Finally did it. Finally ate here. No, I did not get the Grandma Pie. My philosophy on pizza is that I don’t give a shit what your specialty is, if you can’t make a great sausage onion pizza, goodbye. So that’s where I started. Plus, I got an order of meatballs because #meat. The pizza was good! I liked it. Look, if we were in the Midwest I wouldn’t give this pizza a second thought. But we’re not. We’re in Atlanta where the pizza sucks ass everywhere and this one is pretty good. Good crust, sauce and cheese. I’m relatively satisfied. Meatballs were great! Loved these. Will get them again. Pretty simple, but great flavor. Just how I like it. And there are raisins in them. Which is just incredibly weird but it works. I just… I can’t get past paying $ 18.50 for a large pizza with like 10 small pieces of sausage and a few red onions. I know it’s the norm for pizza to be overpriced here and it’s totally acceptable but I’m going to be a dick and take a stand. Anyways, I’ll still be going back to check out the grandma and the cheese bread. Also side note, the Irwin Street Market is the weirdest place on earth. What is going on there?

We were wanting to try something different while having to come down to Atlanta. I found this one on Unilocal.Yummmmy! The garlic knots were very good but the pizza crust is super thin and very good. My husband, daughter and myself enjoyed our pizzas.

Finally found a pizza in Atlanta! Antico is very good but you get the pizza their way not your way. Moved from Columbus Ohio in April and have been trying to find a good pizza since. Would have given a 5 star but asked for crispy and it was not a well done as we like. I know next time it will be. Found out about this place on NextDoor. GREAT suggestion neighbors!

The dining experience to me was not very good… just sort of some random tables sat around and a little gift shop type place right next to all the seating. Pizza was solid, def way above average

We’re self-proclaimed pizza snobs, and after seeing the rave reviews for O4W thought we MUST go. We went, and sadly, the salad was the highlight of our meal. The house salad is the shi-, good seasoned breadcrumbs and fresh crispy red onions, mixed greens, tomatoes, chick peas, delish house vinegerette. But the pie on the other hand – face palms. It had virtually no sauce, and was just mediocre at best. We waited forever and had high hopes, but we will not be returning. The juice place next door however has excellent smoothies. But can’t recommend O4W.

The Grandma pizza is worth a 5 star rating alone. It’s the absolute perfect combination of dough, sauce and cheese. The ingredients are fresh. It’s 100% no-nonsense amazing pizza. It’s worth the drive from anywhere around Atlanta and worth every penny.

Really great pizza! We ordered the grandmas pie(for 2 people) and had to take about half of it home, it’s huge! The crust was thin and crispy, just how we like it, but not burnt like some other places make it. The sauce, mozzarella and basil were so tasty! You definitely need a good amount of napkins, from the olive oil, but you don’t feel greasy or salty afterwards like some other pizza places. We also ordered the garlic knots which were tasty too. The place is very unique as it serves as a shared location with a juice bar and what seems like an ice cream and bakery place. There is also a small market to browse around while you wait for your pizza to cook, with soaps, honey, jams and other local books and art pieces. Overall the pizza is excellent and I can’t wait to try the other pies.

I am really amazed by how high this place is rated. I was really looking forward to a new pizza place within walking distance cause pizza is my favorite food. O4W Pizza offers up New Jersey pies which is a new spin for me. I went with a friend as he has limited palate and pizza is one of the things he is OK with eating. At the time, they had a scoutmob deal which we both used. We both got pizza(my order was grandma pie and pepperoni slice). I got garlic knots and he got cheese bread. Apparently, if slices are already out you get those slices and they are reheated. Not everything is fresh. Dang. And given that case, I would have expected for them to get our pizza out faster. The garlic knots were a fail, unfortunately. Not garlicky enough. The cheese bread was better. The pizza was OK. Wasn’t a big fan of the grandma pie. I don’t get what is so special about it. A friend who is from Jersey also tried them out on a separate occasion and he said the pizza was just average, as well.

Easily the best pizza in town. They have some unusual topping combos which are always awesome and fun to try. But too often they don’t have enough variety but I can’t argue because the pizza that is available is top class. Try the grandma slices. The regular slices are huge. Two slices for me and I am definitely satisfied. I usually go during the week after work and it’s normally quiet so I strongly recommend going then. The only downside is who checks you out. Has zero personality and I mean zero. Over the last few visits she’s worked on her service skills but even still she seems in-genuine. Puts a damper on the experience but the pizza is by far the best around and it’s not even close.

The Grandmas Pie: fresh basil and great marinara. The service was kind and efficient. I would definitely go back!

I heard that hype that O4W had supplanted Antico’s as the #1 pizza place in Atlanta. And while it was great I wouldn’t put it at #1. I made it a point to try the traditional New York style as well as the Grandma’s. The Grandma’s was easily the best. The cheese, sauce, and basil give it the edge. It’s very thin compared to traditional pizza and is very lite. I would definitely recommend it. The shop itself is a pretty cool little scene. A few seats inside and out. Overall a nice addition to the Atlanta pizza scene

UM… YES!!! This place is off the charts delicious! NY style slices! I highly recommend the Grandma’s. Fresh ingredients, made to order, and full of flavor! I definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. I’ll be sure to come back soon!

