NTB

I recently went to this NTB location on a weekend as they were one of the few Atlanta area tire shops that was open. While everyone at the store was friendly, I still had a less than ideal experience overall and would be hesitant to return.
Had a rapidly leaking tire and went in hoping to get a simple repair, but I was told that I had a nail in the sidewall and it was not patchable and would need to be replaced. Seemed likely enough, so I agreed to get a new tire as I had to be on the road as soon as possible for a work trip and just needed something to get me going.
My car is all wheel drive (which ideally requires the same exact tire on all 4 wheels to prevent damage to the differentials/​transmission), but the salesperson insisted that it didn’t matter (even though my owners manual and just about all mechanics say otherwise). I realized that a short amount of driving on an un-​matched tire wouldn’t hurt much, but asked if there was any way they could get the same model as my other 3 so that things would be as close as possible. I was told that their warehouse did have one and that it could be there within a couple of hours, so I went with this option and caught a ride back home to wait.
After nearly 4 hours (was told it would take no more than 3), I called to check on the status and was told that the car was done even though no one ever informed me. Upon arriving, I also realized that they installed an entirely different model of tire, even after I specifically requested the same one. At this point I was out of time to even consider any other options and just dealt with using it temporarily, but it left me with a highly overpriced tire (their price was over $ 40 higher than other retailers, and their installation fee for a single tire was nearly $ 50) that I can’t really use.

I bought 2 tires here a couple months ago and had a good experience, so I decided to get my oil changed and tires rotated here today. I made an appointment and it still took an hour! Then I decided to look at my tires and make sure they were rotated, and guess what– they weren’t! They said that it’s because the tires in the back had better tread. However the tires I just bought were on the front of the car, so they just lied to my face. Don’t trust these people!
They also said my drain plug was stripped, which I believe at first, but now I just think I was scammed.

Best customer service ever! Other dealer told me I needed a new tire — they repaired the tire for $ 22!!!
Friendly and honest staff. Rare these days.

Be very careful in dealing with this location! I’m unaware of other NTB stores in Atlanta but this one tried price gouging me.
I took my car in to be serviced for an acceleration problem and was told I needed a new sensor for my engine. I was told it would cost $ 2200 to fix (labor and parts). To the employee’s credit, he suggested I take it to the dealership since I’m under warranty. I told him I would call back in the morning to update them after verifying if I was truly covered under the warranty. I decided to take it to the dealership. When I called in the next morning the manager, Curtis, convinced me to let them take one more look at the car to verify what the employee said the night before. Initially I agreed and let them have another hour to work on the car. However, after an hour’s time passed I changed my mind and had the car towed. Something didn’t feel right to me.
At the dealership the mechanic explained I didn’t need a new part but I needed a thorough cleaning of the problematic sensor and needed the fuel injector cleaned. I ended up paying less than a quarter of the price NTB quoted (I didn’t qualify for the warranty) for the cleaning and some other work I suspected needed to be done. I called NTB later the same day to ask about the process because it still didn’t sit right with me. The manager, Curtis, explained they didn’t look under the hood when I asked him; they relied solely on their diagnostic computer. I didn’t think to even ask that question the day before. I would think looking under the hood is the next step if the computer is giving you a specific code for the engine. I paid $ 100 for a diagnostic test and they did less work than the dealership! The dealership’s diagnostic test cost much less. Before this incident I’ve had fine dealings with NTB in Nashville but this experience was disappointing to say the least. It’s a shame because I no longer have confidence in their work. I won’t be returning to them again. I’m very fortunate I didn’t trust them and got a second opinion.

Had a very positive experience when I took my vehicle there a few days ago.
Was there for 4 hours and they did all this:
Replaced Serpentine Belt
New Oil
New Oil Filter
New front brake pads
New front rotors
New alternator belt
Front axle fluid flush
Decarbonation of the lines
Rotation of tires
At every step of the process someone would come get me from the waiting area, bring me to my vehicle to inspect the area they were looking at. After I got to look at it we came back into the office, ran a quote for the new added service (brakes, which I knew were shot) and that is exactly what I paid at the very end. No jerking around, no pressure to add unnecessary services.
Overall very pleasant, definitely would recommend!
The only negative was the amount of time I was there.

I called today from across the street to see how backed up they were and how much an oil change would be if I brought my own oil & filter. The guy on the phone said it was slow at the time and it would be $ 20. I drove in right after I got off the phone; literally 1 minute later. The same person from the phone said it would be an hour wait. I reminded him he said it was slow. He said a bunch of people just came in since I got off the phone — I could see the place from where I was calling from; one car entered before me and nobody was in front of me in line inside. But when I went to the waiting room it was packed. He then said that he could start on my car right away but told me to just tip the mechanic $ 20, just to help him out. I said I didn’t have any cash on me to tip, so he said that there was an ATM just down the street. (???) No; I came in for an oil change, not to hike to an ATM to help him scam $ 20 (why else would he want cash so badly). He put me in front of the line anyway, and after the change he said it would be $ 22. I said, «No, you said it was $ 20.» He said quickly, «No there’s a $ 2 shop fee I can’t do anything about that.» Sure he can; he can charge $ 20 like he quoted.
My first and last time here; too much sloppy nonsense for me.

