Off the Hook Barber Shop

Great shop! Love the look and professionalism of the Barbers. Jace gave me an excellent fade! Will visit again whenever I come to Atlanta!

I was in town for a wedding a few weeks ago from DC and Tariq took great care of me. He doesn’t take appointments on fridays though. Very professional and detailed with his craft.

When I moved from California to Georgia there definitely wasn’t a lack of black barbershops in Atlanta. I’ve been to a number of places from from the east side to the west side to the south side.. nnnnoott really up north God bless their hearts. When I came to off the hook I was in limbo. Going to the east to have my haircut by a dude who constantly swore in front of little kids and women. Frequently sent his buddies to the package store to get his drink of choice and would drink while I was in the chair. Needless to say when I came to «Off the Hook» I was happy at the level of professionalism. Once I sat in Tariqs chair he made sure I would be taken care of and I voiced my concerns I had with other barbers and assured me that it wouldn’t happen here. It’s been 2 years and I haven’t left off the hook our Tariqs chair. Check him out the guy is a genius and always has good positive conversation flowing. It’s an experience along with a good cut.

Good clean respectable shop. They do good work in a professional atmospher.

There is a woman there who did my weave and no one has ever touched her work since. when I met her she was very friendly pleasant and was great with my hair. no one has EVER done a weave like hers EVER I hope that she is still working there I plan to make a trip to atl just to see her.

After finding GlamBar here on Unilocal & having an upsetting experience, (more on that later), a barber in the area recommended Melody at OtH. I can’t even tell you how on the ball she was, but I’ll try:
My afternoon had been botched since the other salon didn’t have a stylist avail to do my hair after scheduling my appointment. Melody took the call & confirmed that she could take me on in less than an hr. I was happy to find she’s not a stylist that tries to rip you off by charging more due to the length of your hair.
Upon my arrival, she was pleasant and let me know that she’d get me started within the next 5 – 10. From the time I sat down, we had great rapport, she seemed genuinely concerned & was very cognizant of my hair’s nature & condition (I have very long, natural hair).
She & Mo were wonderful, making me feel right at home and joking like we were old friends. The gentlemen in the shop were congenial and respectful, making the environment comfortable for everyone.
Although Melody was also working on another client, I never had to wait more than 15mins to move the to next step of my appointment. She had me in and out in less than 2 hours, despite my hair’s length! I ended up with a beautiful result at a great price, and I’ll definitely be returning.
