New York Sandwich Shop

This place is a small sub sandwich shop in the hood, but the food is absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I stopped by on a whim after receiving a recommendation from a co-​worker! We bought two sandwiches. The first was a pastrami and corned beef sandwich (hot), white American cheese, tomato, lettuce, onions, oil, and vinegar, mayo and mustard on a wheat hoagie! It was so delicious! The meat was sliced thin and had a very rich flavor. Im actually craving one now! The second sub was a polish sausage on a wheat hoagie with the same toppings. The polish was a little spicy and also phenomenal. However, the corned beef was my favorite! The staff was not that personal and lacked customer service, but for the low price I could deal! Anyways, you should definitely try it out in the day time!

Was in the area on business and needed a fast lunch with some co-​workers. Unilocal told me there was a sandwich shop nearby — what could be faster than sandwiches?
When we found the place, I believe I received some raised eyebrows from my coworkers — parking in a kind of run-​down parking lot, entering a shop with burglar bars everywhere, and a very quiet, very low-​key interior restaurant.
But, swear to God, the sandwiches were terrific, cheap, and much appreciated. We gave 3 sandwich orders to the woman behind the counter, each sandwich customized. She didn’t write anything down, and all of our orders were 100% correct.
Plus, we got out of there for less than $ 5 per person.
I would have willingly paid more than that for the same sandwich in another city (probably in another part of town, ‘cuz the rent would drive the prices). Would totally go again.

I been passing by this spot for a minute on my way to pay my Georgia power bill. I couldn’t take it any longer and I had to stop by and give it a try.
I got the pastrami sub on wheat wit mustard onions lettuce tomato and American cheese. The pastrami is thin sliced and pretty good. They have cheap ass sandwiches with a good quality that feels like you are getting value for your money.
I think this spot cool. Great prices. Good lemonade.

The Good
1. The polish was delicious and the service was fast.
2. The women who work there are really sweet. It’s a family business that has been around for about 30 years, so they seem to know how to run a business successfully. They have excellent customer service and are loyal to new and regular customers.
3. They also have homemade bundt cake, which was amazing.
4. It’s a very low key and casual place. It’s a hole in the wall located near the west end mall.

Conclusion: I was not impressed. I understand what the place was trying to execute. Very good sandwiches at low cost prices. Well they got the low cost correct but as far as the sandwich as being very good — not so much. I am a Reuben Sammich fan. It was probably one of the worse Reuben sammiches I ever had. I can make a better reuben than that. Damn, I’m taking this review personal! When you throw the sammich in the microwave to melt the Swiss — that’s a no no in the Reuben world. They have club sandwiches, Cubans, club sandwiches and more in which I think are all maybe good but from what I had, it wasn’t all that.

Sometimes you will find a jewel and this Sandwich shop is THAT JEWEL. I LOVE this place it is so delicious and makes me feel good. The bread has descendewd from the heavens while the meat has been made on the grille from heaven… Maybe not that extreme but the prices are extremely fair and the food is GREAT. Its in the heart of the west end but dont let that deter you. GOOD FOOD is GOOD FOOD. Trust me you wont want to miss it. If you dont like it hit me up and I will owe you a drink. DELICIOUS!

The sandwiches are really cheap but so good and made fresh to order. The cute korean ladies behind the counter as so polite.
This small sandwich shop has run out Quiznos across the street 4 different times. Don’t worry about the bars on the windows, this should be on diners, drive-in’s and dives!
