Solid pizza. I was the sole person there, ordered a to-go from the counter. Came out pretty quick. Expensive, but filling. May or may not try again, nothing to write home about, tons of competition in the area, especially with Fellinis down the street.

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday at about 2:15PM. I had a Gyro sandwich with chips and an unsweetened iced tea. The server was very good however the Gyro was fair. The pita bread used was too thick. There was not enough meat and onions were old/too strong. The food was served on a Mela mine type plate that was not cleaned well with a few chips sparingly placed on it with the Gyro. I wound up spending almost $ 14(including a two dollar tip) and left hungry. I will not be back mostly because it is way overpriced. I felt like this was maybe a six dollar meal at best.

Party of about 15 people for a birthday dinner. Ordered a personal pizza, and it was made incorrectly. The server was so nice, and took very good care of the table. She advised the manager, also the owner. She told the server it was made correctly. I ordered the jerk chicken, and they used buffalo chicken, including the sauce. It was terrible with the white sauce, and I advised the server, she apologized and told the owner/manager, told her that it was made the way I ordered it, and she refused to do anything about it, and charged me full price. Terrible business practice… very easy to see why there is never anyone there.

Decided to grab dinner here after stopping at the grocery store. I see it all the time since it is near my house but never tried it. I was shocked to walk in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and not see any customers. I found that strange but tried to give them the benefits of doubt. For the record three more tables came in during my 30 minutes there. The waitress was friendly. Menu is basically just pizza and calzones. I decided to get their special of the day which was lasagna with a side salad and garlic bread. Food came out pretty fast. The lasagna flavor was good but it was not really lasagna that you’d expect from a restaurant. I assume they made each order at a time. there were several pieces of cooked lasagna noodles surrounded by tomato(pizza sauce), cheese, and ground meat. The garlic bread was half a hoagie roll cut open. It was seasoned very well though. This place seems like a mom and pop operation. Service was good and the food was decent. Not bad but not anything to write home about. I will go back to try their pizza.

This pizza was subpar. I shared a pepperoni pizza with my friend and we both were a little disappointed. It tasted like cardboard with no flavor. I felt like I needed to add salt to pizza and that’s pretty interesting. I came one time and that was enough for me. My friend came on another occasion and he even said that it just wasn’t good pizza. While there, there weren’t a lot of people coming in and out or even dining in.

I am tickled that I actually went to this place the first few times — before I was even an OG Atlanta Unilocaler! Hadn’t realized that means I had not been in almost 10 years before last night! Time flies… I remember having had quite solid pizza there years ago and the prices are still v reasonable for the same good pizza. I like that they do slices every day, all day since that’s a way I’m likely to go v getting a whole pizza. Good prices($ 2.05 + 0.50 — I think– for add’l toppings; they also have weekday deals) and generous sizes. I’d compare MN to Fellini’s — comparable in taste and style. Last night I went with a basic spinach calzone and it was perfect– incredibly hot, lots of mozz and ricotta and am impressive amount of spinach. And most importantly, delicious; the side of marinara was tasty and obviously homemade. I am intrigued by the gyro(because it’s on a pizza joint’s menu, mainly) so will have to check that out soon. Super NPWH(the young lady at the register is a trip) — it’s good to know that a casual, family-run place is still going strong in these parts.

Average food, but last time I was here a server screamed and walked out after quitting. No apology from management as one chased her. Have encountered rude service there before from management and seen nothing but rotating staff. Like supporting smaller businesses, but even with a Scout mob, they are obviously usually empty for a reason.

Not bad pizza, not great but good, service was great, very nice young man. Kinda home like, very relaxed, clean, tv, music. Great for the chill factor after work. Cold beer that’s a plus. So rock in. Rock out. Enjoy

Used a Scoutmob deal to get 50% off here. On a Thursday night, it was pretty empty until about 20 Georgia Tech frat boys came in. Cheap pitchers of beer… like $ 8 pitcher of PBR. No wine or liquor though… Pizza took about 10 minutes to come out. The personal size was plenty big for me and I took half of it home. Reasonably priced at about $ 11 for a personal size.