Tired of bustle, lines and silly prices at Krog Street Market? Here’s an idea… pop across the street and try O4W Pizza. Beltline adjacent, this place is an absolute gem… the crust is thin, although they do offer a «Grandma Slice» done in a pan… haven’t tried but I believe they use homemade mozzarella and marinara on it… so it is definitely intriguing, the sauce is flavorful and the toppings are delish. The best thing about this place is they sell pizza by the slice. Perfect for lunch or a mid-afternoon snack after a bit of exercise on the beltline. Prices are reasonable. I am dying to try the meatballs… I’ll be heading back soon.

Premium pizza in a small marketplace — it’s easy to miss but well worth finding. O4W pizza is located in the Irwin Street Market near the Beltline. With all the(deserved) hype at Krog Street Market across the street, you almost won’t notice that it’s there. But wow, this pizza is good! I came with a few friends to grab a few slices after spending time in the nearby Edgewood neighborhood. The pizza restaurant is in a corner of Irwin Street Market, which also has Jake’s ice cream and a few other shops. There was a problem with the oven that day, so I could only order some of the«grandma slices». We had really wanted to try O4W, so we ordered the only slices we could get. The grandma slice is a rectangular slice of pizza that has crust which is somewhere in between thin and thick. My slice only had cheese, sauce, and a few leaves of basil. The slices aren’t huge — 2 grandma slices will equal 1 ½ slices of pizza at other places. Everything was perfect about the pizza. The crust was soft, the sauce was tasty and had the right amount of salt, and there was just the right amount of the cheese. There isn’t a lot of parking or a lot of seating for the restaurant. Definitely would come back again for pizza, even if the grandma slice is again the only item on the menu.

Went here after seeing the Creative Loafing win for best pizza. I was sorely disappointed. Although the pizza was decent, it was miles behind Antico and Ammazza. It took forever to get our slices. The pizza is in my opinion overpriced for what you get and their markup on slices is so high. A slice of their Grandma’s Pie is 3.75 and it’s just a margarita pizza in the shape of a square. They also seemed unorganized even though the were more staff working than customers in the store. We asked for basil on our slice of cheese pizza… didn’t get it. The couple we were with ordered a pizza and a whole ingredient was left off. Then they forgot an order for our table only to say they ran out of cheese pizza. To their credit, they did make up for that one. Overall I am glad I have tried it to check it off the list but I will not be returning. They need to lower prices and get themselves more organized if they want to compete with the top pizza shops in ATL.

Hi, I am speaking only for slices. Have not tried any other items here —- My first thought was 3 stars(A-Ok) is because the other slices have no game, they can’t knock down Antico’s! The Grandma’s Pie would be the only game changer here. Also, they were awesome in feeding us pizza at 2:58 pm.(they shut down from 3 – 5 to make dough) Still #1 for Midtown area’s Antico’s and their amazing pizza ovens. #2 for Fritti.

We came here on a Thursday night for a grandma slice. We arrived around 8:30ish; the line was long and the servers, while super friendly, seemed a bit scattered. It definitely took over 30 minutes from the time we waited in line, placed an order, and got our pizza. However, the wait was worth it. The grandma slice is a perfect bite of heaven; fresh, flavorful tomato sauce, great cheese ratio, thin yummy crust, and great basil. We added sausage to our slices, but in retrospect, I think going the purist route is the way to go. If in the area, I’d recommend as I love that you can order by the slice or get a whole pie. You may just want to call ahead and if you’re in a hurry(but to be honest, even those with call ahead orders waited too). Yum yum yum.

3.5 stars** This pizzeria caught my eye after leaving Jake’s Ice Cream place. I was 95% full at this point since I ate brunch just a few minutes ago but I had to try it! It looked so good. I wanted to try the garlic knots too since they were tiny but there was no way I could finish it alone — the punk with me was 99% full. –_– I pointed to the slice of pizza that looked pretty and I hoped it had truffle oil. The only thing I could see and taste was mushrooms, spinach, mozzarella cheese, NO sauce, and I’m not sure what the clumps were. The pizza was very attractive but unfortunately dry. Overall, I would try their other pies.

O4WPIZZA!!! I was extremely excited when my boyfriend brought me here after we left the Auburn Fest and I was too uncomfortable to enjoy myself. I’d read it about on Creative Loafing and when I read the owners were from Jersey, I knew I had to make it here before –if– they closed. I keep missing places I want to try because Atlanta is growing and restaurants aren’t able to stay open! We came here and looked around. This used to be Jake’s but Jake’s is on the side and they are soaps and other odds & ends in the middle for purchase. I had to use the bathroom, so when I walked in a saw what used to be a shower.. . I was confused. Not sure what it used to be but hey — it served the purpose needed. I came out and sat at one of the all-white tables. They weren’t the cleanest, but… you know. We were sitting down talking when I saw something in my peripheral vision and it was a big a** water bug! My boyfriend’s younger sister wanted to leave and normally I would have wanted to as well, but I had to try this pizza. While waiting for the pizza, I was talking to a woman with two small children about the park around the corner from the restaurant and the sprinklers. and guess who it was? Turned out to be the owner! She was so down to earth, her older son was the cashier, her husband was in the back making pizza and we got to talking about New Jersey — most of my Unilocal friends know I’m a Jersey girl in the A, but this made my experience 10x better because she seemed like a regular customer. The pizza was pretty good. We got a Jersey round to share. We topped it with sausage and pepperoni. I usually get extra cheese but I didn’t this time. The pizza was thin and filling after I’d eaten one slice. It wasn’t the best pizza I’d ever had but it wasn’t the worst, either. I may come back but in Atlanta — nothing is topping Fellini’s to me. If I was just rating the pizza, I’d have to give it a 3 but the friendliness and comfort of a family owned business makes me give them a 4.