We to this place for front brakes and 2 tires and roaters. Was suppose to have a rebate but never went through. I sent in all paper work and made copies and told me to contact the store they kept sending me to voice mail.

My entire experience was a NIGHTMARE. I came in on Thursday and told them I needed 4 tires. There was only 1 in stock so the other 3 had to be ordered. No problem. I came back the next day (Friday) at 4:15 and told them I also needed an oil change. I was told that the 3 tires came in but the tire already in stock had been «misplaced» and that I would receive the oil change for free. I told them it was a must to replace my spare tire on the front driver side and my rear passenger tire because it had a slow leak. Nearly 4 hours later, at 7:50 I was told that my car was ready. They said that my other tire would be in the next morning. When I asked about my oil change they said they misunderstood me and didn’t realize that I wanted one that day and the rear passenger tire with the leak that I specifically asked to be changed was still on my car. I was unable to make it in the next day so I came in on Sunday. I was told that they were expecting me on Saturday and the tire had been «misplaced» again. I came in for the 4^th time on Monday. Received my 4^th tire and a free oil change. Monday night I opened my trunk to put groceries in it and realized they had not put my spare tire back in my car. I called this morning (Tuesday) and they were able to locate the tire and delivered it to me. I will not be using NTB services again other than the free rotation and balance for the life of these tires.

I came in very flustered from some very bad luck earlier that day, and I was greeted with a great and helpful attitude. They helped me with the decision making and changed my tire right away. Great experience!

I scheduled online yesterday. I came in a few mins early and I was told it would take at least two hours to «work me in». I told them I couldn’t wait that long. He said he would call me when they were ready for me and wrote down my number.
I never received a call. I rescheduled online last night. Came in today, expressed my disappointment and was told they don’t have time to call appointments back in that left.
Then the service tech tells me I need rear brake pads, which I probably do, and he says it’ll only take 20 mins and won’t be too expensive. I ask for a price. The counter agent returns and tells me it’s $ 100 minimum for labor then $ 70 for the pads. I express my disbelief that he’s going to charge me $ 100 labor for 20 mins worth of work. He says «that’s the price. I can’t change the price».
I’ve seen them waive part of the labor charge plenty of times. I will not be back to this location unless corporate can change my mind.

These guys are awesome!!! They’re really nice and polite and they patched my tire for no charge.

Just Do not go there… take forever for a simply oil change and the customer service suck to the point that they ignore u when u just go in.

Very unprofessional customer service from the big guy working the morning of 6.15.15. Took my keys and left after getting attitude.

Not sure why this place gets such bad reviews. I came here for the first time because the pressure in my tire was low. They put air in the tires — no charge. Second time I had a nail in my tire — patched it up no charge. The place is clean and has a decent waiting room with wifi.

Absolutely horrible. They ripped me off big
time. I’m embarrassed that I let it happen.
On top of it all, someone from their corporate office or whatever called to see how my experience was about a week after I was there. I told her what happened, and she said «ok my manager will call you back to follow up.» …still waiting for that call, months later. I’ll never go to NTB again.

These guys are trash. I got screwed over so bad here. When i arranged for a tow truck to take my car to another garage they refused to release my vehicle until i paid the $ 20 service fee, which they refused to take over the phone. Even after explaining that i was working and could not take 2 hours off just to pay them $ 20 they acted like their hands were tied. Even dominoes takes payments over the phone! If you want my advice, take your car to Larry’s Auto in Buckhead. Cheaper, friendlier, and all around better. They also take payments over the phone.

Had a tire that need patching on a Sunday. NTB was the only place open nearby. Guy that helped me was awesome and very kind. Fixed the patch and didn’t even charge me a thing.

I was amazed by the professional service and attitude of the workers there. They went above and beyond to make sure that my car was checked out in all ways. I left feeling like I had a new car again.
Then I brought my wife’s car for a check –up and it was in good shape. They could have told me it needed all kinds of things. They care about my long-​term business. Thanks, Dr. Ken

Horrible for oil change! Set up a reservation online for a fixed time, but apparently that means nothing!!! Still have to wait for more than an hour.
I went to waffle house across the street, waited in line, ate breakfast, got back and they still hadn’t started on my car!

The associate that originally assisted me on the bad service day, saw my review on Unilocal and gave me a call. I explained my review and he offered to appease me… I said sure, I’ll come in for a FREE oil change for my troubles. So, I Made an appointment… A few days later I show up for my appt and I called to say I was a few minutes late. Walked in 7 minutes later… The same service manager was standing at the counter. Assisting a customer… He’s the only person working. He doesn’t acknowledge a single person in the store! Two customers walked out and never returned. After waiting a few more minutes… At this point he has walked away, came back, walked away again, came back… And still didn’t acknowledge a soul. I finally decided, the customer service is so bad… I don’t even want FREE. The End