We’ve passed this restaurant for years and never went in. Scoutmob got our attention and we decided to check it out. I can’t speak for the whole menu, but the Greek Pizza is delicious. I also had a big warm chocolate chip cookie that was a nice treat for dessert. Their customer service and overall décor could be a little better, but it has a nice neighborhood-pizza-joint feel, and the food was better than we thought. We’d definitely dine there again.

We originally found this restaurant on Scoutmob(50% off your meal) so we decided to give it a try, not knowing what to expect. When we walked in, there was a sign with the daily special. The special was lasagna for $ 7.95 which sounded so good that I decided to try it. When I first saw the entrée, I was a little disappointed because it looked like a giant plate of tomato sauce with some meat and cheese sprinkled on the top. It was actually a lot better than it looked and it came with garlic bread on the side! This restaurant is a little old and probably not as kept up as it should be but for lunch, it isn’t so bad. I considered it a great place for a mid-day snack! They have other things on the menu such as pizza and gyros. The gyro actually looked very good! They have plenty of TVs and plenty of room for large parties. I’d say this place is great for people of all ages. If you’re in the area, take a look and see what they have to offer.

This place looks like there has been zero investment into it. It looks old and ragged on the inside. If you can get past the décor, the food is not too bad. I had the Gyro Wrap. Gyro Meat on a grilled Pita Bread with tzatziki sauce, iceburg lettuce, red Onions, and roma Tomatoes. Not too bad but I would say that a festival/carnival has a better gyro wrap than here. If you’re in the area and looking for something quick to eat and cheap(It’s on ScoutMob), give it a shot. If you’re looking for a good Gyro, don’t go here. I would imagine that Pizza should be good considering it’s a pizza place but who knows!

What I saw when I paid my ticket and left has me rethinking where the food we ordered even came from. Arrived here for a work lunch, and we all had ‘personal pizzas’. Most ordered either the ‘Meat Special’, or ‘House Special’ and I ordered the ‘BBQ Chicken’. The chicken pizza was over done and not very flavorful. If I had not just paid for it I would have trashed it. I did try a slice of ‘Meat Special’ and it was not quite as bad as the ‘BBQ Chicken’. Overall no where I would think about going for pizza in the future. About halfway through, our waitress disappeared. Eventually we got up and went to the counter to pay our checks. As we do we see our waitress arrive with a Kroger bag from the Kroger next door. Among the items brought in were 2-Liter bottles of soda, and a box of lasagna, the days ‘special’. I watched as she discarded the bag, took the lasagna out of the box and put it in the oven. So, either she wanted lunch and their lasagna was not good enough — or they are vastly overcharging for warmed up Kroger lasagna.

I’ve been here twice and had the meatball parmesan sub both times. Couldn’t not get it again! It tastes like what I used to get back home in New Jersey. Love it! It’s a pretty big place but not a well discovered secret yet in my opinion. I think it’s family run and they’re super nice. Make the trip, it’ll be worth it!

We were greeted with a very unwelcoming vibe and strange looks when we entered. After we were seated, my husband got up to go to the restroom. The gentleman who had looked at us strangely when we walked through the door, came from in front of the pizza oven to walk around the corner and watch my husband as he walked to the back of the restaurant. As we had already ordered our drinks, we decided that we would pay for them and move on to another eatery.

I am surprised that this doesn’t have better reviews. I have eaten here twice, and both times were really great. We placed our order in the store, picked up a few things at Kroger, and picked up our pizza to eat at home. The crust is made by them(not frozen!) and the tomato sauce and cheese are high quality. The pizza is not greasy, so I didn’t feel gross after eating it. The prices are a little bit expensive, but I think the high quality pizza is worth the extra money.

Ga Tech alumni already know this place makes some noteworthy pizza. I might even say it’s an under-appreciated thing as far as pizza goes. Good stuff. Greek influences. Yummy. For some reason, today I made a departure from the pizza thing and tried the gyro. I was not disappointed. They’ll do a gyro with beef, chicken, or «gyro meat.» I took the gyro meat. It was tasty. Prep-time was quick. And the portion wasn’t out-of-control big. I think I’m going to have to explore more of the Greek side of this menu. Holler if you’re coming with.

