when he got there. Darn it! I don’t have a phone, but of course they did not relay that to the man, or at least he said they didn’t.
I was so worried that they had just stolen our money (which of course we would just call the credit card company to fight) but even worse, left me there, with no hope, needing to call someone else and waiting for even longer. They had no reason to show up. But to tell you the truth, I think they purposely waited to pull into the garage so that they could make me more desperate. This was one of those REALLY hot days too that we recently had in the high 90s.
Finally my boyfriend finds him sitting outside of the MARTA deck, trying to call the phone that is locked in the car. No apology. Looks at the car. Tells me $ 165. What?!?
I was told $ 25 to drive out there and $ 25 to open it. They said that they said that was the starting price. Where I messed up was saying that the price was fine, and that I just want them to come out. They knew I was desperate. Even if that is the starting price, and there is an upchrage because of my car, I knew I was getting scammed. I had seen my car door being opened years before, and it takes less than a minute.
After fighting and fighting with the people on the phone (locksmith’s phone), we gave up and said nevermind. Finally they called back and offered us a $ 20 discount, that’s it.
So $ 145ish and less than two minutes later, they opened my door. Like cake.
Oh and of course the whole time, the locksmith and the company are talking in an African language so that we cannot understand what they are saying. The locksmith acts like he is the nice guy the whole time, and he ‘just works for the guy.’ We get your system. Yes, you took advantage of us. No it’s not ok. You need to reconsider your morals.