Mama Niki was there when I went; however, I didn’t see any of the family drama issues in the dining area(as others have witnessed) nor did I witness any of the Georgia Tech crowd hanging out, eating pizza or drinking beer either. I did, however, feel completely underwhelmed by the food that I ordered. I ordered a gyro with a side salad(salad is two bucks extra when you substitute it for the potato chips). The salad was skimpy and lackluster and the dressing looked like it was made with a Greek Yogurt sauce base. As far as the gyro goes, not bad but I have certainly had better gyros at a dozen or so other places. The gyro meat and pita bread tasted like the pre-packaged store bought type like you can buy next door at Kroger. For this kind of meal I would be better off going to Med. Grill or Athens Pizza(just to name two of many other options). Maybe pizza and beer is really the thing to get here; however, the place was not at all crowded or busy on a Thursday at 7pm. For me this was perhaps just a one time deal, not likely to return. Maybe deserves 2.5 stars; however, I will be nice and go with three assuming this was an off night.

I came in here on a rainy day about a week ago to meet up with a buddy of mine from Valdosta. We’re both avid ScoutMob fans so we decided to check this place out since it was the closest pizza place on SM near by. When I got there the staff was pretty cool, our server took excellent care of us. The pizza, the«House Classic» wasn’t quite what I expected but loaded up with all of the different toppings(Red sauce base, Mozzarella Cheese, sliced Ham, Pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and black olives) made for quite a feast between my friend and I. The quality of the pizza is what really gets to me. The toppings have to be fresh, the bread hearty, and the sauce zesty. Mama Niki’s managed to provide decent quality bread and great sauce, however the problem I had was directly related to the toppings– possibly because of the variety or because they didn’t seem that fresh. All in all, the total bill was about $ 14 and between two people that definitely filled both of us up. I probably won’t go back anytime soon because there are so many other good places in the area for the same price.

Mama Niki’s is a solid pizza joint located in the Howell Mill Square Shopping Center(same shopping center as Kroger). Mama Niki’s has been around for as long as I can remember(early-to-mid 2000s) and it’s still going strong. I first discovered Mama Niki and her pies while I was a student at Georgia Tech. The restaurant has undergone some nice and much-needed renovations since my time as a student, but one thing has not changed — it’s still a Tech hangout. There’s a good chance Mama Niki will greet you herself when you dine here. She comes from a Greek family, so it’s no wonder that some of her best menu items are Greek-influenced. Along with most of the typical pizza joint offerings(garlic bread, house salad, pizza, calzones, and subs), you can also order items such as pita and hummus, Greek salad, and gyros. Everything is affordably priced(less than $ 10 each), though the signature pizzas are anywhere from about $ 12 to $ 24 depending on which size you get. You can, of course, build your own pizza and order by the slice, which is nice. Sizes include personal(10-inch), medium(14-inch), and large(16-inch). Topping selection is pretty decent and comparable to a place like Mellow Mushroom, where ingredients like artichoke hearts, Kalamata(Greek) olives, and sun-dried tomatoes are available. My favorite items to order at Mama Niki’s are: Parmesan pretzels «Ancient Greek» pizza Gyro wrap The Parmesan pretzels are made out of the same dough used for the pizza and are covered in garlic butter Parmesan. It’s good and filling. It’s served with a side of marinara, but the pretzel has enough flavor on its own, so it doesn’t really any sauce. The Ancient Greek pizza is one of Mama Niki’s signature pizzas. It has all the Greek favorites: olive oil, tzatziki sauce(Greek yogurt-based sauce), gyro meat, and feta cheese. The pizza also includes Roma tomatoes and is dusted with oregano. The pizza has a thick crust. The toppings are fresh and the portions are generous. I think the pizzas here tend to be on the oily side, but are still satisfying. Like the pizza, the gyros are prepared with fresh and flavorful ingredients. You can get chicken, gyro meat, or steak in your gyro. I like the gyro meat. The tzatziki sauce really makes the gyro wrap for me. The veggies(lettuce, tomato, onion) are crisp. There’s not much to speak of interior-wise. It’s a very casual place with basic booths and tables. The restaurant does have a small bar and TV. Service is generally good, though it may take several minutes for your pizza to come out since they have to prepare it from scratch. Mama Niki’s also delivers. Along with phoning in your order, you can order online and still have the full menu at your disposal. There is a $ 2 delivery charge which does not include tip.
